I was the only one who had booked for my time slot but it ended up becoming a really cool tailored experience! I did feel a bit bad but Yuki-san was great! He explained everything really well and curated the sakes based on our conversation. Im actually going for my wset level 2 and im not sure i would have gotten to try some of the sakes I did if I was in a bigger group. The food pairings were fantastic as well! Highly recommend this activity! Thank you, Yuki-san, for a wonderful tasting experience and great conversation!

A beautiful way to discover Japanese culture We were looking for something different from the usual tourist activities in Osaka, and this was exactly what we wanted! It's not just about drinking sake. You learn about Japanese traditions, the brewing process, and how much history and craftsmanship can be found in a single glass. We especially loved how Yuki explained everything through stories rather than boring technical information. You can really feel his passion for sake and Japan. Such a lovely experience, and definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
This was an exceptional tasting! The venue is beautiful aesthetically and the owner has a lot of knowledge to give. They have 100s of sake of which we tasted 7-8 with appetizers. We learned about the brewing process and how to distinguish flavour in the various sake we tasted. There are a lot of sake tours that will take you to sake bars to drink sake and get drunk but you won’t learn anything about it and the quality of the sake they will give you would not be good. This is a better more relaxed way to learn and drink in one stunning location
Very knowledgeable and approachable sake tasting. A nice pairing with great and understandable explanations.
This experience was great. Yuki gave a lot on interesting information about sake. He was also really knowledgeable and answered any questions we had.
The bar was beautiful, in a great location, and very comfortable. Yuki, our host, was very knowledgeable about sake, and walked through an extensive tasting with us. We walked away with a greater point of view on our preferences. It was a good experience overall!
Amazing experience, such a cool space, knowledgable guide and lovely sake.
It was a 10/10 experience that was incredibly thought throught. It was really interesting hearing a breakdown of the making process for sake. All the different sake we tasted were also very delicious. Our guide was made the experience even better by being very kind and easy to talk to. Highly recommend this experience
Yuki was an incredible guide to the world of Sake. The sake was amazing, we definitely don’t get sake like this back in the states!
Whether you know little or nothing about Japanese sake, it's an experience worth having. The setting is friendly and discovering good products is done in a relaxed atmosphere.
What a wonderful experience! Yuki was a fantastic host, speaks great English, and demonstrates his knowledge of the sake craft with grace and laughter. We drank delicious sake, had a few tasty bites, and left with a much better working knowledge of sake. Price was quite reasonable for a HEALTHY amount of sake, matching snacks, and Yuki’s knowledge. The bar space is gorgeous, designed and purpose-built by Yuki and his father.
Yuki was a genuinely brilliant host, taking us through a number of different varieties of sake, and walking us through the process of production. I could not recommend this more.
This sake tasting was an amazing experience. Super informative, educational, and we tried a bunch of high quality sakes. The bar is beautiful and Yuki is super knowledgeable. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting a unique experience in Osaka.
Fun experience. Yuki was able to answer all questions and made the tasting enjoyable. Would comeback next time I’m in town.
Yuki is excellent - we got lost on the subway getting there, and he was gracious and helpful helping us find his location. Very good communication- his English is great. Upscale clean lovely environment for the tasting. We learned so much about the history and different styles sake. And the brewing methods. He even shared a vintage sake which was incredibly different than the fresh. This is a fun & educational experience. Highly recommend.
The sake tasting and workshop took us on a really fun and eye-opening 2-hour journey. Our instructor, Yuki, was calm, super knowledgeable, and spoke great English. We asked a ton of questions, tasted a lot, had fun, got surprised, and probably challenged Yuki quite a bit—but he handled everything like a pro every time :) It was a really unique experience for Osaka and showed us just how big and fascinating the world of sake actually is—way beyond what we knew before.
Incredible experience! Yuki is a tremendous human being and host! The atmosphere of the place makes you feel really welcomed and trying the different Sakes is a really nice way to enjoy the evening! I’ll definitely try it again next time I’m back in Japan!
If you are looking for a sake tasting that is not only fun but also very informative, this is a must do with Yuki. We were fortunate enough to learn from him and get to taste some amazing sake in the confines of a beautiful tasting room. His knowledge and passion are truly something else. Thank you again!
It was a very cool and classy place and my experience was memorable and lovely! The drinks were so good as well! I would love to get back there and meet Yuuki again as soon as I go to Osaka!
The sake tasting experience was really nice, even though I had never tried it before. Yuki let us try three different kinds and explained everything — it was really great. Arigatò Yuki, highly recommended.
Had a great time tasting Sake at this place, the lineup and explanation is just perfect and informative! I was also amazed by their home made food too! Will be back next time when I’m in town! 很不错的一次体验,祝老板和小店做得也越来越好!
Yuki-san is very knowledgeable and a wonderful host. Very fun to talk to in a distinct restaurant dripping with atmosphere. His sakes on offer were top notch and help a beginner like myself start into appreciating it. Highly recommended!
Was incredibly fortunate to visit Potan for a sake pairing session. The owner is wonderful host and talked each of us through the different types of sake, as well as the delicious paired food dishes. It’s a must-visit. If you’re a sake lover like me, you’ll be in your element. If you’ve never tasted sake for, you’ll be a convert. I’ve travelled to Japan a lot so I often get asked for itinerary ideas. Potan has made the list for any of my friends visiting Osaka. The venue would be great for a date night or a larger group experience.
This is an experience you rarely get the chance to have. Learning about sake directly from an owner who once worked as a sake brewer made this truly special. It was an incredible experience—both educational and enjoyable—and one of the highlights of my time in Japan. Thank you so much, Yuki, for such an unforgettable experience!
I’ve always loved Japan, so discovering this experience on my very first trip to the country made it even more special. Yuki is humorous, deeply knowledgeable about sake, and guides you into the fascinating world of sake in a way that’s both fun and engaging. Learning about the history, regional character, and differences in flavor was incredibly interesting, and it left me truly impressed by the depth of Japan’s traditional craftsmanship. At the end, he even gave us a sake profile sheet, which means I’ll be able to order sake with confidence from now on! Thank you for such an amazing experience, Yuki. I’ll definitely come back to see you again!
Yuki was an incredibly unique and memorable guide! The sake lecture, the lineup of sake we tasted, the explanations, and above all, the atmosphere of the space were absolutely amazing. I was especially surprised by atsukan (warm sake) — I never imagined that simply changing the temperature could alter the flavor so dramatically. Yuki also taught us how to recognize good-quality sake, which will definitely be useful the next time I order or buy sake. I can confidently and wholeheartedly recommend this experience. You won’t regret it — I promise! (Seriously 😄)
This was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Both the sake itself and the explanations from the guide — a former sake brewer — were outstanding. If you come to Osaka, this is an absolute must-do experience. Don’t miss it — seriously!
I went with my aunt. Yuki was a fabulous host and the atmosphere was super chill and welcoming! We got to try many different kinds of Sake and the pairings were wonderful. Highly reccomend if you wanna try something a little bit different and you're an alcohol/sake lover.
A perfect experience: the tasting was varied, in a calm and lovely setting, and we were lucky enough to have Yuki, our server, who answered our many questions, always with a smile! I'm French, my wife is Italian, and we really wanted to discover sake because it's an alcoholic beverage we know very little about: thanks to Yuki, we were able to taste some delicious products, so I highly recommend it!
Wonderful experience! Highly recommended! Yuki is an active sake brewer and incredibly knowledgeable. He explains everything from how sake is made to its flavors and regional differences in a clear and engaging way. The staffs are super helpful too! Every sake we tried was unique, and the experience really showed how deep and fascinating sake can be. Love every side dish it provided! Tofu dessert is the most impressive!
This experience was truly one of the highlights of my time in Japan. Yuki, the owner and host, guided us through the world of sake in a way that was engaging, easy to understand, and full of personality. His English was great, and his explanations felt especially authentic because he is still actively involved in sake brewing. Through the tasting, I learned how dramatically sake can differ in flavor, and how even changing the serving temperature can completely transform the taste of the same sake. More than just a tasting, this experience offered a deeper understanding of sake and Japanese culture- the whole reason for my visit to Japan! Yuki make sure that everything was thoughtfully curated, and I left with a new appreciation for how complex and fascinating sake truly is. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Japan — whether you’re new to sake or already a fan.
Yuki, the host, isn’t just a sake bar owner, he’s also an active sake brewer with real brewery experience. His explanations were super clear and easy to follow, even for someone like me who’s not very familiar about sake. The tasting taught me about flavor differences, how temperature changes affect it, and the philosophy behind sake. It honestly made me think how sake is way more interesting than I thought. He also answered every question thoughtfully, and the experience went beyond tasting, it also gave great insight into Japanese regions, culture, and the stories behind them. Yuki was such a cool and friendly host. Thank you! I’d definitely come back and bring friends next time. Kanpai! 🍶
I found this offer after looking a few times at different Sake tastings in Osaka and was super happy with the experience. My colleague and I had done a tasting the day before, but we weren't able to really learn about Sake at that time. Yuki is very knowledgeable about the brewing process and proudly shared based on the questions we asked throughout the experience. The sake we tasted was across the spectrum of styles and also even temperature so we could understand how heat impacts the drink. The space where he hosted us was beautiful and seemed authentically Japanese which is a big plus. I would highly recommend this experience!
We had a wonderful evening at a sake bar. Yuki, the brewmaster, was able to tell us many interesting details about sake in a very knowledgeable and entertaining way. We tasted different sakes, also at different temperatures. The tasting was accompanied by 3 very delicious appetizers.
For the first time in Japan, I had the pleasure of participating in the event, thanks to the warm and friendly staff, the wine was excellent and I learned some things about sake making.
It's a perfectly atmospheric bar. The staff was kind, and it was nice to learn about Elson Saker. Next time you go to Osaka, I'd like to visit again :)
