Osaka Sushi Making Experience

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the sushi masterclass! Our group of 9 people thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of the experience. The instructor was engaging, and the step-by-step guidance made making sushi feel simple and incredibly fun. Everything from the fresh ingredients to the lively atmosphere was perfect, and all of us walked away with great new culinary skills and full stomachs. It was highly organized and accommodated our entire group beautifully, making it an unforgettable experience that we will definitely recommend to all our friends!

Amazing experience. Very informative and had lots of fun making sushi! Our only issues was we made 12 pieces of sushi each and couldn't quite finished it, so we took the rest away to finish if off shortly after.

This class was one of the more memorable things me and my friends did on this trip and I’m glad we did it. Mako and Yuki were amazing sushi making teachers, and even though we were late, they were very patient and understanding about our situation. They’re very easy to talk to and great teachers as well! I highly recommend it for anyone that’s looking for an activity in Osaka!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the sushi‑making experience. It was the perfect blend of informative, personable, and delicious. The staff were knowledgeable and explained each step in a way that made the process feel approachable and fun. You can tell they truly love what they do — their kindness and patience created a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we walked in.

Moka and the other entertaining young gentleman told a lot of the history of sushi making and made our experience a delight .The certificate adds a little pizzazz at the end.. We will deliver this experience with us at home and know that this is a valuable opportunity for us. Okini!

Great to learn how to make sushi the Japanese way!! The guides there were marvelous. Don’t miss out on this, lots of fun and the sushi tasted really good - we made 12 pieces each so a full lunch and had Sake tasting at the same time!!

Mako and Aya are brilliant hosts - patient, generous and a great fun. They shared a bit of history about making sushi and happily answered our many questions. Constantly encouraging and guiding us as we went through the process of making our sushi platter. The vegetarians in the group were also delighted with the delicious sushi toppings. We did this activity as the last fun thing-to-do before catching our flight and it was definitely the perfect end to our awesome trip. We left Japan with big smiles and a box full of yummy sushi , thanks to Mako and Aya. Our 11 year old gave this activity a score of 25 out of 10. We had a great experience making sushi as a family. Our hosts explained all the interesting history and local context, the space was clean and welcoming. The sushi tasted (and looked) great!

My husband and I did this on our honeymoon. We both really enjoyed it. I loved that we were the only 2 people in the class. We had such a great time. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about sushi. I would recommend this to anyone going to Osaka.

Super experience learning how to make and eat many types of sushi. Yuka and Yumiko spoke very good English and made it a very fun experience they also included tea and saki tasting. Great fun for all ages.

Me and my friend had a wonderful experience. I would really recommend this class. The people who worked there were really helpful and kind. It was only us and two other people who participated in the class which made the experience feel very close and welcoming.

I ended up being the only person at the sushi making class so it made it even more special! The two instructors couldn’t have been more helpful☺️ We got to have a great chat about sushi, and what life in Japan is really like. I really enjoyed this experience and would definitely recommend to others!

This was a fun and informative activity! And a lot of great food to eat! The staff was very friendly.

It was a great workshop! Our guided gave us a short introduction and to the history of sushi, told us about different kinds of sushi and explained how they are made. It is not as easy as it seems, but with the help of our guides we manged and it was super fun! The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. During the workshop we could have a nice chat and share laughs. And of course the sushi was delicious! I would definitely recommend this workshop!

It was a lot of fun! We 11 members in our family who participated in this. The two young girls were super! Both were good in communication and proficient in English which was good for us. It was such a good experience for the whole family . The youngest member was fourteen years old and even he enjoyed it thoroughly. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!

Scheduled our sushi making class a few months in advance and attended on a Wednesday morning with an experienced instructor. The other participants didn't show, so we had the class to ourselves. Hosted in a nice, small shop, you sit at a 2-top table while instructed step-by-step on how to create negiri and gunkan style sushi (12 pieces per person). I had the vegetarian option, and my husband had the fish option. We both enjoyed our creations very much! You can also orders alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks at an additional cost. Water is included. Would recommend for a fun, authentic, educational experience.

It was an amazing experience. Me and my 10 years old boy came to Japan and we wanted to experience sushi and this was so nice!!! Yumiko and Saki were incredible!

We wanted a legitimate experience for a sushi making class and this was it! It was cool making 3 different types of sushi and the instructors were patient and detailed when explaining how to make each type of sushi. Highly recommend this if you’re in Osaka!

I tried to rate 5 out of 5 but the website don’t allow me! It was a great course as we learnt how to make a variety of sushi. The girls who ran the course were excellent! They were friendly & easy to chat with. Highly recommend!!!!

We took part in this experience on our family trip in Dec 25. We all had a really great time learning not only how to makes sushi but meeting the lovely people who ran the experience, they were super friendly and helpful. If you are in Osaka and are looking for a great family experience, I highly recommend throwing on a white sushi making hat and shirt and having some fun :)

We had the most wonder time at the sushi making experience. Has been our favorite thing we have done on our 10 day trip. We leaned so much from our amazing instructors and they were so sweet and fun to work with. The only thing is that we had a hard time finding the location but nonetheless it was amazing.
