Decapolis Hotel Panama City

I rarely write a bad review but I would not suggest this hotel. Right from check in it was poor as the 6 people all hanging around reception - doing very little except talking to each other could not find my booking and I had to wait more than 20 minutes for them to do so. The rooms are big and pretty quiet - even though there were so many people there for a conference. Breakfast was chaotic - hardly a seat to find - toaster wasn't working and the choices were limited - scrambled eggs only and the coffee wasn't great. Eventually I ate my own cereal in my room and didn't bother with the breakfast. Thee pool - small but nice and good atmosphere. The gym was the worst I am afraid - hot and the workman upgrading the sauna/ changing rooms constantly shouting to each other or on their phones - very little work being done. There were no small towels on the last day I stayed - surely one of the many reception staff could check this each morning. Finally I lost a small bag somewhere in the hotel - I reported it and asked about it on checkout with very little response. I have never stayed at a hotel where staff care so little about the guests. There are many other hotels - suggest to avoid this one until they improve their customer relations. The mall opposite is ok but so many empty shops it feels like it's already lost local interest.

Stayed here with my husband and baby for 5 nights. Everything was perfect- the customer service, cleanliness, quiet area and an amazing view from the 25th floor ! They provided bottled water everyday in our room with maid service which was very thoughtful. Even when the buffet is packed at around the 9am mark, the staff still managed to keep things calm and paid attention to us. Will definitely choose to stay here again

Terrible experience. The staff was cold and completely lacking empathy from the beginning. I was given a very dirty and poorly maintained room with stained curtains, damaged furniture, and a shared-door setup that was absolutely not soundproof — I could clearly hear music and conversations from the next room as if they were inside mine. When I asked for another room, I was told all rooms were like that and that nothing else was available, yet I later saw other room options online. The response from the front desk was basically that I could just leave the hotel. I ended up leaving the same night. I would not recommend this place in a million years. The hotel next door gave a dramatically better experience in every possible way.

This older hotel offers exceptional value for its price and prime location. With affordable Uber rides, exploring the city is both convenient and budget-friendly. The rates are very reasonable, and the rooms boast a fantastic city view at a great price. A nearby mall makes shopping for essentials a breeze.
