Clean and comfortable rooms. Techology in the rooms a little confusing, especially the lights. The hotel has an excellent location close to the central station, tram and bus. Excellent food selection in the breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff.

1/5 – Extremely disappointing experience This was, by far, the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We booked two Junior Suites (the highest room category at the hotel) for three nights, expecting a premium experience. Instead, we encountered problems from the moment we arrived. Both rooms were unbearably hot. We set the air conditioning to 18°C, but it made no difference throughout our stay. We reported the issue immediately, but were simply told that the central air conditioning system was working properly, even though the rooms remained extremely warm. To make matters worse, the minibars in both rooms were broken and did not cool our drinks. The hotel admitted they were defective and said they would be replaced, but nothing was done during our stay. Housekeeping was also unacceptable. During three nights, they only made the beds and replaced the towels. The floors were never cleaned, the trash was never emptied, and the rooms were never properly serviced. The hotel offered us ice for our drinks and a complimentary dinner as compensation. We declined and requested a refund instead, as we felt this did not adequately address the problems. Our request was refused. We travelled to Oslo with my 65-year-old parents to enjoy a short family vacation, but these ongoing issues significantly affected our stay. Considering the price we paid for the hotel’s highest-category rooms, the level of service was far below what we expected. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great location! Everything is within walking distance, and Oslo Central Station is only about a 5-minute walk away. There is a supermarket just around the corner and a fantastic street food hall right across the street. The rooms are perfectly fine and have everything you need. However, the bed felt a bit too narrow for two people, and unfortunately, the pillows were not very comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding and provides a fantastic start to the day. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a great hotel for a city trip to Oslo, and I would happily stay here again.
Great hotel w nice location for a short stay, literally 5 min walk to track 13 of the main station to the airport which is 20 min away by fast Airport Express. Jorden at the reception was super helpful. Breakfast is also quite good and the only thing missing is a sauna. The breakfast usually starts at 7 am, but on public holiday, they start later and our take away breakfast bag was very minimally packed, tried to get something additional at 7:09 am was impossible. People really don’t work on holidays in these Nordic countries.
I chose this hotel for two main reasons: its excellent location close to the city centre, and its appealingly modern room design. I'm happy to say it delivered on both fronts, and my overall stay was very positive. Starting with the highlights: the room was spacious, well-designed, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable (gloriously fluffy and soft!). The bathroom came stocked with Rituals amenities, which felt like a lovely touch. The breakfast was genuinely one of the best I've encountered in a hotel: the menu stayed consistent throughout my stay, but the variety was impressive and everything was incredibly fresh and tasty (cheese!!). The staff were also warm, friendly, and helpful, even during what seemed to be a busy business event that had the hotel buzzing. There were two small things worth mentioning. Firstly, there was no electric kettle in the room, only a coffee machine, which was great, but after a long chilly day of walking, a cup of tea before bed would have been lovely. The website did mention tea and coffee facilities, so this may vary by room or the information may simply be outdated. Secondly, the room felt a little cold despite the AC running, though I'll admit I tend to prefer things on the warmer side, so this may simply be a personal preference. Either way, these are genuinely minor points in the context of an otherwise excellent stay. I would happily return to Clarion, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!
