Dance instructor was actively engaging. But, it was in someone's apartment turned into a dance studio! The host should offer bottled water not water from a pitcher. The dance lesson lasted approximately 1 hour but the transition to the night out part was not as expected. We were taken to one club that had no salsa that night and the other club was empty so we left.

Very fun class. We got the basic steps taught by a wonderful instructor. I would definitely take another class the next time I'm in Panama City Panama
The young lady who gave the dance lessons was very nice. The problem I had with the experience was that after the short lesson which began at 7pm and was over at around 8pm, there was a problem with where the club dancing was going to take place. We walked to 3 different locations and either something else was going on or it looked like it was closing. Finally we arrived at an outdoor place and we were told that we should sit and wait until 9 pm I guess that was when the dancing would take place. I don't know what happened because I decided to leave.
Wonderful! We started off in a studio and learned a few moves. Teacher is very good. If you are a beginner, he can teach simple moves, and if you are advanced, he can challenge you with more creative moves. After our studio lesson, we went to a night club and danced. The teacher danced with us, so we felt comfortable. I recommend this class, not only for the dance lessons, but also to spend an enjoyable evening in a night club with a live band and good food.
A nice small group and a whole lot of fun. Both of our instructors were so great! All of us were band new to the movements of salsa, so it took some time to get the basics to sink in. They were patient and made the class extremely fun. I would suggest the safari option and just have a night of fun practicing what you just learned. Both instructors danced with me in the lounge and made the night just an amazing experience for me. I'll do this again and again anytime I visit.
The salsa lesson began on time. The instructors were delightful and patient. I would take lessons weekly if I were local.
This was such a fun and authentic way to experience salsa dancing “in the wild” with the Salsa Safari team. You don’t need a partner because the instructors dance with you and keep the energy high. The salsa lesson with Elier was engaging, fun and easy to follow. Martha and the Salsa Safari team welcomed me with open arms, and as a solo traveler, I felt safe and included the whole time. It felt like a night out with friends, and we danced the night away in a local Columbian restaurant. It was such a vibrant, high-energy experience and a great way to meet people. Highly recommend for solo travelers, couples or groups – the music is contagious and keeps everyone moving! Don't think twice, just book it!
I've taken many salsa dance lessons and this one was the best by far. Elimer has wonderful teaching techniques that even had my stoic husband ready to sign up for more lessons. He is also very friendly and has an extensive dance resume for a young man. We are now ready to learn more Afro Cuban and Cuban dance on our next visit it Panamá.
Had a blast with the crew at Salsa Safari! I learned some new moves and met some great people. The dancing venue was in point too-danced until my feet said no mas!
The location for the class is a small, cute studio. The instructor was great... explained things & repeated basics as much as we needed. That portion lasted about an hour. The next part got weird... I thought we would go dancing in the "wild" but instead he took us to the Hilton Casino. He offered to dance with each of us then literally bounced. Granted he said he wasn't feeling well but he could have at least told us other places to go on our own. We sat there for about an hour waiting for the "show". We watched a dance group perform then we left. I found a dancehall party for us to go to and have fun. I booked what I thought was a salsa night. It was really an overpriced class that dumped us off.
You don’t need to know how to dance you just need to bring your joy and excitement. I don’t do Latin dancing. But I and my friend had such a marvels time. And we definitely would not have dared try dancing at the Salsa bar without instructions and chaperone. Go go. Amazing time.
This was a great evening and a great introduction to salsa! The instructor did a wonderful job of explaining and showing each of us how to move! Ending at a club was fun and I’d definitely recommend this tour!
It was my last night in Panama and i decided to book this Salsa class, it was one of the best highlights for me in Panama. I had such an amazing time. My instructor was really patient while teaching me the steps for someone who has never danced before. He has convinced me to take up Salsas classes when I get back home. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!
As a solo traveler, this was an awesome experience! Nelson was great, he took his time to make sure you understood the steps and got the concept. I would highly recommend doing this tour for anyone
I had a private lesson with Francisco who was very patient with me as I negotiated my “two left feet”. By the end of the lesson, I felt like I had started to master the basics. I had assumed that we would be immediately heading to a salsa club elsewhere in Casco Viejo. I was surprised when he said that the next activity would be at the Tropicana Salsa Club at the casino within the Hilton along Avenida Balboa. As the event was over an hour later, Francisco was very kind to drop me off at my hotel in another neighborhood where I refreshed before heading back out to the Hilton. When I arrived at the Hilton, I easily found the Tropicana but I never found Francisco. I tried using the chat support to reach him or somebody but never got a response. I have to assume that either he got lost in the crowd himself or never came. In any event, the dance performance was fun to watch. As I had arrived just in time, I watched the event mostly on the video screens that the casino was thoughtful enough to provide. After a snack break following the performance, I watched the live salsa band play for a while but no one had yet dipped their toe onto the dance floor. It certainly wasn’t gonna be me as I was not going to cold-approach what I presumed would be experienced amateurs; I had thought perhaps Francisco would help facilitate those opportunities by asking for patients from would-be partners. In any event, after maybe twenty minutes of the band, I made my way back to my hotel. In summary, I had a great experience with my lesson. The subsequent situation at the club is where I remove my star. But I definitely recommend lessons at Salsa Safari: I already knew they were popular and if you have even more coordination than I do, you’ll learn a lot and have a lot of fun!
Wow. So much fun! The guys were extremely nice and patient and somehow made salsa dancing easy. They were very in to it which made it even more fun. Would highly recommend this night out!
A fun and memorable experience learning from experts and having the opportunity to practice in an authentic environment. Highly recommended!
The team at Salsa Safari are amazing. I needed to refresh my skills and work on my confidence, both which they happily offered. These people really know what they are doing.
We had a great time at our salsa class. The instructors were patient and really helpful and we brushed up on our steps. Marvin, who was terrific, took us to the the Selina rooftop salsa club and danced with us and made us feel comfortable. This was the highlight of our trip to Panama.
We had such a great time! We learned the basic steps of Salsa and after the hour of class we went to a bar where the locals danced salsa and we continued dancing there. Marvin is a great teacher. Very patient :) and an amazing dancer!
I tottally went out of my Comfort zone used to be travellin on my own and mainly surfin and swimming for pleasure and going on a Salsa lesson first ever pushed by a random thought of "why not" well i Loved it was super fun, very interesting and the team there made everyone feel so good and i have to say they are very knowledgeable and they managed to put everuone at ease and able to do a load of stuff in the space of 2hours. I am tottaly stoked by the experience and i am even considering going back tomorrow . i was even practising the basics , the side steps etc etc while i was walking back at my hostel and for sure i am going to include on my daily exercise routines as it feel so good to do the moves. Thanks to team of Salsa Safari i would love to mention your names but i cant remember i do know the main guy thats was giving the lesson is the one in the Top picture dressed in black dancin with the girl He was Top in creating the Vibe and with such genuine Energy ..Loads of Passion and Care To mention as well how professional he was throughout the all process before while messagin through whatsapp , during the amazin 2 hours of lesson and after communicating and making sure we should Have fun from here What way of finishing 2023!!!
Really fun! Great teaching and fun night out after. We had the best time learning to dance and going to the club
My wife and I were ecstatic about our experience with Salsa Safari. Our class was fun and exciting. Our instructor, Nelson, was patient and thorough. We are beginners and over 55 years old. We were comfortable and welcomed in the group. Most of our group were mature so don't let age discourage you. After class we went to a local hotel to show off our new skills. It too was exciting and fun. We were very comfortable as beginners to get on the dance floor. It was great to get to know my classmates and instructors. If you really want a great evening with a lot of fun, this is the tour for you. This tour, alone, was worth the trip to Panama!
My friends and I were in Panama City and decided to try a salsa class in Casco Viejo and boy are we glad that we did. Nelson was our instructor and he was the best. Martha came in later and was a joy as well and they put on a performance for us at the end of the session.
I can’t recommend this class enough. It was fun and really got us quickly salsa dancing. We then headed to a nearby roof top place with fantastic live music to dance. It was an amazing night out. You won’t regret this fun class.
After learning basic steps in a studio, we were taken to a casino where we danced our steps to the amusement of the locals. Then we watched a salsa show, danced one song with the instructor (1 instructor, 5 women) after which instructor and organiser took off. They were friendly. Lucky to get them to take us back. I feel it was somewhat falsely advertised and too expensive for what it was.
I used to do a bit of salsa dancing. Unfortunately, this time was a solo trip, but the teachers taught me basic dancing well and it was fun. Another student came with us and we went to another bar to see and enjoy dancing together.
The instructor was vibrant and fun. He made me feel extremely comfortable with my 1st experience salsa dancing. The studio experience was amazing but the night out at the Tropicana Salsa Club definitely enhanced the experience to the next level. Being able to take the lesson and apply it in an actual salsa club took my confidence to the next level. This is a must do experience and I assure you that you won’t regret the experience.
My wife and I had a blast on this beautiful night First off the Salsa lesson was well thought and all of this fabulous cast of 4 professionals were very attentive to our needs and also catered to our skills level After the lesson, we proceed to the Hotel Sofitel in Casco Viejo we’re the ambiance was incredible and relax with a magnificent view of the pacific. The view from the terrace was spectacular as well. Absolutely a great experience
Nelson was amazing!!! We had our class on Friday night. Learned salsa and was able to practice later on that night at the Hilton live band. Amazing teacher, i will recommend to friends and come back for other lessons.
Fantastic! The instructors were awesome. We started with dance lessons and then moved to the salsa club. When at the club you have a place to sit, but the instructors did a wonderful job of keeping me up off my seat and practicing dancing! They helped build skills. Each time I mastered a move, they threw something in new in for me to learn. If I was struggling with a move, they practiced it more. They were invested in my learning. They did an excellent job of mixing up partners which allowed for learning the different styles partners may have. I loved it 1000% and I wished I had more time in my schedule because I think I would have taken this class every night if my trip. Dress comfortably. I brought dance shoes and switched to my tennis shoes within 5 minutes of the start of class and was so glad I did. Salsa from my experience is come-as-you-are so no matter if you wear yoga pants or a dress, you will fit in. Everyone else really enjoyed the class with smiles all around. Amazing. loved it. Loved it. Loved it. The instructors were highly trained. Most had dance for 10-20 years.
I am still dreaming about my Salsa Night out with the team at Salsa Safari, it was the highlight of trip to panama! I learned new moves and it felt like hanging out with old friends. Martha and her crew are amazing at making you feel welcome and included. There are not enough stars to review this experience!!
Great teachers! Lots of fun! Was dancing real salsa in no time! Nelson and Angelica were my teachers and they made it easy to learn and a great experience! Go for it!
Nelson and Martha were absolutely amazing. We were stuck in traffic due to an event at the cathedral, but they waited for us and kept things moving. Their space is clean and the rooftop makes you feel like you’re dancing in the sky. We went to the RIU for their salsa night to show off our moves and show out is exactly what we did. Nelson and Martha are very professional and makes you feel comfortable everytime you move your feet. If we come back to Panama, we will be taking another class.🫶🏽
They tour operators were on time and very personable. The instructor was fantastic. He was supportive and encouraging. Made the Salsa easy. Our group had a blast!
What an amazing time we all had with Martha and her team of instructors dancing the night away in Panama! First of all, they are all such incredible people, we were laughing and having fun within minutes, no awkward "get to know you' phase involved at all. And we learned so quickly in the lesson portion of the evening because they are really good at breaking down the instruction and encouraging us every step of the way. We were ready when it came time to put our moves to the test on the dance floor in the club. The energy and enthusiasm of this team is world class. You will get swept up in the mesmerizing moves they all have when the let loose on the dance floor and they will take everyone along for the ride to make sure that everyone feels the same magic they feel dancing!
I loved this so much I came back with all of my friends! Martha and her team are so welcoming and fun on top of being such skilled dancers and instructors, that we immediately felt like pros hanging out with good friends! If you are hesitating, don't! Sign up for this salsa experience and have an amaing night out to remember forever!

Absolutely wonderful night! The instructors were so kind and patient and very skilled at what they do. I was worried about feeling awkward and not being able to catch on since I have never danced before. They made us feel immediately at ease and by the end of the night we were having the time of our lives! This experience starts with a lesson in a hip local restaurant/bar, and then the team takes us to an amazing venue with live music to dance all night. I can't say enough good things. If you are worried about being out of your comfort zone, don't be. It felt more like hanging out with old friends who happen to be professional salsa dancers!
We had a blast!! They were lovely people who have a clear passion for salsa! As instructors they were patient and fun. Their demo was amazing and dancing in the club with them was beyond words!! We felt like VIP’s all night! Don’t think twice, book this experience now.
This experience was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I am not even exaggerating. This was just the best in all ways, definitely unique, one of a kind, and something that I will remember as the highlight of my trip to Panama, by far! This dance crew is magnificent in every single way. They are passionate about salsa, extremely welcoming and patient, excellent instructors, and phenomenal dancers! Even though I have never danced before they made me feel right at home, as if we had been friends forever. And their expert instruction and genuine encouragement gave me the confidence to dance all night! So glad I booked with them, if you want to have the time of your life, you will book with them too!
Dang this was more fun than I could have possibly imagined. I had such a blast with all of the instructors, the other people in the class, and all of the people I met on the dance floors. We got to experience multiple live bands and a salsa show. After the live music ended, we. continued dancing past midnight with a DJ! I am inspired to continue taking lessons when I get home, and I can't wait to come back!
We are experienced salsa dancers but Marvin gave us a great course where we learned great legwork 😅then he took us to a salsa bar (the balboa) then safely brought us back (it’s important there 😅 ) great bar with DJ dancers who bring in addition to instruments and cheer you if they think you danced well or felt the music 🫣 crazy atmosphere!!! Thanks again to Marvin
It was a dreamlike and very funny evening. Within 30-60 minutes we were able to take many basic steps and were able to dance very well on the dance floor to the music of the live band during the subsequent round through the old town. The dance teacher is great and lives and loves the salsa. We spent a wonderful evening with him. Thank you.
There were only two people at the course and three instructors. The lesson of 1 hour was good, although it was difficult to communicate in English, Salsa dancing with live band was stimulating and interesting. The three dancers, very dedicated.
