The place is very nice. Is in the center of the city. The breakfast is delicious and plenty of food. Then, have a bar-restaurant that have a great menu and at night Ana is on service and is very friendly and give a good service. The bed is comfortable and big. The only thing dind't like was the service at the reception.
Flawless Stay in Oslo – Outstanding Food and Warm Hospitality! Thon Hotel Europa was the perfect place to end our trip. It is an exceptionally well-run property where everything came together effortlessly to deliver a comfortable and memorable stay. The Highlights: Spacious Rooms & Great Views: Our room was wonderfully spacious and overlooked a peaceful park right in front of the hotel. Even though we were positioned near the elevator, the room was quiet and comfortable. Exceptional Dining: The breakfast spread was so delicious and varied that it set the bar for our entire trip. In fact, we enjoyed the food so much that we chose to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant every single evening! Thoughtful Extras & Service: The staff were genuinely friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Having free coffee and tea available in the reception area was a fantastic, cozy touch. Verdict: With zero complaints, excellent dining, and top-tier service, Thon Hotel Europa is a gem. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Solid European service. The room was clean and functional with all the facilities you need: a safety box, empty fridge, wine glasses, instant coffee, and mugs. There is no AC, but they provide a fan which perfectly deals with the hot Norwegian days. A rich breakfast is included with many options available. For me, the most attractive part was the local fish, fish eggs, and different kinds of local cheese. The traditional Norwegian filter coffee was also really good. There were many other options as well. Big thanks to the staff working there for creating such comfortable conditions!
*1 Star* For Housekeeping Nice hotel in a great location, but it feels quite small and compact. The rooms are modern and clean overall, but the space is limited. The biggest disappointment was the housekeeping service, which was practically nonexistent. On the 4th day I specifically went to the front desk to request housekeeping because I only needed refills for the shampoo and hand soap dispensers. When they finally came, they only made the bed and left everything else untouched. They didn’t even open the bathroom door or refill anything. On the 6th day, housekeeping came in again, clearly saw the open soap dispenser, simply closed the cover, and left without refilling it. It felt like they were going through the motions without actually providing any real service. Everything else about the hotel was fine, but the lack of basic housekeeping over a longer stay was really poor. I would not recommend this hotel if you need reliable room service during your stay. One star for housekeeping.
Stopped by this hotel to have lunch. We tried their soup, main course, and dessert. Overall they are well preparer and have good quality. The main course wae the best. The salmon is cooked nicely and very fresh, the sauce pairs really well. The soup could be improved. The pudding for dessert is good, very nice flavors, although texture could be smoother.
