Travelling north Spain, this hotel left the least pleasant experience due to total lack of hospitality at the reception, old premises and paid extras. Checkin/checkout process is a shame. Gym and spa only for a fee and not available after 21:00. Dirty windows, terrible smell due to chemical industry nearby.
Probably once a decent four star. Now good staff but woefully underspent on maintenance and upkeep and basic features. Doesn't warrant a four star rating any more.
The best feature of this hotel is obviously the spa and the spa treatments (not always included in Booking.com) The signs of time, lack of maintenance and care and above all humidity can be seen and smelled in the rooms. It situated in a very quiet residential area that is far away from everything else. The staff is kind and helpful, especially the cleaning staff and the employees at the spa center.
Nice Spa. A little outdated and in need of some maintenance. It's nice but could be nicer with some love. Had the Spa + brunch, definitely the brunch was the winner, the waiters were super nice and made the experience really enjoyable.
We visited as a couple for the spa + brunch deal. The location is great and the hotel itself gives off a genuinely luxurious vibe at first glance. Unfortunately, the spa area doesn’t live up to that standard. It feels noticeably under-maintained. There was visible humidity damage on the walls, some cracked tiles, and parts of the mosaic tiling were missing, even inside the sauna areas. In the showers and locker rooms, some handles to turn on the water were missing, which just adds to the impression that upkeep is being overlooked. Calling this a “spa hotel” feels like a stretch in its current condition, as that area clearly needs significant attention and refurbishment. On the positive side, the brunch was excellent. The service was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout, and the food quality was genuinely very good. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and enjoyable. Overall, a mixed experience: great brunch and service, but the spa facilities seriously let it down.
