Gin Distillery Experience With Sky Wave Gin

We had a lovely time with Helen who answered all of our questions and made it feel nice and conversational. The tasting was superb and on that alone represented great value for money.

A really enjoyable, informative experience at this artisan distillery based on the beautiful site at Bicester Motion. Helen, our guide, was so welcoming with a wonderful G&T to kick off proceedings, zero alcohol for the designated driver but a very nice drink nonetheless. The distillery tour was so informative and the tasting afterwards so illuminating. We had a really lovely afternoon and tasted some exceptional gin. Hats off to Helen for making the experience so lovely. Highly recommended.

We had a great afternoon at the Sky Wave bar and distillery. Helen was a great host, very knowledgeable and very passionalte about the business. The Gin Bar is really beautifully done and I would highly recommend this experience for gin lovers everywhere!

My husband and I had been gifted the vouchers. This was a really fun experience for a group of 10 people, with just the right balance of fun and scientific information. For the price you get a lovely glass on arrival, then after the brilliant little distillery tour you get to sample 3 more. Our guide, Helen, was friendly and knowledgeable and there is a nice discount ready for Christmas presents! We would 100% recommend.

A wonderful experience from start to finish. The setting at Bicester Heritage is beautiful, and the Sky Wave bar itself is cosy and inviting, with a lovely outdoor seating area too. The tour was brilliant — learning about gin while tasting some along the way… what’s not to love? It was made even better by our guide, Helen, whose warmth, friendliness, enthusiasm and knowledge were exceptional. She really brought the whole experience to life. Helen definitely deserves a raise! 😉 All four of us thoroughly enjoyed it and would absolutely recommend.

I was gifted this experience by my brother who joined me on Sunday. As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Helen who was our host for the session. My brother was kindly driving so was given a lovely non alcoholic gin & drivers pack to take away afterwards. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish & the gin was amazing! I took my dad for a Fathers Day treat, and we absolutely loved it! 🥰 It was only my dad and I and another family of 3 which felt like a really nice small group. Definitely worth the cost and given the fact the lady took into consideration that I was driving, she gave me a drivers pack. Getting home to find a small bottle of my favourite gin was in the bag 😍! I would recommend this experience very highly and would definitely love to go back! I wasn’t a gin drinker at first but getting to know the back story of how the gins made and where the name ‘Sky Wave Gin’ came from was so interesting and great!

What a excellent experience, I was the only person on this tour but Helen was not put off. It was very interesting finding out this distillery's journey to success. The gins were very distinctive and full of beautiful flavours. Very much worth a visit.

Great tour, lovely guide who clearly loves the company they are working for. Its a compact but lovely site, an old air base full of character, and the 'experience' was well set out and provided real insight. Thoroughly recommend to any gin lovers.

We had a wonderful visit on Saturday made all the more enjoyable by Helen, our host's enthusiasm. Compared with other distilleries and breweries we have visited, the premises are tiny but the gin is tremendous. I would absolutely recommend a visit to anyone who appreciates a great craft gin or vodka for that matter.

It was a gift for my friends birthday and we had a blast! Helena was so lovely and friendly and was super knowledgeable- we learnt a lot! it was also super cool for Andy and Rachel to pop in and say Hi!! Very cool experience for people to go too - the gin is good too!

We had a fantastic time at the Sky Wave Gin tour and tasting. Helen was an excellent host—friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about the distilling process. It was fascinating to see behind the scenes and, of course, to sample the delicious range of gins on offer. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we met some really lovely people. Even when the rain set in, we happily stayed on, enjoying the covered outdoor area with pie, mash and liquor, accompanied by a talented live singer—such a great touch to end the afternoon. With a couple of purchases from Sky wave to take home also! Overall, a brilliant experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back for cocktails and would highly recommend it to any gin lover. Cheers! 🍸

Fantastic afternoon led by the wonderful Helen. Her presentation was excellent- she is warm and humorous, and is very knowledgeable. The afternoon is split broadly into 3 sections with an introduction of how Sky Wave evolved - an amazing back story. We then had time in the distillery with Helen explaining how production happened and finally a great tasting session. For those who were driving, there was a gift of a presentation box of miniatures to try at home - a lovely touch. A highly recommended afternoon.

The tour takes you on a fascinating journey through Sky Wave’s story — from their early beginnings to becoming an award‑winning gin company — and you really get a sense of the passion and craft behind every bottle. The staff were outstanding throughout. Knowledgeable, accommodating, and genuinely friendly, they made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. Their enthusiasm for what they do is infectious, and it added so much to the tour. If you’re a gin lover or simply curious about the craft behind a truly exceptional brand, I’d highly recommend a visit. Sky Wave have created something special, and it shows in the every detail.

A very relaxed and informative 75 minutes experience. Helen was a wonderful host, encouraging questions and welcoming us with a G&T. The experience included background info of how Sky Wave started, tasting gins and aromatics along with a tour of the distillery. There were 8 people in our session. We got a taxi to enjoy the gins but Sky Wave also offer a driver package as an alternative. I would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful Valentines Day activity. I know Sky Wave, having been there a few times for the summer evenings (very good), what I wasn't aware of was the range and quality of Gin and Vodka. The tour was great (thank you Helen) allowing us time to see and understand the processes involved, then the tasting was simply brilliant. We came away with a few bottles, but I can see us going back for more soon!

This was a birthday gift and did not disappoint! We were welcomed by the very enthusiast Helen, who set everyone up with a gin and tonic before beginning the experience. A quick intro to the history of this small distillery was followed by a tour of the actual distilling room, history of the stills and then finished off with a taste of 3 further gins and also botanicals. It was interesting and interactive and Helen was exceptional. She is obviously passionate about the company as well as the gin which made for a superb experience. Drivers were provided with a takeaway bag so they didn’t miss out.

Great experience from start to finish and Helen was a fab host! A lovely little afternoon doing the gin tasting and seeing the distillery. Always loved gin but not tonic - I have now been converted and love both! Tried various different gins and saw how they are all made and the process of doing so - including flavoured gins! The grounds that the gin tasting her held on are lovely and the sky wave shop and bar itself are also gorgeous and done up so nicely - felt very cosy! We lucked in and had a private session as no one else had booked our time slot, Helen was so friendly the session was not at all awkward and there was still a great atmosphere with just the 3 of us - even a little bit of background music to which was a nice touch! Booked through virgin as we had it as a gift but would definitely go again and book directly with Sky Wave next time! Option to buy gin at the end if you wanted to but there was also no pressure at all to do so - we did of course buy some as love to support small businesses and also because they were some of the nicest gins we have had. Thank you Helen for such a great time!

We were gifted tickets for the gin experience at Skywave and we’re so glad we made the trip from London, we had a wonderful afternoon! The distillery is in a really interesting location. It was great to see Bicester Motion and learn some of its history. Inside Skywave we loved seeing where the gin was made and the tasting area is lovely, we could have sat there all day! A big shout out for Helen. She lead our experience and was so lovely, welcoming and knowledgeable. She really made the afternoon special, thank you! And I can’t forget to mention the gin, it was out of this world…! We loved trying the different varieties and now have a very well stocked up drinks cabinet at home. Would absolutely recommend visiting Skywave.
