Holiday Inn Oxford By Ihg

Booked the premium super king room and requested a new one as we are celebrating anniversary in Oxford but was given an old room. Rusty bathtub drainage, broken fan, Dusted door stopper for over £100 per night. Same quality as a £60-80 per night premier inn. The customer service said it’s executive room in the new wing (this room type is not shown on their website/ or on booking website at all) while the receptionist said it’s premier king there (but I booked a premier super king?). Customer service said “up to you” there’s a surcharge if I want to “upgrade”. What a joke. The building looks like a hospital. They don’t provide toothpaste toothbrush in the bathrooms unless you go ask them at the reception. Their Standard is really low. First time with holiday inn and will not stay with them anymore. The only pro is that the park and ride is 5 mins walk away and offering £8 per day parking on site at the hotel.

Excellent service and genuinely accommodating staff We booked through a third party and there was an issue with the booking when we arrived. Lilly on reception was fantastic, she handled the situation quickly, calmly and professionally and went out of her way to get everything sorted for us. She was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and made what could have been a stressful arrival feel easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service really stood out. A big thank you to Lilly and the team for looking after us so well. We’d happily stay again.

Absolutely fantastic visit to the Holiday Inn! A huge thank you to Charlotte, Sue and all the staff for their incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so kind, welcoming and polite, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel was beautifully clean and well looked after, and the staff genuinely went above and beyond to make our experience so special. We were celebrating a 21st birthday and hosted our rodeo bull as part of the celebrations! 🐂🎉 The team handled everything with such professionalism, patience and good humour, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for better service. A massive thank you to everyone at the Holiday Inn for making the occasion so memorable. Your kindness and hospitality really did make a difference and we are incredibly grateful. We stayed here for one night and it was perfect. Akash on reception welcomed us and was very professional and friendly. He went above and beyond with accommodating us In a beautiful room. Breakfast was excellent hot cooked beautifully and even we came down later for breakfast the food was just cooked so well done there. Sue at breakfast was a star getting boiled eggs for my wife having friendly and professional contact with all the guests at breakfast a lovely lady. We will use this hotel again when coming to Oxford as it is located perfectly great price and great food. All you need in a quick break away and not breaking the bank. We normally do spend more but now we realise with this experience you do not have to.
