Atsushi was amazing! He made the tour become more interesting thanks to his enthusiasm! He was able to get us tour translation devices so we could hear the Osaka castle history, for free! 100% recommend

The knowledge and experience of the tour guide cannot be exaggerated. Also- lots of walking. Be prepared.
Kenta was an excellent guide for this tour! If you have the time, a walk through the park itself is a great early morning activity (early October). The entry ticket kiosk is available in multiple languages and easy to navigate (takes card as well). If you are collecting Eli stamps there is a location on floor 2. Kenta gave us a great running story of how Osaka castle came to be and the shogun’s history. He also provides a great explanation of the Shinto shrines and what each area means.
Check the meeting point twice, as mine had 2 places & we went to the wrong one. There are a lot of steps to walk up & down.
Nonobuta was an excellent guide. She provided a lot of history and tied it into the Japanese culture. Her English was excellent and she navigated the crowds with ease - definitely couldn't have done it without her.
A very informative tour on the history of Osaka Castle. We enjoyed our tour guide Shingo and learned alot about the history of Osaka Castle.
Marielle was very nice and knowledgeable, a great tour guide to see such an awesome place and learn it’s history
Pedro welcomed us, a great tour guide.
Pedro was very knowledgeable and gave me facts I would not get if I went on my own to Osaka Castle. I came with questions and he had the answers.
Tour was amazing!!! Our tour guide Marielle was so kind and friendly and just an overall good experience. 100% recommend 😁
Amazing tour! Our tour guide was really helpful and well prepared with his material. He guided us through many spots and we enjoyed the tour very much!
The tour was informative and was over all great. The tour guide was happy to answer questions and kept us on track.
It was a nice experience, I wish they had cherry blossoms but Davis was very nice guy he explained everything during tour. Great vies you can take good pictures too!
Our Tour guide was Hina to Osaka Castle. Very good interaction, lovely personality and bery knowledgable on the history of the Castle. She comes highy recommended.
Marielle was very friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us areas we would have never found without a tour. This tour did not include any Samurai even though it was advertised to.
Pedro was awesome. Very enthusiastic and really enjoys himself while explaining the history of Osaka Castle. We would definitely do another tour with him as the guide.
Our guide was very pleasant and walked us to Osaka Castle and around the grounds. But if your interested in learning about the history of the castle and its occupants, save your money. Very little information about the history of the castle was provided.
Ms Hinata was a very polite, helpful and well-informed guide. So, we enjoyed the tour of the castle. We would recommend her to other travellers too. However, the title of the tour 'Osaka Castle & Samurai Tour: Entry Included Option' is misleading. I booked it at the last minute, while I was in Japan, and assumed it included a Samurai tour, which was more important to us than touring the Osaka castle. However, when we met Ms Hinata at the venue, we were told that the tour included only the castle and no Samurai show.
This was the best tour I've had in a long time. In perfect English, our tour guide told us a lot about the history of Osaka, Osaka Castle, the samurai, and the Shinto religion. He also answered all our questions. I learned a lot and would recommend this tour.
Kats was a wonderful guide. He took us through the castle at a great pace, allowed us to read the exhibits and ask lots of questions, while providing interesting historical facts. I learned so much more than the exhibits alone provided. Our group size was small, and arriving early (0900) meant we missed the crowds.
Amazing tour!!! Would definitely recommend!!! Beautiful walking tour in and around Osaka Castle!!!!!!
We had a fantastic time visiting Osaka Castle. Our tour guide, Hira, was excellent and we highly recommend her to anyone visiting. She showed us around the castle, explained everything clearly in great English, and made the history really engaging. She also shared lots of interesting and fun facts about Osaka and gave us brilliant food recommendations — she even runs food tours! Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended!
Amazing Osaka Castle Experience with a great tour guide. Leo was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great time. Highly recommend.
Shingo Kumagai was our tour guide. He provided good historical perspective of the people that built and fought around the castle. He was informative and helpfully addressed questions. We enjoyed the tour.
For some reason I could not find the location. Google maps was giving me wrong directions. I am glad I called the helpline. I was lucky to meet up with the group and continue the tour. The tour guide Mr Shinga? Was knowledgeable and helpful and it was a very enjoyable walking tour. I am glad I signed up. More importantly I am grateful for the tour operator to follow up and check that I had joined the tour.
We enjoyed spending time with Leo during our visit at osaka castle and the rest of tour he really knows about Japanese culture he had a sense of humor and happy to go with..
We had the absolute pleasure of having Leo guide us through the historical site of Osaka Castle, and he truly made the day unforgettable. From the moment we met him, Leo was incredibly kind and welcoming. His genuine enthusiasm for the history of the castle and the surrounding area was infectious, and he knew how to make every piece of information stick. He wasn't just knowledgeable; he was a master storyteller! He brought the castle's history to life, giving context to everything we saw. What really set Leo apart was his great sense of humor. He effortlessly blended historical facts with genuinely funny anecdotes, ensuring the tour was engaging, light-hearted, and never dry. We were laughing the entire way! If you're visiting Osaka Castle, I highly recommend requesting Leo. He is the perfect blend of kind, funny, and profoundly knowledgeable. Five stars aren't enough—thank you, Leo, for an amazing day!
Very good tour. The guide was on time and it was easy to meet. This tour gave us good understanding of Japanese’s history of the period when the castle was active. The guide was able to answer all our questions and we had very good time. Highly recommended!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and nice to talk to. He provided a lot of historical and cultural insight to the stories he told us. He helped to make our first trip to Osaka memorable. BTW, we went on the tour early in the morning. It turned out to be a great decision.
It was very nice experience having Osaka Castle walking tour with Arigato Gozaiamasu (Leo). He has shown and explained all the top places . Really enjoyed having walking tou
Rodrigo really looked after us and gave a great tour of the Castle and grounds Really recommend this tour is you want to appreciate the history of the area
We had a great time with Leo. He was a nice guide for our tour around Osaka castle. He was fun and energetic.
Our guide Leo was informative and helpful. He explained to us some historical context of the things we were looking at. Was punctual and spoke great English!
Exceptional tour with tons of information about the castle and the empire. The tour involves walking and stairs. Shopping is available if you are looking for souvenirs. The guide is well informed and will adjust to your needs.
Leo was a excellent guide! We enjoyed the tour. It would be nice to have more time at the castle museum, so if you want to explore the museum more, make sure you go back. Garden and shrine were great.
Our guide, Leo, was great! He was very knowledgeable about the history of the castle, guided us through the grounds in clear English, and even made us cute origami souvenirs! I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone!
Rodrigo was so nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking to him about the culture and history of Japan from the perspective of a foreigner. He is originally from Brazil but had devoted his life to humanitarian causes in Africa. He was kind and pleasant to talk to and we learned a lot, not just about the historical sites but also daily life and norms in Japan. Out of the three tour guides we have had on this trip he was able to deliver the most amount of knowledge in a short time and we appreciated the international perspective he provided as he has lived in many countries besides Japan.
Our guide, Rodrigo, was wonderful and flexible with us when we got lost on the way to the meeting place and a bit late. Osaka Castle Tower is imposing and beautiful and the museum is interesting but it’s not a “real” castle with all the rooms- great hall, residence, armory, dungeon - since it was reconstructed in the 1930s. Big crowds today at the end of Golden Week. Buy your castle entry tix online to avoid the big lines. Still, the views from the top deck are great! Worth the visit.
The views are amazing! We took so many photos! The history of the castle is really well presented and very interesting. Highly recommended.
Our guide Raphael did an outstanding job; knowledgeable, patient, fluent in English and a very nice person. The park surrounding the castle is beautiful and we were lucky it was a bright sunny cool day. Be there early! The castle itself is a wonderful reproduction of the original castle. A must for history buffs
I have joined a tripguru tour before and when I see that in Osaka, I booked with them without any hesitation. It’s brilliant as always and I learnt a lot from the tour guide. The guide is like a walking encyclopedia and he can answer all the questions that I asked, from history to culture to food recommendations. The tour lasted around 3 hours and it was a wonderful experience. Definitely value for money.
The tour of the castle was enlightening. If you go through it alone, you're done so quickly, but with the guide's explanation, the history comes alive. He had to maneuver through the crowd but managed it. The two activities afterwards were cancelled due to the heavy rain. The Stonewall building doesn't add much, and the shrine was in the water and was left as agreed. The guide knew a lot to tell.
We had a wonderful tour with our guide Naoki. He told us a lot about the history of the castle, the Shinto shrine, and gave us a small insight into Shintoism. Everything was very exciting! With his help, we have photos from the most beautiful hotspots. He made us even more enthusiastic about Japanese culture than we already were before.
We were very pleased with our guide, Leo. He did not overload us with information and could answer all our questions. Leo is very friendly, good-humored, accommodating and experienced.
