Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo

A perfect five star hotel and service. This hotel is definitely going to be in the top 5 hotels I've been to. The hotel was really nicely decorated by the sea and there were good restaurants and bars. The rooftop bar was really amazing with secret surprises. Perfect view directly towards the skyscrapers of Panama. But the best thing about the hotel was not the surroundings, but the people. Excellent service all the way. Special thanks to Concierge Luisa. She was always to top of things and took excellent care of us. A really wonderful person! I will remember this hotel for the rest of my life.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Previously I stayed at the St Regis Florence for my honeymoon and at the time I thought Noone could beat the level of service but I was wrong. From the moment you walk in you are treated like royalty. They staff remembered us by name and greeted us everytime we walked in . They thought of every detail to make our stay as seamless and comfortable as possible . The location is ideal. The bed is so comfortable you will have the best sleep of your life, and the sound proofing on the room is great so you can’t hear anything outside . My favorite thing about the room was the balcony. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a great view when I let them know that was important to me . Also the pastries and coffee at the hotel cafe were the best I’ve had and the food in all onsite restaurants were delicious including at the rooftop bar. The pool is awesome- it also has views of the ocean. They even have a hidden speakeasy . I could go on and on. Best thing about the hotel were the warm and friendly staff . Every single person we interacted with was a pleasure to deal with. Don’t hesitate and book your stay here

We stayed 3 nights at this beautiful property and it was fantastic. Our room was spacious, clean and offered a stunning view of the city skyline and ocean. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We felt like we were part of their family. The food at their main restaurant Caleta was delicious with a great service from Eduardo. We also enjoyed Ammi, their Rooftop, where we had some nice drinks combined with delicious meat. We are already planning to come back.

I've stayed at luxury hotels around the world and I can state unequivocally that this Sofitel Legend holds it own with the best. Many rooms have a balcony that overlook Panama Bay. Rooms are large and include the usual basics. The hotel exudes Old World charm. All staff clearly have been carefully recruited and scrupulously trained to provide meticulous, unwaveringly outstanding service. Spend some time in the lobby or at the bar and you expect Claude Rains to enter in a crisp white suit, or Ingrid Bergman in search of...romance. The Speakeasy Bar on a higher floor is a must-visit, sequestered behind a faux book case replete with a peek-a-boo sliding window to check you out before letting you enter. Again, the throwback atmosphere is spot-on. As they say, you get what you pay for. Sofitel Legend is definitely worth a splurge in return for unforgettable memories.
