Osaka Nighttime Tour

The evening food tour with our guide Chisa was amazing. She showed us around the District and took us into 3 really good restaurants. Her explanations of the food selected were very helpful. Chisa’s use of the English language was exceptionally. We had a truly memorable experience.

Just finished the Flavours of Osaka evening tour. Fabulous evening. Even though we had been in Japan well over a week this took us to the next level of appreciating Japanese food and culture. We went to genuine food places we would never have known to pick. Our host Kaori was so friendly, informative and happy to answer all our questions. Thoroughly recommend. We couldn't decide on our favourite dish, they were so varied and all so good.

We had a great experience - Kotaro was a super guide with excellent knowledge of the location, food and its origins. The duration of the trip was just right last about 3 hours and the meeting location couldn’t have been easier to find and became an ice breaker for the group.

We met right outside JR Temma station which was easy to find. We were joined by 6 other people so the group was not too large. Akiko was our host and guide and was very informative. We tried 3 different restaurants offering different food styles and all were really good and varied. If you were a vegetarian that was not a problem either as you would have been catered for. My only comment was that it was sometimes difficult to hear what Akiko was saying as the restaurants were quite busy. All in all a great experience and would recommend it.

Ko, our guide, was an extremely knowledgeable and friendly young man. 3 places visited with excellent food. Group mixed well and ensured an excellent night.

We did the Flavourz of Osaka food tour and our tour guide was Miwa. We had an absolutely fantastic evening with Miwa who showed us all the great spots and gave us some good information about the area. One of us was vegetarian and Miwa ensured that we had vegetarian food at each stop. Overall, Miwa was a fantastic tour guide and it was a great food tour eating some fantastic food!

Most enjoyable tour with Mayura Kai in Osaka. First went to supermarket and had various ingredients explained and then 3 restaurants, all serving different food. Mayura was good fun, excellent English and made the evening a real pleasure

Yuan was fantastic! Not only did we eat good food, but also had a wonderful evening of conversation and learned so much about Osaka and Japan. We never felt rushed, and Yuan was so accommodating to everyone’s food preferences. He created a great group environment and he was open to answer any questions we had.

Excellent tour this evening. We visited three places and got a real taste of where the locals go for an evening meal. Our guide Yuan was excellent, very knowledgeable, accommodating, easy to talk with and very friendly. He gave us great insight into the area, the food, how to eat, recommendations. Would highly recommend. The restaurants we went too were really good aswell, good portions and great food. We tried most of different things so come hungry.

Our guide was very informative throughout, really friendly and accommodating to the needs of the group. We had lovely food, very high quality. The shared experience was great. We tried so many foods that we would not have tried without our guide Kai's input. It really was OISHII! The only thing I would change is the meeting point. It was quite difficult to find for some of the group. Other than that no complaints!

Great evening food tour with Kai who was a superb guide. We went to three local restaurants which we would never have found on our own where we had delicious wagyu bbq and other local dishes plus some excellent sake. Highly recommended.

We had an excellent evening with Kaori in Osaka this week! She led our family of four through the back streets and into hidden gems - sampling local specialities, explaining their history and advising on what to drink with them at each stop. She had superb English and a wonderful sense of humour!! Thoroughly recommend🤩

It was really good I didn’t realise you could do so much with miso. Our guide Kaori was brilliant and funny plus she new all about the area and its restaurants so even if you have dietary needs you can still enjoy yourself.

We had an outstanding food tour experience in Osaka with Miwa from Oishii Tour Company, and she was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Japan. We joined this food tour and had 3 stops at different restaurants. Our guide for the evening was Kaori who was amazing. So friendly, knowledgable and a great host for the evening. There were three of us on the tour from our family, including my 21 year old son. We were joined by another couple and we all had a great time. We had Wagyu steak, tempura and okonomiyaki as our three stops. The steak was by far our favourite, but all three were delicious. It was nice to try foods at restaurants that we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own. The fact that our son was full at the end of the trip was a good sign. Overall, a highly recommended tour.

Kaori showed us around Gion in Kyoto. It was fantastic. Great food and a great time. Highly recommend!

Fantastic food tour with Kai who was so friendly and very, very knowledgeable, taking us to various places in Osaka, both restaurants and street food to stop and eat. She is very good company and to be honest she showed us places and suggested food which we wouldn't have done by ourselves. It was very enjoyable, the food and company were excellent and I highly recommend.

Mayura isn’t just any foodie tour guide. She’s a professional chef and knows where all the good places are. We experienced three different, unique and truly local Osaka specialties. First was tempura, then onto a savory pancake and omelette, and lastly melt in your mouth beef. Each course she provided recommendations for a cocktail to pair with the food, and each restaurant was truly a local experience (we were the only tourists). If I could give 7 stars - I would definitely do that , Kaori was excellent , took us to rhree restaurants with different Japanese meals and drinks and finished off with street side dessert, answered all our numerous questions about Japanese food and culture very patiently , we would be lost without her expertise and guidance , well done and thanks , we recommend this tour wholeheartedly

Amazing fun experience with Maura Kai…! We were only in Osaka for one night but made the most of it with an exciting food tour of Temma. It felt more like a night out with a friend…! A supermarket tour to look at ingredients and then 4 places to eat, make sure you leave room. Okonomiyski pancakes, wagyu grill, tempura and chocolate taiyaki all paired with great beer, wine and sake…! Mayura Kai is a chef so brings excellent insight. She speaks great English. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful evening food tour with Lisa. It was about 3 hours (I certainly wasn't counting) and took us to 3 very different restaurants. The food was hot, plentiful and varied from crispy golden fried vegetables - asparagus, yam, mushrooms - to shrimp and beef skewers too. A short walk away we were barbecuing beef on a grill in front of us - couldn't quite do it justice appetite wise but all delicious. Finally we went to a pancake restaurant where a hot plate inset into the table was brought up to temperature by waitresses and another 3 dishes served up. The final one was a sweet one - a matcha crepe filled with a gentle bean paste. Not too chewy. All the while we enjoyed relaxed and easy conversation with Lisa, who was knowledgeable and great company from start to finish. Thank you Lisa.

Mako was a great host and took us to places we would never have discovered in Osaka and explained the different dishes and explained the culture. Had a hugely entertaining evening. Would highly recommend.

What a fantastic food tour, 5 + stars all the way. Kaoiri and Yumi were excellent guides and great company. We went to 3 restaurants and had some wonderful food, bbq wagyu, tempura and okonomiyaki I think😂. Kaoiri was very knowledgeable about Osaka cuisine and we learned a lot from her. It was a nice small group, four in total with two guides. I would definitely recommend this tour. Ger & Caroline

We LOVED Kokoro!! She was an amazing guide through the Temma area of Osaka. She helped us order and showed us around the market. She also ordered some more adventurous foods for us to try which was awesome! She was friendly, curious, knowledgeable and we could tell she really enjoys her work! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Osaka!

One of the best experiences during our trip to Japan. Kokoro was an outstanding host and tour guide. She ordered the most authentic Japanese foods while explaining the difference between Japanese and Western style foods. So fun & would highly recommend!!!

Kaori took my family and me around local restaurants in downtown Osaka, away from the more touristy areas. She was a friendly and informative guide and we had a fun evening, enjoying food with Japanese drinks, which we may not have had the confidence to experience without her guiding us. Kaori adapts the venues and food according to preference and/or dietary requirements. An excellent tour.

We did a food tour with Kaori. What a fantastic experience, kushikatsu, wagyu and okonomiyaki. We had a few drinks as well and a surprise visit to a Karoke Bar where we had a lot of fun with Japanese Business Men singing. Kaori was lovely, gave us a wealth of knowledge not just on food but culture to. Thank you very much for one of the best evenings in Japan
