We wanted a night out of unique restaurants and bars with a local to show us some different places. It was way more adventurous than what we were expecting! Pretty inexpensive for everything you get. Best for couples or a guys trip who want to see a more gritty side of Osaka. Highly recommend for something off the beaten path and away from the chaos of Dotonbori.

We had a great time on our food tour with Jamie! She took us to areas of Osaka we definitely wouldn’t have found or explored on our own, which was one of our favorite parts of the tour. She was also really good at figuring out what kinds of food we liked and helping us branch out and try some new things without pushing us too far out of our comfort zone. It was really cool getting to see a more local side of Osaka and get a feel for how people actually live and eat there. We had a ton of fun and would definitely recommend Jamie!
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience with Jamie! Jamie was laid-back, yet engaging, and extremely knowledgeable about the Osaka food scene. The food presented to us was delicious, even the secret/surprise treat. Jamie, my boyfriend, and I were having a blast and Jamie hung out with us after the allotted time and we ended up singing via karaoke. Thank you Jamie for making our last night in Japan so enjoyable.
Jamie’s tour was incredible. We felt so lucky to be able to see a side of Osaka we never would have had access to or knowledge of without this tour. We’re not super into “sight seeing” as such, and this was the perfect tour for us. Jamie has an awesome mix of historical & local knowledge, and importantly - she’s a great hang. 😊 Thank you Jamie, this tour was the highlight of Osaka for us! 🙏✨
This is a very hidden tour of places we would never ventured to without our expert local guide. We had the most delicious buta kimchi in the tiniest, most humble place and it was just a wonderful experience. Plus we learned so much about the history of Osaka and enjoyed great bites at two more eateries.
Jamie was a delight. She was knowledgeable and very passionate about both Japanese food and Osaka. It was clear that this is her community. Her food and drink choices let us try some new things, which we are always up for. We loved that this tour was in a different part of Osaka than most of the tourist attractions. I highly recommend doing a food tour with Jamie.
Highly recommend this tour, as a small group you get to access places you normally wouldn’t, the locals are very friendly and welcoming and Jaime has a wealth of knowledge about the area.
Great tour, especially if you're looking for something off the beaten track. Tour guide Jamie feels passionately about the Nishinari neighborhood, its history and diversity and that enthusiasm is infectious. She took me to several extremely authentic Izakaya for delicious dishes that you won't find at Dotonburi. Come hungry and don't make any dinner reservations for afterwards. Highly recommended!
Jamie immediately made us feel comfortable and made us laugh with her anecdotes about the neighborhood where she lives. I’m not a native English speaker, but Jamie speaks with a very clear and easy-to-understand accent, so I was able to understand everything! She is very knowledgeable about Japanese culture, history, and everyday life. She also knows many local shops run by Japanese people. I had a lot of fun and made friends, thank you!
Jamie’s tour takes you to deep local spots that even the locals rarely visit. She knows the history of the area better than I do, and all the restaurants we went to were amazing. Thank you so much Jamie! I’ll definitely recommend your tour to my friends when they visit Osaka.
I had the honor of going on a tour with Jamie recently, and it was such an incredible experience. Having lived in Japan for 10 years, I thought I knew Osaka pretty well — but the amount of history, culture, and local knowledge Jamie shared completely blew my mind. If you want to experience the real Osaka — beyond the usual tourist spots like Namba and Dotonbori — I can’t recommend Jamie’s tour enough. You’ll be transported into a different side of the city, learn so much about what makes Osaka unique, and enjoy some truly authentic (and seriously delicious) local food along the way. 🍢✨
This foodie journey did not disappoint! Jaymie was a great guide showiing a little history of the area which was so informative, seeing graffiti artist works good food and history. Hands down a must try adventure.
A good mix of history, culture, food and local tips. Interactions were genuine, after a while we didn’t feel too out of place. This was thanks to our wonderful guide, who was calm, attentive, and helped us relax so we could be open to these experiences. Well paced, not hurried, and great photo opportunities for street art and urban settings. Would definitely recommend.
Jamie provided a comprehensive experience of Osaka's contemporary culture and lifestyle while explaining modern Osaka's link to its past. The tour felt very 'real' as we wandered through old parts of the city, took the subway to shrines and temples and experienced traditional foods and shopping streets. Jamie is an excellent guide. She is thoughtful of the needs of the group and took time to chat with all participants. She was very knowledgeable about Osaka, a place she calls home.
I had the amazing opportunity to join a tour with Jam Leopard and had an amazing time. I definitely felt like I wouldn’t have found these places or learned what I did had I not gone on this tour! Our tour guide was well informed and patiently answered my many questions. If you’re looking for something special you should definitely book with them!
You must go now! One of the most fun tours I’ve ever been on! Jamie is very cool, she knows the coolest places to go and see that will give you great memories and stories. This tour was one of the best highlights of my trip to Osaka, really glad I booked and saw things I might have missed otherwise. Don’t miss out, highly recommend! I still smile and laugh about it all the time. Thank you Jamie!
I’ve visited Japan many times, Jamie has shown me around places I didn’t know existed. She has great local knowledge and has always surprised me with an ‘out of the box’ experience. It was good to mingle with the locals, to eat and drink at unique places. A most enjoyable tour.
Jamie has a fantastic way of finding really unique places to show you that most tourists wouldn’t get to see! She has really immersed herself into learning everything she can about the Japanese culture. She is very friendly, warm and knowledgeable and I can’t wait to get back to Japan to see what other treats she has found.
Jamie is very nice guide. We went local Nishinari history place and food tour!! Food was delicious. Jamie is Osaka No.1 guide.
Are you the kind of person who harbors a daydream of visiting someplace new and exotic, and then stumbling out of your hotel in the morning to embark on a whimsical stroll in which you serendipitously discover ultra-local delights hiding in plain sight? But are you also the kind of person whose travel reality usually devolves into ending up exhausted, dehydrated, and starving on some random side-street wondering where the nearest toilet might possibly be? Oh, and also your phone is almost dead? Ok, then this tour is for you. The tour route Jamie took us on was a real slice-of-life look at a lesser-visited part of Osaka City. The route frequently took us to points of historical importance that are becoming harder to find on newer maps. Jamie was discreet and respectful of the neighborhood and local residents while telling us about some of the socioeconomic and cultural issues unique to the area, and she spoke with the knowledge and care of someone who loves the neighborhood that she calls home. The food was definitely a highlight of the tour. Jamie knows all the good spots to eat, so you get to try delicious, authentic, every-day dishes, right alongside the local residents (who may or may not break out the random karaoke microphone mid-meal). Jamie took care of all the ordering, which just made everything a lot more carefree and fun (oh, and she also knows where the toilets are 😉). Other cool stops along the way included some notable graffiti walls, and a(n extremely) retro video game arcade. I really appreciated the laid-back pace of the tour. Even though we saw and did a lot, I never felt rushed or tired, which is saying a lot because our tour was on a really hot day. And of course, there were lots of vibey photo opportunities, if that's your thing. I highly recommend this tour, and Jamie as a tour guide in general. She is personable, professional, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun 😊
