Had a great 3 night stay here. Room clean and bed comfortable. Had wonderful breakfast (included with room) that everything you could want from brown cheese, eggs, smoked salmon, and pastries. All personnel were great and our breakfast hostess (a blond haired lady) was so warm and welcoming it made us feel at home.
We had a comfortable stay at Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz in Oslo. The highlight was definitely the breakfast buffet—an impressive spread with plenty of options, and it runs until 11 AM, which is perfect for a relaxed start to the day. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they are well-maintained and functional. It did get quite warm during our July stay since there’s no air conditioning, but the front desk was very accommodating and provided table fans, which helped. The lobby staff were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We also appreciated the complimentary water, coffee, and tea available at reception. Location-wise, the hotel is very convenient. It’s within walking distance of the Royal Palace and about a 15-minute walk to the harbor. There’s also a tram stop right in front of the hotel, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay with great service and an excellent breakfast. A solid choice for Oslo, especially during cooler months.
Hotel Rosenkrantz is a wonderful, clean, and cozy place to stay in Oslo, featuring beautiful colors and decor. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are great, nicely decorated with quality materials. I loved the seating areas in the lobby and the top-floor lounge, which offers free coffee, nice views, and a VIP vibe. The breakfast is nice and decent; you definitely won't leave hungry. If you want a safe, comfortable, and peaceful place to sleep, this is it. Highly recommended!
Perfect for an Oslo City Break! Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz Oslo is the ideal base for exploring Norway’s vibrant capital. Located in the heart of the city, most major attractions are within easy walking distance, and a tram stops right outside the door. If you’re driving, there’s a parking garage directly across the street—convenient, though not cheap (as expected in Oslo). The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The design is modern, cheerful, and thoughtfully arranged, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the well-equipped gym, and the rooftop lounge is a fantastic spot to relax and soak in. But the real highlight is the breakfast buffet—one of the best we’ve ever experienced. It leaves nothing to be desired: from classic bacon, beans, and eggs in every style, to a variety of cheeses, fish, muesli, fresh fruit, and vegetables. There are also sweet treats, multiple juices, and an assortment of breads and rolls. Rarely have we seen such a well-curated and abundant spread! All in all, Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz Oslo ticks every box for a memorable and comfortable stay in Oslo. Highly recommended!
Quite an easy review to write here, PERFECT in everyway. Staff are fantastic everywhere in the hotel. The rooms are a good size, great shower, very quiet. Breakfast is probably the best in Oslo. Location, you can't get a better place in Oslo, everywhere is walkable from the hotel. This is the only place you need to checkout if you are planning to stay in Norway. Will we be back, absolutely !
