Our tour was led by Heli and it was really enjoyable. The pace was good and her ability to switch up between English and Spanish so fluently was impressive. She was very knowledgable and friendly and there was enough free time to explore on our own. Also special thanks to our driver Kitta-san who got us everywhere on time, safely, and was very friendly.
Took the bullet train from Osaka to Hiroshima, directions were easy to follow, once in Hiroshima we found our tour bus, it was a great experience having to go Miyajima and Hiroshima… would definitely recommend doing this tour!! Sooo much history.
;It was a very special experience. Our tour guide was extremely attentive and made sure we were able to join the group smoothly, even though we were unable to start the tour with everyone else. The tour included all the necessary elements to make it a well-organized and enjoyable experience. We truly appreciated the guide’s attention and support throughout the tour. Both the spots were top quality. Shimosan and Heli were excellent driver/guide combo. Heli provided good information.
We found the most enjoyable part of the trip was the visit to Miyajima on the ferry,Temple, deer, great food, beautiful location. The Hiroshima peace park was very good and the museum very packed with people abd very sobering. We found getting to the bullet train a little difficult but managed it in the end.Cesar was very good having a mixed group of Spanish and an english speaking group and having to go from one language to the other constantly. He was very efficient and informative.
This tour was great! Our guide was Alejandro and our bus driver was Ito-san, and they both did a great job. The itinerary is also great. There was so much to do and see in Miyajima, and I think everyone should visit the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. An incredible day--highly recommend!
Well paced. We had enought time to explore the island then also the various exhibits of the Hirosima Memorial Site.
Is a wonderful experience to see Hiroshima and feel the solace and sorrow. Ellie made this an exceptional experience
Alex is an excellent tour guide and provided information seamlessly in Spanish and English. He is a kind person and great with timing. Eo was also an excellent bus driver and also very kind. We learned a lot on this tour.
My wife and I had a wonderful time on this excursion from getting to see the awesome beauty of miyakojima, majestic deer and the striking torii gate in the sea. And finished the day off with a place i think every human on earth should visit once in their lifetime hiroshimas peace park to see and feel the somber and heavy but also hopeful message of peace for the future.
A great day spent visiting Hiroshima and also the Atomic Bomb Memorial. Amigo Tours did a nice job with our bullet train tickets and our tour guide Angeles was phenomenal. A very knowledgeable person and managed both Spanish and English during the tour. Angeles also ensured to bring an empathetic approach to her description of the Atomic Bomb Memorial which is important given the many viewpoints of what happened. Truly a day well spent and be prepared to walk.
First stop is Miyajima Island. Plenty of time to walk around, shopping and get something to eat. second part of tour is Hiroshima Peace Memorial. plenty of time to walk around park and go inside the museum. Tour guide was Angeles. Gave good facts about each location. Communicated well about meeting points and times.
great tour guide and sites to visit. recommend for everyone. george is great speaker informer. bus very nice.
We went to 2 places in one day. Very well planned. Beautiful places and full of history. Our guide Cesar and our bus guide Shimonoe were very professional.
Excellent tour guide Angeles, very informative in English and Spanish, great experience and highly recommended it.
A good trip. If you have limited time this tour is perfect to see Miyajima island and the Hiroshima Atomic bomb Dome. A really beautiful place. The tour starts at 10.00 AM in Hiroshima. You can join the tour travelling from Osaka in the speed train.
Amazing experience.. our guide Cesar was amazing and the driver was good aswell. Time was well maintained and beautiful day spent in a unesco heritage
Was ok tour. Tour guide Angeles was average. Only 2 places covered. Not really interesting. Charge higher rate then scheduled
Alex and Kita provided us a wonderful day of experiencing Hiroshima, both the beauty of the shrine and the somber reflection of Hiroshima’s past. Highly recommended!!!!
Everything was good the only negative was the price I was charged for 2 people $937 is definitely not worth that much. Not even lunch included. Disappointed in Viator and confused. Be careful when you book!
We had a very pleasant experience and we enjoyed the tour would recommend it to others tour guide was very knowledgeable
Must do tour while in Japan. Long day but easy with the help of our guide Ceasar. He was very informative and kind.
I expected a fully English guided tour, but we had a guide who spoke more Portuguese than English. Sometimes, I missed important information because tour was more Portuguese.
Let’s start with the negatives, we did not get our tickets until 12hours before the bullet train, but that was the only bad thing. Jorge our guide was absolutely amazing, insightful, intelligent and personable. The information he provided for both sites plus life as a Japanese man was very useful, he gave history and then stories on how that history was forged, Ok and for the trip, Miyajima And the floating Tori gate was great, The shrines and temples, and the food all great. Hiroshima and peace park, Jorge had so much historical knowledge and really opened my eyes, Overall for anyone who is interested In Hiroshima book this tour but ask for Jorge.
Very long day and lots of walking but a perfect blend of information and free time. Alex was wonderful and so informative about the different places including best restaurants and tourist stuff. Gave good suggestions and gave us the right amount of free time with suggestions of things to do.
I would not recommend this tour or Amigo tours for the people who request English speaking guide as I thought majority of the history- instructions and other small talks were in Spanish. I booked tour with English speaking guide and our guide was explaining in English as well but majority of explaining was in Spanish FIRST as English was used as 2nd language - explanations were very short in English (min or two long only) compared to Spanish. Another drawback of the tour was - even though peace memorial museum admission was not included which we knew and there are long lines to purchase the tickets, separate long lines to go inside the museum. Tickets were sold out by the time we found out and we reached at the museum. I wish we were told in advance about tickets sells out and you can’t get it if you are going in a tour as you have limited time at the site. We are coming as a visitor and will not come back at this site again- I wish we had better experience after spending so much money. Our tour guide Alex tried his best to explain things in English but I wish the guided tour was in English as a primary language instead of Spanish.
Angeles was very knowledgeable and made sure that we had everything we needed. She ensured we all got in the bus and knew exactly where to go
Great explanation, professional driver. Quick and smooth process of the tour schedule. Following the original schedule.
This was by far the most informative tour my Husband and I have been on yet. If you’re a person who appreciates history and cultural I would recommend booking this tour. Our tour guide Cesar was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Japan and you can tell he enjoys it. There was so much passion in his words we felt every lesson. The bus we drove on was so big and cozy. The bus driver Oe-San so very friendly and professional. My only recommendation would be to spend more time at Hiroshima and maybe add the castle on the trip. Other than that we have no complaints. If you’re looking for a great tour whose tour guide is patient, funny, knowledgeable and is accommodating to everyone’s walking limitations. Then book with Amigo tours and make sure you get Cesar as your guide.
Unfortunately at the last minute we were advised that a digital ticket was unavailable for our Bullet Train departure meaning we had the added stress of meeting a representative in front of a random cafe at the Shin-Osaka station prior to departure. We felt that there was a significant imbalance in the scheduling of activities on the day. For reasons unknown we spent 4hrs on Miyajima Island which was seemed excessive and only left 1hr 20mins at the Museum in Hiroshima. Complete waste of time as every other tour company was there at the same time. After lining up to purchase tickets we were then crammed in with hundreds of others leaving us unable to move about freely and unable to see any of the exhibits. So disappointing! Had we known this would be the timing breakdown we would not have undertaken this tour. Whilst the guide was friendly, unfortunately he wasn’t overly informative.
My wife's and I recent trip to Miyajima Island & Hiroshima was very educational and humbling. While in Miyajima we were able to see the iconic Itsukushima Shrine with its floating torii gate. While walking through the Island we were able to experience all sorts of local foods and some fresh oysters. The deer roaming around freely added another level of enjoyment to our experience. Next we visted Hiroshima which include visiting Peace Memorial Park & Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. This tour was very humbling for me as well as eye opening as I really never knew the lasting affect of that Atomic
Super interesting, Jorge and Mirayama are the best I explained all the doubts and more, it's worth it
