Absolutely excellent: informative, relatable, entertaining, eye-opening, authoritative
Fantastic informative tour of the city catering for all levels. Alicia did a fantastic job with a full group and assisted all as needed. Saw all the main sites
I did both the bike tour (with guide Leo) and islands tour (with guide Christian) with Viking Biking and would highly recommend both! A great way to orient to the city, as well as to get out to the islands easily and informatively. :D And they're just long enough to give you plenty of context and also plenty of time to continue exploring afterwards or return to favorite spots. Christian and Leo were especially friendly, knowledgeable, and good-humored. Would recommend!
Guide was fun and knowledgeable
Alicia was a phenomenal guide! Probably my favorite thing I did in Oslo. Great stopping points along the tour, awesome biking route, a ton of fun!
This bike tour was fantastic. Our tour guide, Shane, was knowledgeable and funny. He’s one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. The bike itself was nicer than my bike at home and was very comfortable. Highly recommend.
It is a wonderful way to see the highlights of Oslo. Erwin at Viking Biking did an amazing job at providing all the history of Oslo. Thank you
It was a great bike tour and I’ve done quite a few (Munich, Barcelona & Bucharest).
Curtis was our guide and was aided by Dr. John another female assistant that brought me my horned helmet, saddle bag to carry my things and took my photo for me! Curtis is an attorney with a masters who just was a wealth of information that he patient provided with much humor. We first went to a dock and experienced the peace of Oslo by the fjord in mediation for a few minutes, then the Oslo City Hall where Noble Peace Prize awarded, then the the National Palace, we went to the Askers (sp?) Castle, residential streets of West Oslo past a number of embassys, then a new wharf and Vigeland Park (maybe not in that order) but Curtis even provided us with an Oslo map of where we'd been. Took many photo of me for me since I was solo. Just so much fun riding on the calm Oslo streets in the warm sunshine like a Viking in my horned helmet!
Greg guide Curtis who is actually the owner. He has a wonderful personality and really knows what he is doing. Bikes are good. Went longer than planned which was great. Saw a lot and learned a lot.
This was a pedal bike - not e-bike - tour. Almost entirely flat and very easy, so having to pedal was a non-issue. Should be reassuring to everyone. Our guide Leo was informative and entertaining. A great way to get oriented in the city and see some of the highlights.
Highly recommend!! This is an amazing way to see so many different parts of Oslo in 3 hours. We only had a few days to spend here and this bike tour made seeing a lot of the city very easy and we learned so much more than we could have just on our own! Curtis (owner and operator) was our tour guide and he was fabulous! He made the entire experience so fun and was so knowledgeable. Thank you to Curtis and everyone at Viking Biking for making this experience so special and one we will never forget.
Oslo is a beautiful city with many architectural marvels. The sculptures at Vigland park were amazing.
Amazing tour, Erwin’s anecdotes about Oslo is every educational and fun, this is good for all ages, it was a very good morning biking around Oslo
A great bike tour with a really fun, knowledgeable guide, Erwin! A safe, beautiful tour of Oslo! A young family was on the tour. Their 5 year old biked the city with no issue. The bikes and gear are nice. Highly recommend this tour for a great overview of the city. Thanks Erwin!! 😊
A rainy day but we made it through the tour. Our guide was great and provided interesting information as we made our way around Oslo.
Great guide. Some people had e-bikes but I don’t recall having a choice. Covered some highlights of Oslo but wish there had been a few photo stops along the way.
The bike tour is a must for seeing the best of Oslo. We visited the must see places and had to free time to explore built in to the tour as well which was great. The bikes were in great condition. Leo is very personable and informative providing great history / background on the sights we visited. Definitely recommend this bike tour.
Our guide Kat was wonderful, patient and interesting. We learned a lot about the places visited on the bike ride, and she guided us through some urban quiet streets with little traffic. She is great on Oslo history, entertaining and informative. The only downsides were: (1) our group had 28 bikers (two groups of 14) and the check-in, fitting of rental bike at the start was needlessly hectic because of the rather carnival barker-like fellow handling the check-in. It worked out fine (we all got bikes that worked well for us) but distributing the bikes could have been handled in a more customer friendly manner. And (2) there is not much actual bike riding during 2 1/2 hours. The tour consists mostly of informative stops of 10-30 minutes separated by brief rides to the next stop.
The biking is very easy. Lots of stops. It’s a great way to get to the park although I wish we had more time there.
Fun tour and you obviously cover a lot of ground on bikes. King Harald V passed away on the day of our tour so there were more crowds than usual on part of the tour. Our guide respectfully adjusted our route. Oslo is such a bike friendly city and riding through the various neighborhoods was a great experience. Our tour guide shared so much knowledge about the city and country.
Francis was a fun guide and gave us a great experience while also making sure to keep everyone safe.
Francis was an amazing guide! We saw so much and his enthusiasm was so contagious. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this must do activity.
Although the centre of Oslo was busy following Kings Haralds death, Francis still took us on an interesting and entertaining trip around Oslo and provided further info for future exploration of this lovely city
Josh was exceptional. His charm and personality was welcoming but as the tour began it became quickly evident that he would be articulate and informative. Awesome easy bike ride, doing as the local do to see and stop and visit several 'must see locations
This is a great way to get an overview of the city. We were able to stop at the palace and a sculpture park and others spots. You get around a lot faster on bikes and get to see more and then we went back to the areas we want to explore further. Our guide was very knowledgeable and told us some fun facts and historical information. It was a little cool and wet, but that didn’t bother us.
Josh was our guide and navigator for our exploration of Oslo on bike as so many of the natives do! He was engaging, informative, and personal in such a way it seemed more like a friend taking you around and showing you 'the places to go'. He made my experience personal as we engaged in deeper dives with culture, immigration, and Tourism in Oslo and more globally in Norway.
Patrick was an amazing tour guide and we enjoyed our 3 hour tour of Oslo in the sun immensely. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed the tour very much as our guide Patrick provided us with lots of information about the history as well as information about how oslo is now. Very interesting. Bike ride is smooth and easy for everyone. Big thanks to everyone
We signed up for this bike tour of Oslo so that we could see more of the city than by traveling on foot. The tour did exactly that, with frequent stops and a very manageable cycling pace. Annabelle, our guide, was engaging, patient and informative. We stopped at various locations around the city centre and she told us stories and facts about each area. She was also flexible about the time spent at each place. After the tour, Annabelle showed us various places to eat, see or things to do for the remainder of our trip. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to cover more ground than sightseeing on foot.
Great experience! As we only had one full day in Oslo before setting out to explore the more of Norway, I'm very glad we took advantage of this opportunity to get a quick introduction to city and nation. The bikes made it easy to get around, the guide kept our group together, and the route was accessible for anyone (~7 miles and mostly flat with ample opportunities to stop and briefly explore certain sites while the guide watched the bikes). They also generously switched us to the afternoon tour when our arrival flight in Oslo was significantly delayed the night before.
Eh, just fine. Not bad, not great either. Route wasn’t great for bikes, lots of walking bikes or weaving through pedestrians. Guide was very friendly but didn’t seem to know all that much about Oslo. Likely would have been easier/better to rent just the bike and have Gemini build us a self guided bike tour.
This is a wonderful, efficient way to see Oslo when you have limited time, rr when you really just want a taste of some highlights without lingering too long on any one of them. Leo, our terrific guide, was knowledgeable, warm and funny. The bikes were in good shape and the riding was easy. Took two 12 year olds who have some experience riding bikes and they kept up without any issues. Really fun 3 hours - just enoigh time - not too little, not too much. Highly recommend this tour and Leo!!
This tour was a very compelling way of presenting various aspects of Oslo. The guide Shaf offered great historical storytelling packed with humor. I thoroughly enjoyed it; the ride was not challenging, and the three hours went by quickly
A brilliant three hours- the cycling is easy & fun and the sights interesting & often stunning (especially the view from the palace and the sculpture park). Leo, our guide was engaging, informative and entertaining. This is a great way to spend a first day in Oslo, getting to know the city.
What a fun and educational way to see Oslo! Haven’t been on a bike in years, but it was fun! Weaving in and out of people we stopped long enough at several key places to take photos and get to experience the amazing landmarks. These were things that were on my list and we would’ve never accomplished this on our own.
The bike tour around Oslo was the highlight of our trip. Our wonderful guide Sander was a local university student in Oslo and he was genuinely enthusiastic and clearly loved explaining about Norway in an engaging way for all members of our group - couples /solo travellers and families. We saw the main points of Oslo and had time to explore at each stop. The city of Oslo is so calm and different to any city we have visited before….very easy to cycle around. The bikes are well maintained and comfortable- the Viking horns were a fun addition to the helmets ! The length of the tour was just right. The tour is great value and I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oslo
Excellent tour guide Shaf. Articulate. Enthusiastic. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Safety awareness. Time allotted was sufficient. Each stop allowed adequate time to view the site instead of biking immediately past it.
Excellent tour, great fun and educational, even the "hard to please" teens loved it. Clarisse, our guide was a joy to spend time with. Highly recommend.
The bike tour was lovely. As an American family, it felt very European to bike through the streets of Oslo. Patrick, our guide, shared meaningful facts about each stop. With small breaks we had plenty of time for picture taking. The bikes were well maintained and the route was manageable. The stops including the royal palace and the sculpture garden allowed us just enough time to take in the beauty.
We loved the knowledge and enthusiasm of our bike tour guide. We think her name was Katerina, or a derivative of that.
We had a great tour today with Giacomo. We saw so much more of the city than we would have otherwise, and heard lots of the interesting history of the city too. The cycling was not too strenuous - Oslo is a lovely flat city! so our daughters could cope well with it. We loved exploring the sculpture park which we may not have bothered with if we hadn’t done this tour. Thank you!!
Really enjoyed this leisurely and informative guided cycle tour of Oslo. Included the harbour, landmarks, parks and neighbourhoods
Excellent tour by bicycle. Leo was the best guide ever. I would recommend to any and everyone. Oslo is a beautiful quiet city.
Clarisse from France, I believe that was her name, was very personable and knowledgeable. I felt safe throughout the tour. I appreciated the chance to stop and explore some of the amazing stops for a few minutes, especially the sculpture garden.
Great guide Giacomo Great city. Perfect amount of cycling and information. Couldn’t have been better
We had a fantastic tour with Austra! She has lived in the city for only 5 years but her knowledge of the history and geography of Oslo was impressive. We followed several her suggestions but the one that impressed us most was the ride to the end of the LRT line to a beautiful lake high above the City. Wow! Thanks Austra!
One of the best tour experiences I’ve had. Seeing Oslo by bike was so much more fun on a bike. I learnt so much history with Erwin
Clarice was very informative and fun. She looked after our safety and made sure we were enjoying the experience
