Great walk with John who shared his knowledge with passion and gave us plenty of interesting information. Very well organised. I was in a small group of 5 people. Highly recommended.

John was a great tour guide, very informative. The islands we visited were breathtaking. Nice to appreciate nature and the quietness! Would definitely recommend.
Lovely little tour on the beautiful islands. Well organised and Neve, our guide was great and super friendly.
This was a peaceful walk through beautiful nature. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Becka. She shared information we found interesting yet also gave us time to just soak in the beauty. We highly recommend this activity and Becka as well
Lovely tour into nature few minutes from busy Oslo tour guide fantastic, Scottish lady very knowledgeable, beautiful scenery,
Jon our tour guide was fantastic! Nice, knowledgeable and fun. We had a small group of 6 which was perfect. A cold windy day but we learned so much about Norwegian life, both past and present! Friluftsliv!
It was a wonderful experience. John (Not Jim 😅) was smart, entertainment and just a perfect guide. I highly recommend this tour.
Our guide John was genuinely enthusiastic about the two islands he took us to. He was extremely knowledgeable and a great pleasure to tour with.
Highly recommended. Ride on public ferry, plus guided walk round 2 islands. Shane was fantastic guide.
incredibly informative and beautiful! We experienced the perfect amount of hiking and sightseeing. It was so peaceful to see the sheep relaxing by the trees
Really wonderful way to spend the morning. Leo did an amazing job. One of the best things we did in Oslo.
Our guide, John, escorted us through two islands and shared his knowledge with us about dry cabins, the value that Norwegian citizens place on nature, and archaeoligic history of some of the ruins we encountered on the tour. It was a beautiful day for island hopping and John also has a sense of humor, which made this mini excursion all the more fun!
This was so much fun, and we learned all about the small islands surrounding Oslo. There was quite a bit of walking involved, but none of it strenuous. A breathtaking, unique perspective of Oslo! Our guide was amiable, accommodating, and shared a lot of interesting facts. We highly recommend this tour!
It was a wonderful experience. Leo was fun and shared so many interesting things. He was the best. .
A highlight of our time in Norway! Our guide, John, was knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining from start to finish. He navigated us around two beautiful islands, pointing out local flora while sharing insights into the daily routines of Norwegians and their unique connection to island life. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic, memorable local experience.
This was a great way to spend a rainy day in Oslo. To be outdoors on the Oslofjord walking around a couple of islands was fun. John, the guide was excellent! Provided so much information on Oslo/Norway history and made it even more fun. Recommend on a sunny or even rainy day
Giovanni was hands down the best tour guide we had in Norway! He was extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great time, and his knowledge of the area made the tour both fun and interesting. We would absolutely do this tour again just to have Giovanni as our guide again. If you get the chance to tour with him, you’re in for an amazing experience. 10/10 — couldn’t recommend Giovanni enough!
The island hopping tour was informative and enjoyable. Edwin was personable and very knowledgable and about Norwegian history. (The walk is mild intensity.)
Shane and Alysha were a great team of guides who led us around to two islands just a few minutes by ferry from Oslo. We might not have ventured so far around each of these islands without a guide in fear of missing the next ferry boat. They were informative, friendly and gave us some time for photos and a bit of a break. It was a bit more distance than we anticipated but we managed to keep up fine. The group was mixed seniors and younger folk and not too big. A nice and beautiful break from the city with great up close views of the cute colorful holiday homes we saw from Oslo.
Oslo tour on the public ferry with a guide. Alicia was super knowledgeable and really made the tour go. As a guide she added to the whole experience. As seasoned traveler who has travelled on a budget I want to keep it real. If you don’t need the info and background knowledge and just want to see the islands of the Oslo fjord you’re better off just buying a ferry day pass and island hopping yourself and saving the money. The guide makes the tour but you don’t need the tour to experience any of this. You don’t need to be a seasoned traveler either anyone could do it on their own.
This was a great way to see some of the islands around Oslo and enjoy the beauty outside the city. John was an excellent guide…very knowledgeable, friendly, and ready to answer all of the many many questions that we asked! A great combination of history, nature, and recreation. Highly recommend!
Megan is an excellent guide! She showed us amazing places and educated us about the local culture. Would highly recommend.
Laura was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide on our hike to 2 cabin islands. She went the extra mile to answer all our questions. I highly recommend this tour.
Great experience in Oslo nature! Guide was terrific and even got in the water with us during the swim time.
Very expensive for what the tour offers. 2 islands in total, which can EASILY be visited with a ferry without guides (they gave minimal, general information anyway). Save your money and simply visit as many islands as you want with frequent ferries, MUCH cheaper too ( ticket 40 nok, which is around 4 euros, in comparison with the roughly 40 euros I paid for the 2 islands tour). The last island was super rushed, we had to choose between a swim or a walk. The guide absolutely refused to do both. When asked to at least give me my return ticket so I can return on my owm, the main guide ( the owner of the tours), said that he couldn't do that and suggested to return without a ticket (excuse was that the tickets are online, no screenshots are possible ( which is bizarre for online tickets) but I later saw that they simply had transport cards for all of us, so why talk about online tickets, didn't get it). Since I paid for the tour AND the tickets in advance, I was very surprised to not be given my ticket/ screenshot/anything. The other guide (friendlier lady), said however that it's better to return together as a group since they have all our tickets, so contradicting information re: whether it's ok or not to return without a ticket. The owner said the people on ferries don't check tickets OR you can buy a new ticket, which I found unfair. Why do I need to I buy a new ticket when I already paid for the the tour AND for ALL my tickets ( that was, after all, what the tour offers: including all tickets). So, I had to return with them. Of course, no hint of an apology for the inconvenience or simply saying:" sorry for not being able to give you your ticket" were given. I find it poor business and bad hospitality to withhold our paid tickets, rush towards the end and dismiss my requests to have my ticket or at least quickly do both ( swim and tour of the 2nd island). I could have visited many other islands with the money I paid. Instead, I felt rushed, ignored and disappointed.
Probably better to just ride the ferry and get off where ever you like. The tour guides were sweet but two islands weren’t really worth planning and joining a tour.
Our tour guides, Megan and Shaff, were very passionate and friendly and made the trip very engaging and fun
This was very interesting look at life in Norway off the beaten path that most tourist do not get to experience. Guide added interesting facts about the islands.
Niv was an excellent guide with great energy. She herded stray cats (us!) through several beautiful Oslo islands. The hike was more of a stroll on paths around the islands. The ferry and hiking were a perfect way to experience Oslo in the summer, as locals do. Highly recommend.
Off the regular tourist track. One of our nightlights in Oslo!
This was a amazing tour all about history and nature! We all loved the tour and hope to come back soon!
Erwin and Francis were informative guides, and it was interesting to learn of the cultural history of the islands. Pretty too
This tour showcases Oslo's wonderful scenery and is a fabulous introduction to Norwegian life. There is quite a lot of walking - 3 - 4 km - and some of the terrain is uneven and rccky. You'll need walking shoes or boots with a good grip. Our tour guide Giovanni took very good care of us. We had someone with us with mild disabilities and he kindly assisted her over the more tricky parts of the walk. She was able to enjoy the experience with everyone else. We also enjoyed hearing about Giovanni's Italian perspective on Norwegian life - since he emmigrated several years ago. One of my daughters is now considering emmigrating to Norway too!
Leo our guide was excellent, he had lots of little nuggets of local knowledge and anecdotes. He clearly loves Norway. I wasn’t well and had to cut my trip short and he was so caring and attentive, taking me back to the correct stop on the ferry. There’s a fair bit of walking and a few steep bits so be prepared with good walking boots or trainers
I’m not happy with Viator. We booked excursion. The activities were not correct, meet time not correct, it was a mess. The guide did good but I contacted the provider. They said I should get 20% discount but need to do thru Viator and I can’t get anywhere on line. Very frustrated with customer service. Viator was always good. Not so much this time
Leo our guide was excellent. Knowledge and kept it funny. Patient with the slower walkers and respectful to the area we were in and the people whose homes we were so close to. Well worth the money. Earlier trip that we were on had less people which was nice. Thoroughly recommend this company and if you lucky enough to get Leo say hi from Gary 😁
Compact team, great experience on the ferry, nice Islands walk. Good info about the country sustainable view, ekonomi etc. The admission fee is friendly to my elderly parents.
This was a great trip - very well organised and plenty of communication beforehand. Guides were really helpful, informative and friendly (Becca and Giovani?) We really enjoyed it (two couples)
Rebecca was our tour guide, she was wonderful - friendly and knowledgable. Loved the short hikes & clean ferry rides.
It was very interesting tour, very nice island view, calm atmosphere and everything went smoothly. One thing, I wanted to hear more about history of the islands and more information from the guide, which was really awesome, but just I needed more to know 😀
It was really interesting to visit a few islands, walk around, and learn about some aspects of Norwegian culture that I wouldn't have learned about otherwise.
It was a lot more strenuous than the tour implied and that i was told. We are older and were with an older man. My friend had to stop. I also wished we were given time to take pictures because some of the homes, gardens and flowers were beautiful.
Excellent experience! It was a great way to explore Oslo fjord islands. During this tour, you’ll see some magical views. Our tour guide Leo shared a lot of interesting information.
Learned a lot about Oslo. Would not have learned about cottages, culture and the way of life in the country
Very fun experience. Josh did a great job. Very personable, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Josh is funny and made the tour became more interesting than "just hopping 2 islands within 3 hours". thank you! i had great time~
Neil is a very knowledgeable tour guide. We saw 2 Islands. Perfect pace, lots of historical and nature facts. Everyone enjoyed it.
It was so wonderful to walk several islands with our new friends from the Netherlands, Ireland and Wisconsin. Megan knew so much about Oslo and Norway and made the adventure incredibly educational in a fun way. The cabins are so cute and the views of the city and the islands are enchanting. Talk!
Great tour guide, Carolina was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, professional and passionate about nature! Really enjoyed all aspects of the trip! It was very well organised and ran smoothly. Thank you!
It was a great nature walk, learning the history of the islands around Oslo. Although I booked the tour because the description says that one of the islands we are going to visit is Hovedøya, we went to Bleikoya instead. Overall, it is still good.
