We initially enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Convenient location. However, BEWARE! My friend left her Apple ear buds accidentally and we contacted the hotel on our way to the airport and told them where they were and asked if they could mail them or if we could have a friend pick them up at reception. My friend got a notification that they were found so we continue to call the hotel and they refused to answer our call or messages. Her tracking app shows that someone from the hotel obviously stole them and took them home even though we made them aware of the situation. Because of dishonest employees I would not stay there again.

This was our hotel for our first leg in Panama. First impressions were pretty good. The hotel is in an excellent location in the middle of Casco Viejo. The lobby was clean and cool, if not slightly over scented with a diffuser of some sort. Service was good with the front desk helping us bring our bags up to our room. The room itself was very nice. We had to ask for the front area to be vacuumed (crumbs from prior guest) and for an extra wash cloth but nothing egregious. There was visible water damage around the entrance to the room too around the ceiling. I think things slowly started to unravel at night two. Over night there was a big fire a few blocks away and emergency services had to shut down water and electricity to the building. Which is fine! Obviously not anything the hotel can control, but what can be controlled is the communication to guests about what's going on and what can be done. The front desk had communicated very well through whatsapp and had not proactively told anyone (that I could tell) what had happened. I had to go down to the lobby to ask what was going on and only got a vague understanding of the impacted area and how long things would be out for (from his explanation I thought half of Casco Viejo was shut down), but when I messaged over whatsapp I got no response when I asked where I could go to find the nearest bathroom, considering that it wasn't clearly communicated to what extent the shutoff was (duration or coverage). I had to wander out and go find some nearby cafes that had restrooms I could use. As compensation they gave us a free breakfast to their restaurant El Enemigo, and the service was so bad there we didn't even stay. When we went in the host prompted us to sit "wherever", several of the tables were still dirty, and after we requested water waited for about 10 minutes we watched as he came back to clean off the tables rather than get us water or take our orders. Unsure to the degree to which the restaurant and hotel are affiliated, but not a great experience. To compound on that after the water and electricity came back on (same morning as when it went out, thankfully not too long) the AC went out. For context we visited in the off season where it was regularly 90 degrees+ and incredibly humid and sunny. Needless to say we were incredibly uncomfortable and woke up sweating. The hotel offered us to go across the street to stay in another room where the AC was apparently still working, but with it being our last night we were unwilling to run between buildings just to get a night's sleep. This issue was all of course again not proactively communicated to any guests. The AC was still not working by the time we checked out. As a final note our room wasn't very soundproof. We could hear every person as they went through the hall, their voices quite loudly if they were talking, and construction from somewhere around the hotel early in the morning (hammering starting around 9:00). By the end of our stay I think the only highlight of the hotel I could think of was the location! Overall I recommend folks to get an Airbnb or something in the area. The troubles, room quality, and lack of communication just aren't worth it.
Nice hotel on a superb location in old town Panama. The hotel has two parts, we where located on the third floor in the building opposite to the reception. Nice room clean room. Only downside was the noise of the roofbar and the people comming and going to the bar. The view on roofbar is very nice!
Had a wonderful stay. Every staff member was friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to ensure we had a good experience especially Daniel and Kimberly. The room was comfortable and quiet. There was construction going on outside the hotel, but that is unavoidable. The location was perfect. I would be more than happy to stay here again!
Here’s a shorter, more direct version: ⸻ I stayed here for two nights at the end of my trip to Panama, and unfortunately, they were the worst nights of sleep of the entire trip. The noise was unbearable — trucks backing up at 4 AM, cars honking all night, and people screaming outside. Sleeping properly was almost impossible. The room looked nice at first glance, but there was hair and debris on the floor near the toilet and in the corners. The air-conditioning had a strange smell. Housekeeping left dirty towels in the room and didn’t replace them. I also emailed in advance to say I’d arrive about an hour early and was told it wouldn’t be a problem. When I arrived, they tried to charge me $50 for early check-in. After a short discussion, the fee suddenly disappeared, which felt very uncomfortable. This was the most expensive hotel of my trip and sadly the most disappointing. Great location, but for the price, I expected much better.
