Rita was very knowledgeable and gave a great introduction to Osaka, its history, and its spirit. Plus there was a nice break for a local snack.
Big thankyou to Kaori, for being an amazing guide! You took all the guesswork work out of Osaka and gave us great highlights to help us orientate and get our bearings on Day 1! Highly recommended! ⭐️
My tour guide, Hideoki, was excellent; well informed, easy to talk with, highly professional Thanks to him, my first visit to Osaka was very enjoyable. I will definitely come back!
It was a nice trip. I only had a few hours and it was good to see a little bit while I could. I was the only one on my trip so we didn’t have to linger at places which I liked
It was a fantastic experience giving a great profile of the city of Osaka. We had lovely food, Mikano was the best guide with great English skills. It was a good walking pace. I would fully recommend this walk as a great start in Ōsaka.
Hide gave us a wonderful overview of Osaka. We as Americans were joined by two Japanese who were unfamiliar with the town as well. Started at the Osaka train station for about a half an hour, which is beautiful and the elevated view of the city and explanation of the geography, history, population, demographics, and where this region fits into the country of Japan was wonderful. Experienced the subway, and several markets one more typical, one high-end, and one food walking street. Saw a couple of Shinto temples and a Buddhist temple and were given a basic overview of both religions and where they fit into Japanese society. Had some wonderful deep fried skewers in a cute little restaurant where we ate inside of VW van! Finished with his recommendation for a great restaurant, which did not disappoint us as well. Hide could not have been nicer. Getting there was a little tricky so leave some extra time when you try to get to Osaka station to find the start. We are very thankful for the great hospitality and experience that we had!
Harry-san gave us a great tour, beautiful city, local insights and no rush, a fabulous way to introduce to our first day in Japan
We had a good time with Rika. She gave us specific directions on where to meet. Do note that Osaka Station is busy and can be complicated as well. We had no issues with Tokyo or Kyoto. She was very sweet and showed us 3 main areas of Osaka… all of them a little different from the other. She had some funny stories to go along with our tour. I recommend this tour with her especially if you do not have much time in Osaka.
A great trip visiting various districts in Osaka with our guide. Various stops on the way to local retail locations made it very personal.
This was our first tour while visiting Japan and it was the perfect start. Yahiro taught us so much about history, culture and our surroundings! His goal was for us to love Osaka and he succeeded. He created lifetime memories for all of us!
It is not a food guide tour, but a very informative tour to step up your knowledge of Osaka in general. Not only.Kaori-san was gracious and informative, but well prepared for bad weather as well which we appreciated . We enjoyed her tour very much.
Great tour of Osaka. Our guide Hide was outstanding and a pleasure to be with. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this tour.
Wonderful guide, saw many sites, great tour. Took me to points I knew nothing about. Ate in a van, unique experience
The tour was amazing. Kaori, our guide, was helpful, informative, and patient. The tour was well-planned and paced. Highly recommended.
Walking around a train station. Then you must oay for your own ticket to go to other side if town (Namba). Walking around market streets, stop for a snack- beef /pork /chicken/potato on a stick and a soft drink. More walking thru market streets. Then left to find own way back. 😪
My wife and I visited Osaka in March 2025 just for a day so the time was very limited. This tour was perfect because our guide, Ishiro (Ishisan), show us the landmarks of the city with the respective history, the traditional and the new, took us to sample kushikatsu and the soft drink ramune (lemonade soda), and he went above and beyond by showing us the Osaka castle and guide us in the Osaka station to get on the right train to the airport. I loved the tour and would highly recommend it.
It was a great tour! I learned a lot, my guide spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend it!
We had a very good tour experience with our private guide Mr. Ichiro Ando. He met us in our hotel in the morning and then we walked from our Hotel to the nearest metro station on our first stop - 1. Osaka Castle - We covered the whole building - all the floors which have museum access. We learnt about different wars fought within Japan and how the imperial nation went through different changes in leadership. 2. Tenjinbashi Suji - Osaka's longest shopping street. Walking through this street is a big task since its ~3km walking street. Here there are a lot of shops selling seafood, clothes and everything you can think of. So a good pair of walking shoes will definitely help. 3. Tenmangu Shrine - Its a very peaceful shrine. Its common for students to visit this shrine and pray for scoring well in the exams. Our guide explained the history about the castle and Japan very well with the help of photos. He engaged us with his good story telling ability. We had so many questions about and Japan and how its culture developed. He didn't mind our questions and Mr. Ando being 72 years young and proud of Japan, answered all our questions with boundless enthusiasm. Thanks Ichiro. Hope to meet you soon.
What better way than to see and get 1st hand tips during a 3- hour walking tour with Kao- chan. It was simply a snapshot with no tinge of haste, Kao- chan gave us an impressive performance of her guiding skills by ensuring that we understood what was said. We were simply lucky that we , mother and son, were the only ones in the tour hence, a personalized one ! No time wasted. Worthy value!
Our tour guide Hary was amazing. He was very knowledgeable of the history of Osaka. Very pleasant and friendly guy. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is short on time but wants to have a little taste of Osaka.
The guide was patient and very helpful and the reason why 4 stars otherwise it would have been 2 stars! Tour stops were not as expected to be a tour of Osaka especially for the price but Hansin dept store stop was the best part.
Our guide Ichi was first rate! Having just arrived, this tour gave us a great insight into the development of Osaka and helped with our orientation of the 3 areas we explored . Ichi was very knowledgeable and so proud to share his love of Osaka. Highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide Kaori was amazing and spoke good English. She took the time to explain things in detail about each location. In particular, she would answer any questions we had for her and if she didn’t immediately know the answer, would look up the answer herself and convey to us. We only started to appreciate Japan after our experience with her on this tour.
We had a great time with Ms Miyo Kuyama, our tour guide. She is very witty and and conducted the tour with a smile throughout. She had great knowledge of the places and told us very interesting anecdotes related to the sites. Thanks to her, we had an amazing experience.
Fun, and interesting tour. Our guide “Harry” grew up in Osaka and was extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour.
Kaiko provided so much information and we got.to see.things we would not normally have seen. Wonderful day and highly recommend.
We did have a bit of trouble meeting up with Kaori (our guide), mainly because Osaka station is massive and the meeting point is downstairs. Anyway, once we met up, Kaori showed us some of the sites, especially around the shopping district—a fascinating place. We are both quite old and suffering from a number of physical problems, nevertheless Kaori tailored our walk to meet our needs. So, it was a bit of a saunter rather than a walk. It was good fun and Kaori was an excellent guide.
Very good walking tour. Our guide gave us lots of good local info and we enjoyed the places we went to. Small snack and drink included as described.
Nice tour guide but the constant request to pose for photos for the tour company’s Facebook page was a bit obnoxious.
We really enjoyed our trips with Harry. He walked at a good pace, answered our questions and told us about the area.
Excellent guide named Miyo. Her English was amazing and she answered so many questions during the course of our tour that 3 other previous guides did not answer fully. She took us to a fabulous place to eat. I would recommend this tour to all. IF you get Miyo for your guide you will be very fortunate!
Had a great tour of Osaka and Ichiro was a fantastic guide, gave us lots of information about the city, the different areas and history, and it was a really fun experience. Would definitely recommend the tour as a great way to see Osaka and the different sides of it.
Ichiru, our guide was excellent. He took us to places we wouldn’t be able to find in our own. We made four great stops, including a light lunch. Just the right timing and pace for me. Great experience.
Harry was impressive in running our tour .He took us to some very interesting places and gave us a good perspective of Osaka . We were especially impressed as he went out of his way to guide our journey back to our cruise ship
Not only was Ichiro very courteous, helpful but amazing tour guide as well. If I could, I’d give him 10 stars Our trip to Osaka would be incomplete without having done this tour and I would recommend this for everyone. Well, we chose a super hot day. He made sure he were indoors for the most part and got to see all the places.
It was very good experience. We got knowledge when Osaka was build, what happened after World War Two.We also tried very good Japanese food!Thank you to our trip advisor Keiko-san!
Amazing tour and great recs. Learning about the history of Osaka and the difference of North and South was very informational. Thank you Ichi!
The tour was very relaxed, easy paced, which is what you need when the weather is hot and humid. We visited 3 different areas, taking the the tube to each. Our guide was very knowledgeable and give as lots of facts and history about Osaka. We stopped for a snack to try the cuisine which was a nice break. For me the best place was Namba, its very busy but has a great atmosphere. We only had a group of 5 which was perfect, almost a private tour! Would recommend if you want to visit a few areas to get a good understanding of Osaka.
This was an interesting tour. We definitely saw parts of Osaka we would not have visited on our own. It gave us a completely different feel for the city than we would have taken away from the standard tourist spots. Our guide was pleasant, informative, and definitely loved her city.
We didn’t enjoy our walk and it wasn’t what we expected. There were only 4 of us and Rika didn’t check what we might be interested in. Too long at Osaka Station, the garish Dontonburi area was plastic, the ‘tasting restaurant’ was dirty. We did enjoy walking through the old Geisha / theatre alley way and seeing the little Shinto & Buddist Temple/Shrine. Wouldn’t recommend, sorry Guide Rika.

Absolutely fantastic, first time being Osaka here, I think this is great way to have first look of this city
An excellent trip with Minako! We only had one day in Osaka and Minako made sure she could give us information, tips and practical advice, both for Osaka and Japan in general. We got to meet local friends of Minako who were all kind, welcoming and friendly. We recommend this tour 100% and hope to see Minako again on another tour in the future.
Great tour with information on the Osaka station, then a visit to a cool area with lots of food and arcade type areas, followed by a tasty snack served inside an old VW bus at a restaurant, and ending at the Dotonburi area. Keiko was a great tour guide!
We really enjoyed our tour. The guide was very informative and knowledgeable and we learned much about the city. We would definitely recommend.
Kaori ran a very good tour. while the weather was not good, Kaori showed us a lot of Osaka and provided insights on the history and the great food available. we highly recommend this walking tour as a great introduction to what Osaka has to offer.
Lovely informative tour with a fabulous guide Keiko and her wonderful assistant. Thank you 🙏 Nice taste of Osaka and train ride.
Tower building and great guide were highlights. Would be nice to spend a little less time in the food court however.
A great way to get oriented in Osaka, both with history, where the yummy food is, and learning about the difference and etiquette of Shinto shrine and Buddhist temple. So good to be able to ask lots of questions as we walked. Guides were great!
