Osaka Dotonbori River Cruise With Glico Sign & Neon Lights View

This was a quick and very cute cruise! They make the experience fun and it’s great to do at night for the fantastic views. Highly recommend!

Nice cheap and convenient way to see the lights along the canal without the crowd. Easy to book and easy to find down the quieter end.

The cruise is about 20 min, but there is nothing quite like seeing the strip from the water. Truly worth the cost!

The best experience is at night. The lights were so pretty. The boat was large and comfortable. The guide was very friendly.

We love a short but sweet experience. This was a cheap but great option to cruise down the river in amongst all the atmosphere (also providing a much needed break from the crowds). Great to do at night with all the lights going past the famous Glico sign. All in all just a bit of fun.

I would gladly pay to do this again. Completely unique vantage point that was well worth it as someone who has been to Dotonbori many times.

Very enjoyable boat ride down the main river in dontombori. Make sure to arrive early as we lined up about 20 minutes before departure for a good spot. Also allow yourself some extra time to find the meeting point because it is 5 minute walk from the main part of town.

Was a fun little experience. Short ride down the canal pointing out the sights and waving to passersby.

The crew were very nice, and accommodating. Had enjoyed the evening cruise very much. They were kind enough to have taken our photos to give back to us freely.

Was very excited but sadly cannot recommend as we spent most of the tour under the roof and we asked them to open it they did not. Most of our tour was spent looking at a black roof rather than the sites and views.

Great experience- only feedback is maybe to take the photos faster. We were unlucky in that both photos taken had no neon signs behind it while others got great shots. Staff were amazing

This is just loads of fun. A boat ride through Osaka's neon version of Times Square. The young people hosting had incredible energy and enthusiasm for making sure we all had a good time. It's only a 20 minute round trip, but a great deal at about $12.50 a person. Tons of people in the neighborhood and loads of restaurants, creating an euphoric aroma, inviting you to stay and eat. Go and have a good time.

Disappointed that the listing showed an open boat but the boat actually has bars overhead so it’s impossible to get a clear view of the overhead signage.

Extremely unhappy with the seating. We were placed under a roof at the back of the boat and had very limited visibility. When we contacted the supplier they were very dismissive

The view over the boat was obstructed by a roof grid which is probably used when it rains. I didn’t get seamless photos like I hoped. Disappointing. Not all boats had something over it but ours did. I feel like I need our money back.

We loved this little evening river cruise! It was fantastic to see the lights and sounds along the river while enjoying a Japanese language lesson. Fun, fun, fun! “Ookini”

Horrible scam. Boat that was advertised was very different from the one we got. Our boat had a «cage» around the whole thing, which completely disrupted the views.

Great quick way to see the Dotombori area. Fun boat crews and amazing views. Easy to find via Google Maps.

We went early to ensure good seats, we were 1st in line, a group came and the operator.let the group in 1st so we did not get the seats we wanted.

Boat was the nicest on the river and the music was so fun! Would definitely tell my friends to do this in Osaka!

This boat tour was such a special experience because we could see the beautiful buildings of Osaka and all of their lights during our tour. The staff was friendly, informative, and they took lots of picture for us! It was fun even though we did it in the rain during the typhoon LOL. Highly recommend

Very quick ride but it was fun. Got to pause a bit and look at all the neon signs and also allowed adequate time for taking pictures.

Tina was a very nice lady but too much time was wasted by her taking her car to parking areas. She also took us to the wrong address for a canal cruise although she did manage to get us on a later cruise with the correct one. English not good and she mgave us very little information but mostly answered the questions we ask. We only saw 3 things in 8hours.

We never took this ride. We had to pick up the tickets in Osaka. Directions were given. We went early in the day and spent 2 hours trying to find the place. There was a laundromat at the address given. Many people tried to help us. Why not just email the tickets like everyone else? What a waste of time and $.

We enjoyed this little cruise on the canal. Very warm, friendly & welcoming people.. great informative guide along the way. The neon signs of a night are something to see!! Glad we did it!!!

It’s an interesting journey, but only 20 minutes and you could simply walk along the river sidewalk and see the same sights. The area itself is very nice with many restaurants to choose from. The neon lights are nice, but just as visible when walking.

I really enjoyed this specific river cruise. The girls providing the entertainment were a lot of fun. They also serve free Asahi beer.

Terrible booking in instructions not clear where to check in. Was told if raining would pull roof up but the boat didn’t even have a roof had to ask for seats to be wiped. Very amateur. Couldn’t hear commentary. Photos taken by guides were very poor. Other tours seemed to be having more fun. Would not recommend. Giving it 2 stars because it was cheap.

Take the night tour to see the beautiful and bright lights! They also play good music and sell drinks onboard.

We arrived at the departure location, checked in, and because we had a party of 6 and the boat for our slot was only big enough for 4 they did not allow us on the boat, although we paid. They made us wait in standby line for 5 more parties and did not attempt to seat us on the following boat although we had no control over the size of the boat. The party paid for 6 , we expect 6 to be seated, they didn’t even attempt to correct or make it right. After waiting over an hour we were exhausted with waiting with no resolve and left. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! Would NOT RECOMMEND!

We arrived on time for the boat we originally planned and booked to take, but they would not let us board. Instead, we were told to wait, so we did. What made the situation even worse was watching more than five boats come and go, including the actual boat we were originally supposed to take, and we still were not allowed on. We kept waiting because we were following the instructions we were given, but no one provided us with proper service or a clear explanation. We planned our day in Osaka around this cruise and showed up when we were supposed to. After watching boat after boat leave without us, we never received the experience we paid for. Extremely disappointing service and terrible communication. I would not recommend booking this cruise based on our experience.

The best way to enjoy the neon signs and night sights of Dotonbori. The cruise was on time and the staff great. We had an informative guide, stopped the boat at the most popular sights for more photo opportunities. Perfect for all ages, tip; check the directions and map carefully for meet up place. I contacted them for additional information which they answered quickly. A must do activity in Osaka!
