Clarion Hotel The Hub

I was very disappointed with my stay. The lobby is beautiful and the hotel looks modern, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, the shower drain was completely blocked. Every time I showered, the water flooded the entire bathroom, reaching the toilet and sink area and almost overflowing into the room. I reported the issue on the first night. The front desk said they would fix it the next day and even mentioned compensation. However, when I returned the following afternoon, nothing had been done. Even worse, the staff seemed unaware of the previous report and sent someone to inspect it again, only to tell me it couldn’t be repaired immediately and suggested changing rooms. Since I was checking out the next morning, moving rooms made no sense. If the hotel had been honest from the beginning and told me they couldn’t fix the problem, I would have changed rooms on the first night. The lack of communication and poor handling of the issue made this a very disappointing stay. I would not recommend this hotel.

I visited friends checked in at Clarion Hotel and the room is spacious and clean. It is located near Oslo Sentralstasjonen and has easy access to transportation and stores. We tried the indoor pool and sauna and it was good, though a little crowded. Unluckily, the jacuzzi was not working on our visit. We had a good time at the rooftop bar and they have a wide selection of alcoholic drinks and mocktails. I think it is best to visit in summer and winter so you can see the view of Oslo.

Great location and just across from the train station. We got a great room with a beautiful view - we spent a lot more time in the room just because of this. The staff was super friendly, helpful and service minded. The breakfast had everything you could wish for and more (except from gluten free crackers for the cheese - but that is just nit picking, the hard bread did the job :). Did not try out the spa, but look forward to it the next time! This hotel was one of the best I have visited, no doubt.

Brilliant hotel to stay in if you're travelling by train to Oslo. It's a 5 minute walk from Oslo Central Station. Has the Oslo City Mall nearby, as well as, lots of shops and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. Our room was quite short of space with the extra bed provided, and would've liked to have a kettle in the room, not just a nespresso machine. The breakfast however, was phenomenal! Had a great variety of breakfast items. Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy the pool area since it was under renovation during the entire length of our stay. Overall, a brilliant place to stay, would recommend.
