The hotel is located within the Finca de la Magdelena country estate in the highest point of Soto del Barco boasting stunning views and a unique, peaceful setting. The hotel itself is a palatial building that dates back to the 18th century and was home to a number of Spanish noble figures. It provides guests with the ideal place to relax in. There is a fantastic spa with a thermal circuit and a variety of treatments to relax and soothe. The large pavilion building offers 10 large banquet and conference rooms for up to 3000 people. These rooms have big windows and views of the town or the river. At the Magdalena's restaurant you can sample fusion cuisine. There is also a cafe and bar service.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property. The staff were extremely attentive and very helpful the facilities were in wonderful condition, beautifully appointed rooms, a very tasty breakfast and the views around the hotel are stunning. We traveled with our 2-year old and she loved the playground

What a beautiful property with incredible views of the Castle of San Martin and the surrounding town. The room was clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom is huge with all the modern conveniences. We missed breakfast, but I am sure the food is as good as the property. It feels as if you are stepping back in time. Highly recommended.

Outstanding evening on our Camino!! We checked in easily, took a beautiful nap on the most comfortable bed!! We loved the spa!!! Highly recommend it for pilgrims. I would suggest warmer water in the hot tub and warmer air in the steam bath. Dinner was outstanding!!! Breakfast was hearty and delicious’

The building is really nice, in fact a palace. The carpets were a bit old, but it did not affect the charm of the hotel. The views were absolutely fantastic and it was very close to the airport. The restaurant was excellent and absolutely worth trying. The only minus point was for the breakfast. It was a real letdown made with little love and attention for people who enjoy breakfast. Spa was good and the service was super flexible and helpful.
