Absolutely amazing time with Inkuko. She is so sweet and her son Takumi is as well. We made salmon and daishiki rolled omelette. She made everyone feel so comfortable and was an amazing cook. If you want an authentic cooking experience I recommend this place. I wish her lots of success.
Was so much fun. Food was delicious. What a fantastic experience. The hosts were wonderful. I will try this recipe at home.
Fun hands-on experience for the family, and the food was delicious! The hosts were very warm and inviting, and took the time to explain Japanese common phrases surrounding the meal. No language barrier for us English speakers. We highly recommend!
Fantastic time for our whole family! An absolute must do for an authentic, fun & personal experience. Ikuko & her son Takumi are so charming and fun to spend time with! This is a must if you visit Osaka!
Amazing experience! Very patient and knowledgeable. Me and my husband loved this cooking class! If we were staying longer we’d take a few more. Thank you!
It was a great experience. Mrs Ikuko demonstrate and guide the cooking course the and her son Takumi was there as a translater. I had a lot of fun! Thank you so much Mrs Ikuko and Takumi!
This place is a hidden gem! The entire family enjoyed this experience, the food was delicious and filling. Highly recommend this as a stop in Osaka.
Such a great and family friendly experience! Ikuko and Takumi hosted our cooking and matcha making class with so much kindness and care. It felt intimate and authentic. A must do when in Osaka. About 15 min walk from Osaka Castle so we paired those experiences together.
Great food, English friendly and the people are very friendly. Very very fun would recommend any tourist to come the food was amazing !!
The experience was amazing! The woman was super kind and smiling anll the time and took really good care of us! Also they try to speak in English a little bit if you don’t know hoy to speak Japanese. We cooked Okonomiyaki and did a matcha experience. She was very patience and cheered us at all times😊😊. It was an amazing experience. I really recommend it!! It is a great plan if you want to go with friends and have a good time. There are many more experiences to do apart from the Okonomiyaki one!
The whole experience was amazing and very engaging! We made okonomiyaki and had a tea ceremony and both were amazing and so delicious! 🥰 My friends and I had so much fun and the instructions were very easy to follow and remember for the future. The host speaks both Japanese and English which made it easy to follow. Overall i would recommend this to anyone who wants to really submerge themselves in the Japanese culture and cuisine all together! 😜
Our Osaka cooking class with Ikuko and Takeru was one of the most memorable activities of our trip! From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed, and for a second, we forgot we were in a class—it felt like visiting a beloved Japanese aunt who was teaching us her cherished family recipes. Our kids had an absolute blast! They were engaged, excited, and eager to learn, making this a fantastic hands-on experience for the whole family. Seeing their enthusiasm in the kitchen was truly heartwarming, and they left with a newfound love for cooking. Ikuko and Takeru’s hospitality was unmatched. They patiently guided us through each step, shared interesting insights about Japanese cuisine, and made sure we felt at home. The food we made was delicious, but more than that, the experience itself was priceless. If you're visiting Osaka, this cooking class is an absolute must. It’s not just about learning to cook—it's about making unforgettable memories!
What an amazing experience!! It had a lovely homely feel to it and Ikuku and Takeru were both so welcoming. The okonomiyaki was delicious, both types I got to made. Would definitely recommend 👍
The home cooking experience package was INCREDIBLE!!! Our hosts were absolutely beautiful and extremely patient. The food we prepared together was extremely fresh and delicious. The matcha experience after the cooking was a beautiful way to conclude the night. My partner and I cannot recommend this more!!! Definitely worth it ☺️
The best experience I have had across Asia. The host lady is a bundle of joy, wishing to interact as much as possible dispite her limited English -her son was there to help translate. We cooked takoyaki and were guided through each step of the cooking process beautifully, creating the best tasting takoyaki we have ever had. The host lady and her son created a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and we both learnt a lot about cooking and Japanese culture. A definate must do experience.
It was incredibly fun, the lady giving the class is very sweet and her son was a great help translating and was nice to have some good conversations with. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a cooking class in Osaka!
Loved trying the different food and hope to try and applied what I learned at this class especially the salmon miso in the bento course. The matcha was good too.
Great for learning to cook Japanese home meals, that'll be perfect for camping! Highly recommend, as the teacher is very friendly, funny and lovely!
This was a very fun and informative cooking class, one of the highlights of our trip to Japan! Great value for money and our okonomiyaki was delicious!
Our cooking class with Ikuko and Takeru was more than just a culinary experience; it felt like a warm, home-cooked meal shared with friends. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxed, and the duo's easygoing nature made us feel right at home. While the class was informal, the instruction was anything but. Ikuko were incredibly knowledgeable, patiently guiding us through each step of the cooking process. We learned not only about the recipes but also about Japanese culinary techniques and traditions. We also sampled three different types of sake. Knowing the regions where they each come from. The workshop ended with learning to make our own matcha tea and properly enjoy it with the dessert the way the Japanese would do it. If you're looking for a unique and authentic Japanese cooking experience, we highly recommend this class. It's a wonderful way to learn about Japanese cuisine, culture, and sake, all while having a lovely time with Ikuko and Takeru.
Our family took part in an Okonomiyaki cooking class with the lovely host and her two sons and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of our time in Japan. So much fun, so much to eat, and we learnt so much, too. It's a really lovely little cafe, so even if you don't end up doing a cooking class, it's well worth a visit
Super authentic cooking class. Host was so sweet and made sure we were having fun the entire time. Great experience and exactly what we were looking for when we booked.
This session was a lot of fun, and also tasty. The host is very energetic, and her son and his girlfriend are also there to help with English when needed. We were two families with kids between 6 to 17, and everybody loved it. Simple and tasty dishes, easy to follow instructions. Great communication prior, to verify allergies and preferences.
An unforgettable experience! Ikuko and Takeru were very attentive. We were able to prepare two Okonomiiyaki recipes with accompaniments, we feasted! We highly recommend this experience! Arigatou gozaimasu!
We booked an Okonomiyaki cooking class and were warmly welcomed by the owner and her colleague as we stood a bit lost on the road and didn't really know where to go. After we introduced ourselves and put on a chef's apron, we also started preparing the okonomiyaki. Everything was explained and shown to us exactly and also addressed our diet (no meat but fish). It was a wonderful experience. Those who want to practice and try their Japanese and learn about Japanese cuisine are in the right place. Absolutely recommended if you are in Osaka 👍
