Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo

Ideal central location- very close to train station. The free fruit and sparkling water at reception is appreciated. A large hotel with multiple stories and great views of various aspects of Oslo. Friendly staff. Plush bedding with crisp white clean sheets. We liked it a lot.

The name Radisson Blu comes with its own reputation. The hotel is close to the city center, however the rating can be reduced because of its surrounding is covered with filth and littering. The room is spacious and well maintained. The corridor was smelling at times which was addressed after repeated complaints at reception. The breakfast starts at 7AM which is bit late as people starts working from 7AM in Oslo, so need to be taken care. However the food spread is good.

Perfect location a very short walk from Central Station. A great pizza bar and a lovely roof top restaurant bar. Staff were fantastic, breakfast was great... you have to get a fresh omelette. Our stay was made all the better with a complimentary upgrade because of a special birthday. Thank you for helping make our visit to your extraordinary city very memorable.

Lovely hotel with nice, helpful and knowledgeable staff! We stayed in a Premium Room with a panoramic fjord view – absolutely amazing. The room had everything we needed except for a shoehorn 😅 The only issue with the room was that it got way too warm. Maybe it was because of the heat wave but unfortunately the AC wasn’t able to cool it down enough. The front desk kindly offered us a fan which definitely helped q little bit but I would have expected the AC to work better. We also visited the rooftop bar where our waitress (I totally forgot her name but she was from Taiwan and I think it sounded like Ai-yin 🥰) was incredibly nice. She made amazing cocktails and the best iced coffee 😋 Also a big thanks to the chef who made the omelettes for breakfast (I hope I got his name right – Bimol Babu). Even with so many hungry guests he always took the time to make everyone’s omelette just the way they wanted it and was so friendly to everyone 🙏 The only other downside was the area around the hotel. Positives: Super close to the Oslo Bus Terminal and Central Station and within walking distance of the Opera House and Sørenga, where you can swim and choose from lots of great restaurants. Negative: There were quite a few homeless people and people with most probably drug addictions around the area during the day. We never felt unsafe and luckily we didn’t see them at night but it did make the area feel a bit less pleasant. Despite all that I’d definitely choose this hotel again for my future stays in Oslo.
