Osaka Dotonbori Wonder Cruise

We went on this cruise as it was part of our Have Fun in Kansai pass, which we got for free when booking Universal Studios tickets from Klook. I’m glad it was free because the sightseeing cruise was the least informative one I’ve ever done. It’s more like a nice, little trip down the river to see the area from the water instead. I think we were only told 2 facts. Most of the guide’s interaction involved getting us to shout hello to passing boats. Go in the cruise if it’s free (included in a pass) but definitely don’t pay for it.

The tour itself was good and staff was kind, however there were limited information in English regarding the pick up point, slot reservation and places passed by with the boat.

Fun tour. Well worth taking 20 mins out of your day to do this. Views from the river were great. Guides engaging and lots of great photo opportunities

This was the best way to kick off our time in Osaka. I really enjoyed seeing the city from the boat at night. I also really liked that we could go at anytime because we got to Osaka later than planned.

This was a fun short river boat ride in Osaka for the family. This was an opportunity to look at Osaka in a different viewpoint and to take good pictures of the billboards and landmarks.

We needed to swap ticket from Fri night to Sat night & that was accommodated very well. Cruise was great, short about 20-30 mins but saw all the sights along Dontonbori river. Host was good, blankets provided as was a bit chilly. Able to purchase a couple of drinks for the trip. Recommend this activity 🙌

It was lovely experience, definitely worth it. Only thing it was rushed and the lady was a bit rude to me even though I was showing her my ticket she just shunned me aside, luckily the other guy helped and told her it's fine he saw my ticket and then she allowed me on the boat.

Look it’s a 10 mins ride, plenty of opportunities to take photo. Host is amazing and funny. The boat has a cover on top which hinders from taking photo video whilst you’re sitting inside the boat. You can’t stand.if you’re stuck in the middle aisle you just have to wait for the host to tell you to come up when he stops to take photos. Should be cheaper for this sort of thing.

The crew and staff put a lot of effort in to their job but at the end of the day it's just a 6 or 7 minutes ride up the river a 5 minute stop and back to the drop off point - just walk it.

We had a brilliant time on the night cruise, I would recommend this…. As the city gets very crowded and it can get difficult to get to photos of all the lights! Yes I would do it again. Thank you 🥰

It was worth it. I just with it was a bit longer. They even gave us time to take pictures. They explained everything too

The cruise was ok but hard to find and it was too short. The staff on the boat were fun and helpful.

This ticketing reservation system is horrible. You are better off buying your reservation tickets on the actual website instead of on Trip Advisor. Although the workers seemed nice, they were unaccommodating.

We booked this cruise thinking it would be a nice leisurely cruise up and down the river where we would see lots of things and take lots of photos. It was that, but they only stopped once at the Running Man (for a total of 3 minutes to get everyones photo taken). There were seats lined up on the boat and if you weren't on the left or right you couldn't get nice photos and the top of the boat got in the way of most photos. Walking back afterwards along the water front gave me much better photos and less rushed. Worth the experience, but wouldn't do it again.

The experience was short but memorable Definitely with the price. And we got some great pictures m. Night is better. we took a walk to one of the restaurants at the don Quixote along the river and it was really a nice view when we came out

Tourist trap but nice way to see the hopping nightlife. Location instructions not clear but findable. If you want to have a quick view of the riverside of the area this is an easy option. Staff very friendly

Loved it!! Beautiful scene especially in the evenings..will def do it again...I miss dotonbori !! All the lights were just stunning

Good experience. Meeting point presented in voucher is a bit wrong. Need update. Recommended thing to do especially after dark.

We booked the Osaka Wonder Cruise online and absolutely loved it. The tour guides were really friendly and created a fun atmosphere throughout. While the cruise itself isn’t very long (around 20 minutes), going at night when Dotonbori comes to life with all its lights made it totally worth it. We managed to take some amazing photos and videos, especially in front of the iconic Glico Man. A great way to see Osaka from a different angle — highly recommend!

I would say this is a must do, but I would never pay full price of that makes sense. It’s a 20 minute jaunt up and down the river there but great sights!!

It was fun and exciting! Great music and wonderful cruising down the river watching all the sights and people of Dontonbori. Would recommend.

Great informative guide took us on a fun walking/train tour of Osaka seeing all the famous attractions Osaka has to offer. Guide was great at accommodating,odating attractions for our kids. Lots of fun had!

I enjoyed waving at people walking on the side of the canal. The lights were bright and beautiful. It was nice to get a view of all the shops bars and restaurants.

The ticketing staff is rude and she snatched our phone even after we shown our QR code passes. Poor command of English as well.

Nice sightseeing in the river for a change instead of walking! They gave you chance to take pictures w/ the glico man before finishing the 20 min cruise. Worth it for the price you pay!

Ride was too short and not very special. Cost of ride was relatively high as compared to other tourist entrance fees in Osaka. It would be good if the tour guy can give a bit of background about Dotonbori during the ride in English when majority of the riders were from other countries. Instead, he used Japanese.

We purchased the tickets on the same day we wanted to take cruise, I went to the store and it was closed. Tried to call the owner and nobody picks up the phone. The cancellation plan is a joke it won't refund me. Had to do a credit card dispute on this one. Plus we got a better cruise service with the same price and a narrator.

Rude usher staff, chaos & disorganised boat trip. Stressful with family. Staff sent us to the wrong Que. Buying tickets via Viator is not enough. You have to take proof of purchase to another desk and receive another set of tickets again. So advice is book a time slot during busy periods after purchasing your tickets via Viator. Good 20min trip to get some pictures of the street and lights in. Jack sparrow host was entertaining.

It was ok. I was expecting a longer cruise. Commentary during the cruise would have been a welcome addition to the experience

Nice tour but it's really short time. This tour is mainly to navigate in the river to see city's advertising adds and go back in les than 30mins

This is an essentially worthless cruise that is not enlightening or fun or entertaining. Truly, a waste of time. Even though it is 20 minutes, by the time you board and stand in the line and get on and get your tickets. It is a full hour and 20 minutes. Spend your time elsewhere.

Tourist activity, the price is absolutely not worth the service offered. The navigable stretch of the river is very short. The staff is very nice and helpful.
