Our tour guide Taka took us around Osaka. Taka was incredibly knowledgeable. Our tour started with Osaka Castle. We then had lunch at a ramen place nearby which was excellent. Our tour continued to the Shitenoji temple. From there we made our way to Shinsekai where Taka pointed out the largest Billiken statue. We then went to Kuromon market and ended at Dotombori. Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a highlights tour of Osaka. There was ample time at each stop, and the tour does a great job of explaining what is included and what you need to purchase.

This tour is an excellent overview of many of Osaka’s principal tourist attractions, beginning with Osaka Castle. Our guide, Taka, is a genteel native of the region, with deep knowledge and a keen sense of humor. The trek includes a sampling of Osaka’s popular cuisine and sake tasting! As a fringe benefit, Taka showed us how to use the Osaka metro, a skill we used extensively during the rest of our stay. We highly recommend this overview on your first day in Osaka! Bring your good walking shoes, a hat, a camera, and an appetite.

We finished with a stroll through the Kuromon Market, sampling local delicacies and chatting with friendly vendors. This tool was amazing. I had so much fun. It was very insightful. My guide taka was a very nice man. He stopped and gave us insightful details to each and every place we went. Including temples, landmarks, and fun little things. He also showed us around some beautiful historic monuments, nice food places, and busy streets. He was very kind in taking my families photos and providing funny jokes. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Is great value for money. You even get lunch included. We ate some top quality Ramen and loved it. Thank you for this wonderful experience. Would highly recommend anyone else trying to do it.

The guide Taka was super knowledgeable and wonderful. My family and I had an amazing experience. Transport on metro was so efficient and easy because of this tour. Otherwise, figuring out Osaka train system to get to all these sites in one day would have been too complicated on our own. You need comfortable walking shoes for sure as you do walk a lot. We felt we were given plenty of time to visit each site. Come hungry as there were so many places to eat at Kuromon market. It was totally worth the price, and I highly recommend this tour!

Great overall tour of Osaka. Taka-San was great! We highly recommend him! Highlights include Osaka Castle, best ramen yet in Japan with view of Osaka Castle and two very cool temples - people’s temple and Tenryuzen Hizenji. These had great stories! Street food and markets were also highlights!

Well balanced tour between historical & modern Osaka. So glad we visited Osaka Castle first. Long lines by the time we were leaving but we walked straight in. Plenty of walking but if you are active this should not be a problem. Takanobu was so helpful when traversing train system. Really appreciated his assistance when getting back to our hotel.

Taka was an excellent guide, he explained us a lot of things and his English was very good. The tour is very complete for the price, I recommend it strongly, even for cruisers as the time is very convenient and you are able to see all main spots from Osaka on a tour and can join the tour from the port easily. The meal included is local but very good and the lunch place quiet and with fantastic views.

Truly a 5 star service and tour. The guide Takanobu Dodge was exceptional. At the end of the tour he went out of his way to help me find my way back through the bus system to the hotel. He stayed with me at every step of the process.

The guide was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He was so knowledgeable and kind. The tour was amazing, so many different spots, and his information about each of the spots was extremely insightful. I would highly recommend, the tour not only shows you many spots but Taka will explain the meaning behind all of the sites which is something you don’t get by just visiting the sites. The ramen for lunch was amazing as well.

Nice way to see the highlights of Osaka with a guide who knows how to navigate the subway and where all the great photo spots are. The group is no more than 8 people, which makes navigating easier. Taka was informative and a great guide.

A very fun tour to see some of Osaka’s top historic spots and most popular areas. Our guide Taka was really informative when it came to the sites we visited and very helpful with navigating the train system. He gave the good tip of purchasing an all day metro pass (only 820 yen) which also allowed us to jump the long line at Osaka Castle and got a small discount on admission there and at Shintennoji Temple. There is quite a bit of walking; be prepared for that. But the weather was nice, so the walking wasn’t unpleasant. On the whole, a good way to spend the day and a pretty good value for the relatively inexpensive tour price.

An excellent tour of Osaka! We loved how many places we were able to cover in just 1 day and appreciated our guide’s Taka’s informative tour. It was very easy to get to each location and a good amount of time was spent to explore each. Definitely recommend!

It was fine. We walked to various places but our guide didn’t engage us in conversation, even though I tried, and walked in front by 10-20 feet most of the time. He stopped occasionally and told us a tidbit or two (ie “this wall is 32 meters high”) and then kept walking. At one point we walked about 15 minutes to Shinsekai, we walked two corners, he told us a thing or two, offered to take our picture and said “okay, now we’re walking to the next place”. And he walked fast. I spent some of my time listening to an audio tour on my phone about the places we went to and learned more that way.

Taka guided the group of nine of us like the pro he was. Whenever he explained the historical significance of something on the tour, he backed up with pictures from his tablet, which was a great added, plus!
