First the positives Good price, great location, pleasant room larger than we expected, nice fluffy towels and a fan provided, together with water , branded biscuits, tea, coffee etc. the bed was comfortable and the bed linen spotless. The room had been modernised with USB bedside sockets and dimmable lights. Pleasant staff and decent breakfast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and fulll English plus croissants, toast, cooled lemon and mint water, fruit juices , all served in a light and airy dining room. Our only criticisms are :the shower cubicle, whilst clean, could do with a deep steam or bleach along the door bottom and the corner grouting (not really a big deal) The outside front of the hotel needs TLC, tatty plastic plants in tatty wall baskets and dog ends all over the floor, a few geraniums in this weather would look so much more appealing and it would be no cost to tidy it up. If there are to be noplants in the wall baskets, then remove them ! We would stay here again and those who want 4 star hotels for this price need to look at their budget options !

Booked this hotel because the website, the photos and the description of this hotel lead you to believe it is a four star hotel. The sign outside says it’s a four star hotel. The photos are extremely misleading! Not one of the photos are a true reflection of what it actually looks like! Disappointedly in our opinion it is no more that a two star. It is just about in keeping with a travel lodge. Very basic, tired, tatty rooms, clearly needs investment both in and outside. No where near the expectation for the amount we paid! The only credit we can offer is the clean bedding and towels. The stains on the carpets and the one of the throws on the bed were not good! It is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel and I’ve stayed in far better bed and breakfasts!
My parents and I had a great stay here in remont hotel. It’s pretty hard to find nice accommodation for 3 adults with air conditioning (during heatwave) in Oxford but this place was available last minute and it was amazing. Free breakfast was very convenient and good, location is good as well (you will have to bus to get to central Oxford but there’s multiple buses u can take). Service and rooms were 10/10.
The Remont Oxford Hotel is an unassuming yet very comfortable hotel not far from Oxford's centre and university district, yet outside its fee-charging congestion zones. Rooms are tidy and very comfortable, off-street parking is available and free, and the breakfast is exceptional. Mahi, who greeted us upon check-in and at breakfast, was welcoming, helpful and very professional. My wife and I could easily walk to nearby supermarkets, and to the historic university grounds themselves. Our overnight stay at the Remont was very rewarding.
Tucked a little away from the everyday rush, Hotel Remont feels like a pause button in building form. Not isolated, just pleasantly removed from the noise. A manned reception is a genuine plus. There is reassurance in seeing a real person at the desk rather than a keypad and a laminated instruction sheet. Mahi was especially helpful, taking the time to explain the dos and don’ts with clarity and warmth. The room itself was in good condition. Clean, tidy, well maintained. Everything worked as it should. Drinking water was thoughtfully provided, which is always appreciated after a night out. It is slightly on the pricier side compared to other B&Bs in the area, so value-conscious travellers may notice the difference. Breakfast was good, fresh and satisfying. No complaints there.
