An Absolutely Beautiful Experience at La Mirage Garden Hotel & Spa Our stay at La Mirage Garden Hotel & Spa was truly exceptional. This was our first time visiting Cotacachi, and as Americans who are temporarily living here in Ecuador, we were excited to experience a new part of the country. La Mirage made our first visit unforgettable. From the very beginning, Clemencia was wonderful. She helped plan our stay and made sure everything was taken care of. The customer service throughout our visit was truly outstanding. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, professional, and welcoming. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, which made the experience feel even more special. The grounds are absolutely beautiful—lush, peaceful, private, and incredibly tranquil. The clean mountain air, beautiful gardens, and quiet surroundings made it easy to completely relax and disconnect. We stayed in the Anniversary Suite, and it was perfect. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was quiet and private, and the nightly turn-down service was such a thoughtful touch. We also enjoyed wonderful spa treatments, and the food was simply delicious. Every meal was flavorful and beautifully prepared. What stood out most to us was the genuine hospitality. From Wednesday through Friday, we felt cared for in every detail. La Mirage gave us a beautiful, peaceful, and memorable experience, and our first visit to Cotacachi could not have been better. We would absolutely return to La Mirage and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special experience in Ecuador.

Advertise as a Luxury destination but you can even sit or use the common areas as they in are extremely but shape or covered with dust and bird disposal. The restaurant prices are overpriced compared to the quality of the food. The hotel has potencial but it’s not well maintained despite the high prices they charged.

The service and the food was over the top. If you want a really good meal, really great service and a great atmosphere. This is the place you need to go. This chef should be working at one of the finest restaurants in New York he put out some of the best food I've had in Ecuador.

This is easily one of the ugliest, corniest, and lowest-quality hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I paid $240 for one night, and the room was a huge disappointment. While the decor was kitschy and in extremely bad taste, the real issue was the substandard quality of everything in the room. The curtains, sofa, bedding (all the fabrics were plastic or polyester as evident in the pictures), floor tiles, and wooden fixtures all felt incredibly cheap and unpleasant, especially given the price. The only positives about the hotel were the service and the gardens (I didn’t eat there, so I can’t comment on the food). I’m genuinely surprised by the number of positive reviews this hotel has received. I’m not sure if people are being overly generous or if their standards are simply different from mine. However, when I shared my disappointing experience with others who were familiar with the hotel, they all agreed with my assessment. Clearly, I’m not alone in finding this place underwhelming. If you’re considering staying here, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of better options nearby that are objectively superior in every way and more affordable. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a different hotel.
