Oxford University graduate, Scarlett was a wonderful guide for our tour of four friends. We loved learning so much more than we expected, had lots of opportunity to ask questions. To see Oxford through her eyes, experiences, and study was above average interesting. And, we enjoyed her personally … a delightful communicator!! This tour packs in a lot for 90 minutes and the price is great. We highly recommend it.
The guid AJ was excellent and made the tour very enjoyable! He was very knowledgeable and friendly and I would recommend this tour of colleges and kings hall entrance to people
Small group, personal, very friendly & warm, Tejas, our guide, loved his university and Oxford and this came across is his tour.
Very knowledgeable guide AG.
Fabulous tour of Oxford university, its history and traditions. Our guide, Kai, was very knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into the life of the Oxford scholers.
Very Good Experience. The guide who came with us spoke so well and explained everything patiently.Thank you for an unforgettable experience
We had a truly lovely experience on this tour. Our guide, Isabel, was warm, engaging, and knowledgeable. She shared fascinating stories and insights that brought the history and atmosphere of Oxford to life. The pace was relaxed and the group was small.
Franca was awesome, very knowledgeable and super nice. Interesting facts and history, a must do if you pop in to visit Oxford.
Kudos to Alec for an exceptional walking tour through Oxford University. We felt we saw a lot and we certainly learned a lot. Alec was very informative and very personable. We appreciated hearing about the history and the various, and often amusing anecdotes. Alec knew his stuff. Highly recommend the private tour.
We had a private family tour of Oxford last Wednesday with Alec, and it was a fantastic experience. Alec was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, guiding us through the city with clear insights and fascinating stories. He made the history and architecture come alive in a very engaging way. Everything was well-paced and thoughtfully planned. Highly recommend this tour — Alec was an outstanding guide!
This was such a perfect way to get oriented to & immersed in the history and culture of Oxford University during our one day there as part of an extended England visit. Our tour guide Savannah was super pleasant, knowledgeable, cheerful, and patient with our many questions. A real delight. I was a little nervous about the last minute unavailability of Christ Church College for our originally expected time for the self-guided portion of the tour; however, the tour company (Oxford Alumni Tours) was good about arranging for a later time which worked fine with our schedule (if it hadn’t they offered a partial refund). We (2 couples) were very happy with the experience.
Rory provided invaluable suggestions and guidance into Oxford for a prospective student. Highly recommend asking for Rory when you book this tour.
Vira was my tour guide and was absolutely lovely and so knowledgable about the city. She gave great recommendations for further exploration of the city and food. Thanks so much! :)
Guide was very friendly and comprehensive in her explanations! She was very concise and we feel that we could ask her anything without worry!
Rose is our tour guide and she is very sweet and professional. Enjoyed our trip thoroughly and learnt much about the university and the city
Exiting tour with a very nice guide Rose. We Saw and learned a lot, amd Rose had a lot of knowledhe about the Campus Living and student live
We loved everything about this tour. Our tour guide Alec was so knowledgeable and he pointed out things we never would have even known to look for. We learned so much and he had us laughing while learning ( even my 13 year old!) It was the perfect day.
We had a fantastic time, thoroughly enjoying our tour of the Oxford Campus. Our guide was Merton College PhD candidate & absolutely made the tour the success that it was, due to her personal insights around the University, her bubbly personality and ability to tell stories. Throughout our 2-1/2hr tour, she kept a good pace, was conscientious in allowing for interactive questions, while also making sure that we covered the considerable amount of walking that was necessary to see everything. We also took the optional Christ Church entry which is a must for a more detailed view of the largest college in Oxford. Top marks to our student tour guide and to the program that hired her.
Alex was a great guide on an especially interesting tour. Loads of interesting stories and little known facts.
Awesome tour! Reece was the best!! We loved seeing the impressive architecture, and Reece’s commentary throughout the tour added rich context to each building.
Purchased a private walking tour of Oxford and was sent an e-ticket which made no mention of where to meet. No confirmation email, no receipt. Had to find the phone number on Google, which led to a recorded message regarding the meeting place. Arrived at the appointed address with my party, to find noone there to meet us. Ruined our day, and now will have to waste time pursuing these guys to get my money back. Do not use this company...
This was our first time in Oxford and Alec was absolutely brilliant! He was knowledgeable about everything, had tidbits of information for all our questions, and was super friendly. He made us laugh, and because we were a small group, he even went above and beyond and took us on some great little back streets as well. We were totally thrilled with this tour and may even do it again when we come back to the UK.
Alec was a font of knowledge about Oxford and the colleges. He was amiable, especially knowing we were from the American Northwest. Thanks, Alec!
Really great tour, led by Alec, a very kind and bright student who really knows a lot about the Oxford colleges and their history.
The Alumni - student Prashita in this case was knowledgable, fun and upbeat. She made the tour enjoyable with little tidbits of stories.
Fell in love with Oxford thanks to the journey that Alice took us through. The mix of knowledge, storytelling, and personal alumni experience is what made this an unforgettable experience especially for my mom who had never been to Oxford before. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is planning a visit to Oxford.
Josie was fantastic! Our daughter dreams of attending Oxford University, and the information Josie gave about the university, the town, and the her own student experience made our daughter even more motivated to aim for her goal. Bonus points to Josie for waiting for us a few minutes longer after we were running a bit late. Great tour!
Iona was great! She took us all over Oxford and recommended places to visit. The tour lasted the right amount of time.
We decided to book the tour last minute and by the end of the day were really thankfull that we did. Our guide Archie told us not only all the fun stuff but also had quite a nice conversation with us about his own experience as a student etc. Absolutely amazing!
Seb gave us the best tour ever! Best regards from DK 😀 We just arrived in Oxford and were introduced to all the most interesting spots of Oxford.
Archie was excellent on our tour for a group of school children. He was interesting, engaging and incorporated just the right touch of humour. Would definitely recommend the tour.
Enjoyed the tour, very informative HOWEVER we both thought that any personal views about removing or turning around Cecil Rhodes statue should not be expressed. We personally disagree and think you can't change history nor should we attempt to in anyway. Learning from history is a different story!
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. My guide Jim was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. I was fascinated by the history of the city and University and liked learning about the historic figures and their contributions to the University development and buildings. Jim also told me about films and buildings used for Harry Potter and Marvel films plus Morse and other TV settings. This was exactly what I wanted so I was doubly pleased.
It was a cold day and we were freezing! But Archie braved the cold with us even with a jacket I thought was way too light for the weather. Very informative private tour for just me and my husband and we could clearly see that Archie was very enthusiastic and passionate about the stories and history behind all of the architecture and colleges that he pointed out to us. Well worth the money and we're glad that we took this tour, especially since we were only in Oxford for a few hours and wanted to make sure that we got the most out of the trip that we could.
Despite the cold weather we had a 2 hour walk with anecdotes from our guide who was an alumni. We followed his suggestions after the walk.
We had a very entertaining 2-hour tour with Jenny, a 4th-semester student, with lots of insider knowledge about the university and insights into the sometimes cruel history of this college town. Thank you! Top.
Our guide explained lots of important facts to us while punctuating these facts with fun anecdotes! Our pounting driver was super qualified!
