We will have a lot of fun together as a group, learning basics for cross country skiing and exploring the nature and the winter. The experience is adapted for the beginners that have little or no skiing experience. The main goal is to have fun, be social and to learn something fun and Norwegian.
Excellent beginners skiing experience. Håvard is a lovely tour guide - extremely welcoming and friendly. This is a great experience to do as a solo traveller as Håvard encouraged a good social feeling with the group so you never felt left on your own. Had a fantastic time learning the basics of cross country skiing and I’d definitely recommend it to others.
Was lucky to get some snow in mid march. Tour is oriented on really newbies and lack some more action for more advanced cross country skiers
This was so so good! Around three and a half hours of learning (and snacks), perfect English and very willing and cheery to learn other languages too! Around 80 pounds per person in Feb 2026, and a group no bigger than 17, so very personalised! There were people of all ages, and he caters to any sizes with a large range of shoe and skis available :). Best hot chocolate we have had here!
It has been a brilliant day out. Håvard was extremely welcoming. The communication before the event was very good. The equipment was spot on. It was a fun packed day, and it felt like being with close friends. Håvard made it the day it was, I would highly recommend him
Absolutely, thrilling experience I had learning the basic concepts of skiing and being able to apply them in real time. I will definitely be back for next winter
The instructor was brilliant, attentive and highly skilled. His step by step instructions made skiing easy and we picked it up so fast. His perfect English made the lesson very enjoyable. The best skiing experience Norway has to offer. We experienced Norwegian traditions and culture, with a quick lunch.
Awesome experience, especially if you want to get outdoors and see the Norwegian country side. Håvard is a very experienced ski instructor and was able to accommodate everyone in the group, as we were at different levels. Will highly recommend.!
Having never skied before, my friend and I signed up for this 3 hr introduction from an advert on Facebook and were not sure what was going to happen; however, we were delighted by the whole experience. Håvard was an excellent teacher- he taught clearly, methodically, and patiently with a lovely kind manner. The ski arena in Skullerud was perfect for beginners (it has snow machines so there's always snow in the winter), all the ski equipment was provided (NB not clothes) and was of great quality. We had a lovely group of ten people from all around the world and it was a really fun atmosphere. I was surprised how quickly I took to it and my friend and I agreed that it was the highlight of our week/her visit. Hot choclate and snacks at the end were perfect. We were also super lucky with the sunny weather. The whole experience was great value for money. I'm planning on bringing some work colleagues back. Peter W. Feb 17th 2024

Håvard was fantastic. He is an excellent teacher for beginners and advanced. This was my first time skiing, and he took the time to explain everything step-by-step. Always smiling and willing to give you tips to improve. He brought us traditional snacks from Norway and hot cocoa. Special mention deserves his mom who came to help with the photographs. Such a sweet lady. The group started as four strangers, we ended up as friends :)
It's really an unforgettable experience for us! It is the first time we doing this. Beautiful view, nice host, and great partner. Harvard has many equipment prepared and has many experience. All the way of cross country ski, he took care of us very patient and carefully. Highly recommend for the others who want to have this kind of experience. Really great.!!!

BOOK THIS!! Håvard is a great teacher and provides all the necessary equipment. Learning to cross country ski was so incredibly fun and challenging in a good way. This was a great value, and I would redo this experience over and over if I could.
This was the highlight of a great trip to Oslo for my partner and I. It is a great way to experience the real Norwegian countryside whilst on a city break. We had no prior experience cross country skiing, or skiing in general, however Håvard’s tutorials allowed us to pick up the basics very quickly. In Håvard you’ll find an instant friend, his knowledge of the area and rich stories make for interesting conversations and his care for each member of the trip was amazing. We cannot recommend this experience more highly and we’d like to thank Håvard for making the trip unforgettable!
Highly recommended experience! Havard is a great teacher - he gave good explanation, teaching step by step and encouraging everyone. and he is super friendly and good fun. the location is wonderful too. We all (2 teens, my husband and me) were very inexperienced and progressed so much. We all loved it. Thanks Havard 👍

This was an incredible experience for me! It was the realization of a childhood dream. I am from Brazil; As everyone should know, there is no such thing as snow! ⛄️ Havard Skultasd, he was a kind and patient instructor with me! As I had never even touched a ski, it was obvious that I had great difficulty remaining upright using the ski! However, with the help of Havard, I even managed to “ski” a little! I had a lot of fun! Havard certainly helped me have an unforgettable experience!
