Terrible place, dangerous ghetto-like neighborhood, dirty hotel and room, photos don't show the reality. Weak Wi-Fi, bathroom lacked a towel rack, broken A/C thermostat, long wait to get the room, poor-quality breakfast served in a horrible and crowded function room, attempted break-in by another guest, and I still haven't received a refund for the nights I cancelled. I do not recommend it.
It’s a busy hotel. The price is just right. The breakfast is very very good. Everyday different menu. No wonder how busy it is even on the low season. It’s good on a budget.
Clean large rooms good breakfast nice restaurant pool Isley, the receptionist, was very helpful and attentive. All requests for service were handled efficiently. Air conditioning and hot water.
So our friends were staying there and after dinner we went back to their hotel (we’re visiting from USA and staying at the Hyatt regency) to visit as well as sit by the empty rooftop pool. As we were walking in the lady at the front stopped my friend (the one staying there) and said it will be $20.00 for me to go visit. I was very mad and I told her I am not a “working girl” we’re just here to hang out for a min. She then asked for my passport. We paid the $20.00 (well $45 it’s was two of us) and went up. I was pissed! Never have I ever had to pay just to visit a friends hotel room.
The hotel is nice and clean. Our room (823) is very spacious with a separate bedroom; tv is only in bedroom. Everyone including staff are very nice! The not good: EXTREMELY COLD 🥶 can’t shut a/c off and to turn it up does nothing! We arrived Tuesday and today is Friday and haven’t gotten good rest. We are booked here at this hotel for 8 nights (823 room) and want to change hotels. Hubby and I are freezing! I currently have on 2 pair of socks, hubby’s parachute pants, 2 shirts and a hoodie and a bonnet to keep my head warm and Hubby has on jeans, shirts, socks and hoodie...I did not pack for cold in Panama. I spoke with the front desk several times but nothing. We won’t be back to this hotel and would not recommend especially if you are an older adult who may have sensitivity to cold, hence coming to a hot environment!
