Taras was a good guide, a very sweet person and was happy to answer all my questions about history with ease.

I really enjoyed the walking tour of Oslo. My guide was very knowledgeable, professional and super friendly. Not only she showed me the most interesting places in Oslo ( many of which I would not have ever found on my own), but also shared her knowledge of history, culture and mentality of Norwegian people. This was more than just seeing the places - it was an incredible insight into the past and present of the country. I highly recommend this tour to everyone who visits Oslo.
Received message that the tour was cancelled. It was sent 1.5 hrs before the tour, but I did not receive it until I arrived at the meetup spot. Had they informed me earlier, I could’ve booked an alternative for that same day. Disappointed, as I was looking forward to a city overview to begin my exploration of this beautiful city.
Terrible experience and communication when we complained. The guide was pleasant but ultimately lacked language skills and knowledge. He was Ukrainian and his English language skills were limited and struggled to communicate information and when we asked questions gave random answers. Usually about Ukrainian or transport around the city. He was confused and unorganised and the information he provided appears to have been developed by basic Internet searches. We requested a refund or return of some of the £58 we paid but response has been slow and only said thank you for your feedback. We would never usually or never have left feedback like this and would not have if we had received a more positive response. Would suggest using another company as we have seen some very well organised tours around the city.
Spencer truly gave an overview of Oslo. He was very knowledgeable answered all of our questions. We truly got the vibes of the city.
Our guide Spence was excellent; knowledgeable, easy going adaptable and just nice to stroll around Oslo with. He ticked off the big ticket items, gave us a good oversight and then the level and depth of information was basically at our discretion, he was quite happy to cover a wide range of general Norwegian topics. He provided some follow up advice about restaurants which we really appreciated. It was just a great way to get a feel for Oslo on day one.
Firstly, the company was very accomodating in moving our tour back 24 hours as our train was delayed and we were very thankful. On the day the weather was very rainy and our guide pulled out with a personal issue and we were told to be replaced - which was fine. Our new guide was a very nice guy who moved to Oslo from the Ukraine 3 years ago - we enjoyed his company but this was an English speaking tour and English for him was a challenge - we struggled to understand him and he understood none of our questions - this is not his fault at all…but the tour company who, of course, have ignored our complaint. In the end we had an expensive stroll around some key parts of the city (not the Palace where we were supposed to finish!) and learned not much at all. Be aware of this - I’m sure this is not a usual experience and we wait for a response from the company which may mirror the tour - disappointing!!!
Our guide was Penny and she was wonderful. Took her time to explain things and we didn’t feel rushed. She is a wonderful lady.
This was an utterly amazing tour. We met our guide, Penny, in the middle of a downpour and discovered that everyone else had canceled, leaving us with a private tour. Given that another tour later in our vacation had already been canceled due to low participation, we were very grateful she still took us around town. Our tour took us to all the spots mentioned in the listing. The library was breathtaking, and Penny's descriptions of how it reflects life in Oslo really brought the town to life for us. She had plenty of stories and history to share, and she really made us feel at home in the city. Little touches - like being able to ring the bell in the harbor - made this so much more than just a tour - it felt like a homecoming. We wholeheartedly recommend this this experience to anyone wanting to experience Oslo with just a short time to do it. It was by far the best of 7 tours we took during our cruise and we are already wanting to go back. Thanks, Penny!
Penny was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about Norway and Oslo.
The tour exceeded expectations, engaging, informative, and well-organized throughout.
Amazing experience in Oslo! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and shared interesting facts that made the trip even more enjoyable, and her friendly, warm behavior made us feel very comfortable throughout. I’d highly recommend this advisor to anyone visiting—overall, a truly memorable experience!
The tour was great. The guide was fun and knew everything about Oslo and how Norwegian life is. It took just over two hours to see all the most important sites in Oslo. In that short time, I feel like a got to know the city and see what life in Oslo is like. Highly recommend!
I had such a wonderful experience joining a walking tour in Oslo! It was the perfect way to explore the city, especially if you want to get a real feel for its history, culture, and hidden corners. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience engaging and fun. I loved how the tour combined important landmarks with interesting stories and local insights that you wouldn’t easily discover on your own. Oslo is a beautiful city, and walking through its streets with someone who truly knows it makes all the difference. It felt personal, relaxed, and very informative at the same time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oslo — whether it’s your first time or not. It’s a great way to connect with the city and see it from a different perspective!
Very cool experience and tour guide. Would definitely recommend 10/10
I really enjoyed the tour! We had a lot of fun and a great experience with the guy who showed us the city center! I’ll definetely come back to the sea!
❓️Personally, what I liked the most was that the tour was built around questions!❗️ The guide constantly engaged us in dialogue—for example: “what do you think the finger of Christian IV is pointing at?” At that moment, you’re no longer just a listener but a participant: you start thinking, observing more closely, and noticing details. Because of this, history feels completely different—easy, engaging, and very vivid. This wasn’t just a tour, but a real journey through time. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants not just to see Oslo, but to truly feel its atmosphere
We just finished our walking tour in Oslo and I’m truly impressed! The guide Taras was super friendly and made everyone feel comfortable right away. As we began exploring, we passed by Karl Johans gate and headed toward The Royal Palace, where the guide shared really interesting stories that brought the city to life. We also visited Oslo Opera House, which was absolutely stunning, and walked around Akershus Fortress, learning a lot about Norway’s history along the way. The vibe feels more like exploring with a local friend than being on a tour. I definitely recommend it!
I had a wonderful walking tour of Oslo with Taras as our guide. The two hours flew by so quickly! The stories were very meaningful and the historical sites were fascinating. I am very satisfied with the experience. Highly recommend! Thank you for your great work.
I recently took Taras's tour of Oslo and was absolutely delighted! He is an incredible guide who not only knows history perfectly but also fills the stories with fascinating details. The atmosphere was light and friendly, and time flew by unnoticed. It was the best tour of my life! I highly recommend Taras to everyone who wants to really fall in love with Oslo!
I took this tour in March 2026. Even though I live in Oslo and thought I had seen everything, Taras truly surprised me! Thank you for the fascinating stories. So many familiar places opened up for me in a completely new way. It's amazing how much you can miss if a professional guide doesn't point it out! I highly recommend this tour to both guests of the city and locals. Wishing you many more discoveries!
While we did visit every site mentioned on the itinerary and our guide was very nice, he was unable to give much insight beyond what we read in tour books and could not answer many questions. More knowledge of the city was expected.
During our cruise visit to Oslo we had few time in the city and this walking tour allowed us to see as much as we could in 2 hours. This tour is 100% by walking and was exactly what we needed to really explore the city.
If you are visiting Oslo for a short period of time this walking tour with Taras is definitely for you. We are so happy you booked it. We got to see a lot and learned so much about Oslo's history.
We were very lucky to have good weather on the day of our tour, and our guide Taras took us to the most iconic places in downtown Oslo. Taras not only knows a lot about the city's history but is also an excellent storyteller.
This was a great way to wander and see the must-see sights if you have limited time in Oslo. Guide was knowledgeable
Very interesting visit of the city to discover extraordinary places such as the Cathedral of the Savior, the parliament and the royal palace. The guide recommended us the Oslo tourist pass useful for public transport and includes access to some museums. Everything perfect, thanks
