Our stay at the Waldorf Astoria Panama was absolutely exceptional from beginning to end. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and perfectly located, with luxurious rooms, outstanding amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere that made our family feel right at home. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible hospitality from William. He went above and beyond to ensure our family was well taken care of. William was especially wonderful with our kids—always friendly, patient, and engaging, making them feel just as valued as the adults. His warm personality, attentive service, and genuine kindness turned every meal into a memorable experience. Thank you to the entire team at the Waldorf Astoria Panama for an amazing stay, and a special thank you to William for making our family vacation even more special. We can't wait to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Panama City!

This is not a 5-Star hotel! I've stayed at the Sofitel Legend in Casco Viejo and The JW Marriott in Punta Pacifica, all listed as 5-Star, however the Waldorf is not in the same class of hotel. This hotel is 3.5 to 4.0 star at best. The location is loud and dirty, but convenient if you want to walk to a dance club or coffee shop. The staff is friendly, but work on their own time. We were promised a room change because most, if not all rooms look into a dirty building across the street and it took them until after 8pm, and multiple phone calls to relocate us. The hotel was not crowded and the housekeeping staff cleans about one room every 3-4 hours, which is why it took so long. I have stayed in Waldorfs in NYC and Dubai, which are 5-Star, unfortunately, this is not one of them, and I will never stay here again.
Really a very nice property. Staff and Concierge are top notch. Oliver was a pleasure to work with and in many ways made our trip! The rooms were nicely kept and serviced very well. Nice attention to detail. The spa was well run and very relaxing. Skilled masseuses and abundant service options. The pool area is nice and clean, and the water very comfortable. The attendants and staff did a really nice job and the cocktails were tasty and balanced. We had breakfast at Matiz each day. Nice self serve spread and either omelets or waffles made to order. A selection of fresh juices were made available each day as well as a luxurious spread of breads, pastries, fruits, charcuterie and hot entrees. All in all, this property lives up to the Waldorf Astoria name; I will absolutely return when I am in Panama City next.
The hotel is conveniently located in the neighborhood of Marbella. The staff is genuinely warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is decent, with stations for omelettes or eggs cooked to your preference, adding a thoughtful touch. However, I noticed that some facilities could use refreshing. While the lobby is beautifully decorated and inviting, the rooms, gym, and pool don't quite match the modern standards I expected from a Waldorf property.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Beds were super comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was nice. The only issue we had with our room was that the walls were very thin. There were several times we were woken up by noise from the room next to us. However, The employees and their warm personalities were a highlight of our trip. Seeing William's smile at breakfast in the morning was something to look forward to. He helped us with recommendations around the city. We were very appreciative. Anthony L. and Ernesto were also very pleasant and gave great service at the breakfast buffet. And finally, thank you to Lille, or concierge for excellent recommendations! She knows all the best spots.
