Embera Indigenous Village & Waterfall Tour With Lunch

It was a good experience. I did pay extra for an individual tour but only the drive to and from the river was individual. Unfortunately this tour has become much more commercial than when I did it 8 years ago. There were about 30 other people at the village. We heard of much larger crowds during high season. Oh well, it’s popular because it’s unique and interesting.

Great experience. I would recommend this company to anybody wanting to travel to Embara Village. Elliot was outstanding. He attention to detail perfect. He explained everything to perfection.

Our tour guide Elliot was great. Safe driver, funny, knowledgeable, and takes nice photos for you. We enjoyed the trip and had fun with the Embera tribes. The lunch was delicious, too. Highly recommended.

Everything about the tour was fantastic and fascinating to us. We had a great time and enjoyed the food and fruits which was very filling. Would definitely do it again just for the experience all over again.

I had the best experience at embera village, everyone is so kind. The food was amazing. The culture is beautiful and so informative. The entire experience was worth the money and more. What a blessing to get to experience a little bit of the Embera People way of living. Our tour guide Ooo La La was the absolute best, so kind and helpful, plus he's super funny so had the best experience everrr.

A highly recommended experience, it takes you outside of Panama City, to get an experience away from the skyscrapers etc. Getting an understanding of the Embera culture was very humbling in the best way. I highly recommend our tour guide Elliot, he navigated us (my sister and I) through the hike and the language barrier. 100% recommended!

I had such a wonderful experience! My tour guide was Elliot and he was beyond amazing. He was very informative along the way letting us know about the different languages and the communities within the Embera Village. He always checked in and made sure we were good. Took all the photos and videos. 10/10 across the board and if I ever visit another time I’ll definitely be booking again.

It was a private tour for two. Gabrielle was our driver and guide. He provided excellent service with personal care and catering to our needs. I would highly recommend him as a guide.

We had an amazing time would definitely recommend to go with friends and family. Our guide was so amazing he made sure we had the correct shoes on . We made a short stop to buy them . Also the rain came he made sure we had raincoats he really looked out for us 10/10 would recommend unfortunately I can’t remember his name all I remember calling him uncle lol he and his nephew were both brilliant

We had a wonderful experience! The trip was a great adventure for us with the Conoe rides and waterfall mixed with the cultural information and meal provided by the Embera tribe. Very nice tour this one and very nice experience. Our dive guide Elliot was very polite and available to stop everytime we asked. Also he sent us many photos that he did very nice. I raccomand them because we had a wonderful time together.

Elliott was great he came on time to pick up me and my family. Some of us had problems with our he walk to the waterfall, but he was fine patient and took his time helping us on the natural terrain. The natives were super welcoming and warmed us up to entering their village. I would definitely give this experience a 10/10. Make sure to book with Jaylan tours and ask for Elliott.

This tour was totally worth it. The guide, Elliot, was very friendly, got us fresh fruits and water bottles and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. The hike to the waterfall is an adventure! You will get very muddy and walk through shallow water. With that being said, i’d wear shoes with good grip instead of sandals because there are spots where the mud/clay is slippery. Learning about and interacting with the Embera tribe was such a privilege. They are kind, welcoming, and the lunch they served us was delicious. I am really, really happy with my experience

Elliot, our guide, is remarkable. The tour is very difficult for. Person that is older. He was invaluable with his assistance. I couldn’t have done it without him. I’m glad I did the tour to get a frat feel for the indigenous people of Panama. The dancing, the crafts, the food. It’s an experience not to be missed if visiting the country. I would demand going with Elliot. He knows the history, is patient and knows all of the people.

Elliot was a fantastic guide. He was prompt for pickup, his vehicle was clean and spacious, and his English was great. He even shared local information while we were stuck in traffic, which made the time enjoyable. The boat ride was marvelous and worth the small additional free for the private tour. There was no need to ask other passengers to move of shift seats for pictures. It was just our family, Elliot, and the boat's owner. Everything was included so there were no additional boat fees. The drive was scenic. We had monkeys come right on to our boat, saw a tree sloth, many birds, and plants. I highly recommend this tour. I have no notes. Eliot exceeded our expectations.

This was the best experience in Panama. Elliott took such good care of us. We saw everything and had plenty of time to spend with the Embera and their children. I’ve never experienced anything like this I recommend this experience for anyone who visits Panama

I will NEVER book this experience again! What was supposed to be a wonderful trip for my birthday turned out to be a money hungry disaster!!! I asked the tour guide if I could cancel because he changed the meeting location after I booked 5 days prior! He never offered to reschedule because he didn’t care!!! A family member was already en route on their plane and would not have the updated location to meet us there. That was not taken into consideration as well!! Do not book for your peace! He took my birthday money! No empathy @ all!! DONT BOOK! I traveled from DC to PANAMA for this tour!!!!!!!

We had a very amazing experience it was very Hands-On our tour guide was a very knowledgeable about Panama it's culture and knew everything about the indigenous tribes that we were visiting he was very friendly to our children need to stop at a store for us because she didn't have the proper shoes very very nice and kind.

The driver was amazing. Super kind and helpful also spoke both English and Spanish which is not super common here. The Embera culture was so rich and beautiful. I would skip the tattoos they give you in semi permanent ink. But the waterfall and village was a 10/10 PLEASE DO IT!!

The waterfall was too slippery climbing up and down rocks that I decided to not do it. Apparently the water was too low for the canoes to go further upstream. I didn’t know you could take the excursion without the waterfall which I would have done. Also on the Viator site which we paid $45 for it said everything was included only to be told the night before that we had to pay $35 pp for the Embara village. The fruit they had was good but the fish and other things they had for “lunch” was awful. I would not go on this tour again and it was not worth $80.

I think this tour is going to be the highlight of my visit in Panama.. It was all I expected plus more. From start to finish Logan our tour guide was friendly and professional. Communication with him was very clear and it would seem like you knew him forever!!! He's very helpful, always willing to give a helping hand. I would like to visit again with more family membwrs because I think everyone should experience this interaction with the Embera tribe!!! I will definately book Logan again for future tours!!!!!!!

Great tour company and an amazing experience! This trip was the highlight of my visit to Panama. The canoe ride on the Chagres River was beautiful and relaxing. The natural pool at the waterfall was very refreshing and a perfect place to swim. Visiting the Emberá village community was incredible and gave us a wonderful cultural experience. Overall, I enjoyed every moment of this tour. Thank you!

Really interesting tour and a fun experience. The canoe ride to the waterfall was a fun experience, and then the Embrera village was super interesting. The lunch was delicious and there was plenty, and they talked to us while we ate about their customs and culture and answered lots of questions. The dances were fun too, our group got temporary tattoos while watching the dances. Everyone was so kind and welcoming and it was a very interesting look into an indigenous culture that still felt very genuine and respectful. I would definitely take other friends there too.
