Tobias was very informative and very polite. Although new to the guide world, he was extremely knowledgeable. He is an ideal guide for Oxford!

Great tour. Guide (Tobias) was interesting and informative. Highly recommend
Really interesting and enjoyable guided walking tour of Oxford. Tobias, our guide, was excellent, with a humorous, quirky, fact-filled commentary around the tour.
Tobias was AMAZING. Polite, well spoken and accommodating of us being slower walkers. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and brought the stories to life with some genuine humour. The £20 fee was well worth every penny and the 1.5 hour tour started promptly. There were 8 in our party with 2 others on the tour. Thank you Tobias for making our visit to Oxford a memorable one. Thoroughly recommend this tour, especially with Tobias, for some unusual and interesting facts. Suits anyone with a sense of humour who still wants some historical facts.
Great insights into Oxford and loads of interesting stories. Good value for money and just the right length of time. Friendly and relaxed tour guide, really enjoyed ourselves.
My group of six friends booked the Odd Oxford tour and had Tobias as our guide. We thought he was fantastic! He was quite knowledgeable about the history of Oxford and was pleased to answer our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Joel took us on a tour of Oxford. Fun alternative way to learn about the history of Oxford and he taught us a lot even though we were both locals! Would definitely recommend it!
My daughters and I were not sure what to expect from this tour. We hoped to learn about the city of Oxford, but we didn't know any specifics. Like, nobody we know went to school there or anything. But we are (American) fans of British history. Our guide, Joel, was actually an historian, not only from Oxford but also a graduate of Oxford, which gave him a perspective that most people probably don't have--because, as we learned, there is a very long history of a "town and gown" rivalry, meaning the residents vs. the students. We somehow lucked out and were the only people booked on that tour, and we enjoyed that, because we could ask all kinds of questions that might have been boring or silly to others. Joel took it all in stride and was actually able to answer our questions about the most inane things! The tour was quite long, actually. It was supposed to be an hour and a half, I think? But it was more like two. I don't know if it's always that way, but we certainly felt like we were well-treated. I can't say if the fee was reasonable or not, as this was someone else's treat.
Joel was great, really knew his stuff and made the tour very interesting. Thank you!
She was really lovely and gave lots of details and facts. Definitely learnt a lot from her.
lizzy was a great tour guide, very friendly and interesting!
Our guide was Lizzie. We we're super lucky that nobody else booked so we had a private tour. Lizzie was so informative and lots of fun, she really made the tour interesting. We learnt lots about Oxford's past. Thanks Lizzie and good luck with your studies!
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Lizzie even though there was only 2 of us she made the city come to life . Highly recommend
Terribly entertaining - as an Oxford resident I thought I had a pretty good knowledge of our city but i learnt so much. Lots of fun facts and stories, not just the regular C.S.Lewis Narnia door.
Brilliant tour - even as local residents, who’ve lived in Oxford for the past few years, my partner and I discovered so much about the city we love. The tour guide had a great sense of humour and was engaging and open to questions. Many thanks!
Absolutely brilliant. Tour guide full of knowledge and made the whole tour really interesting.
An excellent and fun tour. Lots of interesting facts and history. Josh, Our guide, was brilliant.
We booked Terrible Tours Oxford after seeing a Facebook advert claiming, "Say no to boring tours this tour is different. See the darker side of Oxford. Be entertained." Having visited Oxford several times and taken a number of different walking tours, we thought this would offer something genuinely unique. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite of what was advertised. Despite the marketing, the tour was no different from the many standard Oxford walking tours we have already done granted they was a few years ago but still. It covered much of the same history and locations that we already new about, with very little that felt original or different. We found it extremely boring from start to finish. We have done many tours around UK and world and this is really bad. The route itself also made little sense. At one point we walked a considerable distance only to double back and use a pelican crossing before walking back down the opposite side of the same road. It felt unnecessarily inefficient and gave the impression that time was simply being filled rather than used to enhance the tour. The guide was polite very welcoming and clearly tried his best, but he was not a former Oxford student and, in our opinion, lacked the deeper knowledge about how the University operates. Overall, this was the most disappointing walking tour we have taken in Oxford. The advertising promised a unique, entertaining experience, but we did not feel it delivered on those promises. Would I recommend it? Absolutely not. Is it worth doing? In my opinion 100% a NO if you are expecting something different Is it suitable for families? I wouldn't recommend it. My wife I were bored throughout, despite being people who genuinely enjoy visiting Oxford. I think many children would lose interest very quickly. This tour simply did not live up to the expectations created by its advertising, and I left feeling disappointed and misled. the only thing that was true about this tour is that it was Absolutely TERRIBLE! really sorry but it was. "I've attached a photo of the review card we were given at the end of the tour to confirm that we attended."
