Close to Swindon & just off the A420, the hotel is easy to reach. We had a ground floor room, and there is a lift. The room was cosy clean and quiet. We dined in the restaurant, and the food was great. Lovely breakfast too. Definitely recommended

Beautiful old building and grounds. Rooms very badly ventilated, with no fan or window in the bathroom, cannot open windows fully, no aircon and no fridge in room. Great big bed but was two beds pushed together so a big gap in the middle? Service was very strange, felt rushed at times and bar very badly stocked. Was served port in a tumbler ?? Asked for a cappuccino at the bar and was told I could have a tea?? Asked for more water for the room and was handed two bottles which felt like they had come out of the oven. Has a lot of potential but missing the little touches that could make a big difference. One lady on reception was very helpful and did everything she could to make our stay pleasant.
We enjoyed parts of our visit, particularly the service from the young member of staff who welcomed us. She was friendly, polite and seemed to be doing a great job. Unfortunately, what really spoiled the experience was seeing the manager repeatedly shout at staff in front of customers. On one occasion, a young employee was being shouted at and abused being called stupid, loudly over something as minor as napkins. It was uncomfortable to witness and created a very unpleasant atmosphere. Staff should be treated with respect, especially in front of guests. As a customer, watching staff being publicly humiliated made us feel uncomfortable and is not somewhere we’d choose to return to.
Stayed here for a night and I have to say that the reviews stating that the rooms were not clean had me a little worried, however our room was spotless as were the corridors and common areas. The 'False' smell one person describes is in fact the smell of new carpets having been laid in the corridors so notuch they can do about that. The water pressure is a little low but perfectly okay for a shower provided you aren't in a hurry. Overall I was happy with the accomodation and it was nice and close to several nice eateries. I would definitely stay there again.
We had a fantastic stay here and can honestly say it’s one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed at in the UK. The hotel is modern, spotless, and very family friendly, with a lovely courtyard area that creates a really relaxing atmosphere. We travelled with our 3-year-old daughter and the staff were incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. They kindly allowed us to store her food in the fridge and helped heat it up when needed, which made a huge difference for us as parents. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and kept at the perfect temperature. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of tasty options, and the hotel also has ample parking which made everything very convenient. Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service — we would happily return and highly recommend it to families.
