We had a great day saw some great things. Seeing so many hawks in the wild was amazing and so was the fishing village. The only thing was it was a long bus ride to and from Osaka.

Itinerary
Meeting time and point: 8:40am at Osaka 9:50am at Kyoto Our journey begins with a comfortable ride to Amanohashidate, one of Japan's top three scenic views. This stunning 3.6 km sandbar is adorned with 8,000 pine trees and surrounded by the serene Japan Sea and Amanohashidate Bay. The name “Amanohashidate” means Heaven's Bridge, and you'll see why as you take in the breathtaking landscape. Don't miss the chance to ride the cable car up Mt. Monju for a spectacular view from the observation deck (optional, cost 1000JPY). From here, Amanohashidate looks like a dragon soaring into the sky, earning it the nickname “View of the Flying Dragon.” Perfect for a jaw-dropping photo op!
Visit Chionji Temple, renowned for academic success. Check out the impressive temple gate and try the unique fan-shaped omikuji (fortune-telling paper). For a bit of fun, watch the revolving bridge that connects Amanohashidate and Bussharado rotate to let large ships pass. Amanohashidate Onsen – Chie-no-Yu: Soak in the rejuvenating hot springs known for their skin-enhancing properties. Foot baths are free, while entry to the onsen is 700 JPY (not included).
Ine Village, recognized as one of Japan's 18 most beautiful villages by the Japanese, is home to the country's unique waterfront "funaya" houses. Here, you can experience the untouched natural scenery that is unlike typical tourist destinations. The funaya, with over 230 houses, stretch along the 5-kilometer southern coast of Ine Bay. To this day, people continue to coexist with the sea that lies right before them. The village is a serene fishing community, far from the hustle and bustle, where you can immerse yourself in the natural beauty unique to Ine Town—the crystal-clear sea, deep green mountains, rapidly changing sky, and the iconic colors of the funaya houses, all of which create an unspoiled and authentic atmosphere. Stroll around, rent a bike, or even feed seagulls by boat while soaking in the picturesque coastal scenery.(the ticket for boat is 1200JPY is not included) Around 15:30pm, Get back to the drop off location Kyoto(Around 18:00pm)- Osaka(around 19:00pm)

Value for money. Get this tour if you want transport to and from Amanonhashidate and Ine. If you want something more informative then go elsewhere. The guide blabbed on and on in other languages other than english. Didnt give any information on where we were going or the places we visited. So important to the guide to sell lunches to the passenger for cash. We used our translator to listen to what the guide was saying in chinese, there was a lot more information being given to those passengers than in english. Chinese guests were laughing and carrying on while all the english speakers only got meeting times and where to go to the toilet. The guide didnt introduce the driver to anyone. The guide just sat down for the 2.5hr drive and hardly spoke. Disappointed by the lack of service from the guide.
We had an unforgettable day exploring Amanohashidate and Ine Funaya. The scenery throughout the entire trip was absolutely great. Due to bad weather, the sightseeing boat ride was canceled, but that didn't ruin the experience at all. Instead, we explored the village on foot and got to visit a traditional boathouse, where we actually sat right underneath the house where the boats dock. It was incredible to see up close! The village is incredibly charming, with plenty of small shops, local restaurants, and cozy cafes to explore. It felt peaceful and very authentic. Even with less-than-perfect weather, this tour is completely worth it for the unique views and history!
The day was lovely unfortunately we missed the massage part due to lack of time Our guide spoke three languages so everything was said three times, very quickly and was hard to understand when speaking English but he was lovely and when asked on a one on one conversation and he was speaking slower we could understand him You would struggle to get to these places on your own so well worth it
If you love nature, calm atmospheres and aren’t afraid of a little bird poop this tour is for you! In all seriousness, this was an incredible trip to Amanohashidate and Ine, well worth your time and money. Despite the rain the view from the top of the mountain and chairlift ride were spectacular! The weather was up in the air so I suggest bringing a raincoat unless the sun is 100% confirmed and snacks, we didn’t return to Kyoto until after 7 pm, Osaka even later. Thank you Vivi for being an organized, thoughtful and kind guide!
It was a great tour; we saw some beautiful places. My favorite part was traveling across the lake by boat and feeding the seagulls. I really enjoyed all the places we visited, and our guide, Vivi, was very patient and provided us with a lot of information about the locations we saw.
Fairly long bus trip, a road closure didnt help. We enjoyed the trip and would not have visited if we had needed to travel nd booked stays, so was worth the effort. buses very comfortable and guide was great (Vivi) and gave us some extra time to try and make up for delays(completely out of their control) We enjoyed the trip and the sights and would not have had the experience without doing this tour
This was by far one of the worst tours I have taken in Japan. I would not use this tour operator ever again in the future. The tour guide was also very much below standards. The mini bus we were in was so cramped that anyone above 5feet 2 inches would not fit comfortably. And the drive was almost 3 hrs each way. Imagine the nightmare! The tour guide himself was absolutely the worst we have had so far. He gave us no information about any of the places we visited. I think he was asleep most of the time during the journey. Or so it seemed. The places themselves were beautiful and I would definitely recommend Amanohashidate. It was gorgeous and super pretty. The ine houseboat area was also good but other than the boat ride there wasn’t much to do there. The time spent could have been cut down. The boat ride and feeding the gulls was good. Take the trip but don’t use gogoday as ur tour operator
A truly wonderful and great experience
Fantastic daily trip with a wonderful guide. The scene is extraordinary after visited many shrines in Kyoto and Osaka. The guide is fantastic as well, she had introduced the culture of Osaka and Kyoto and values of souvenirs.
There were too many people on the tour. The guide spent his time telling us where to meet, how many minutes we had.. He spoke in three languages and his English was hard to understand. It was a long day of listening to three languages with no time for any history or information on where we were. I think it was very rushed as well. Guide slept on the way back!
What a beautiful day visiting in an area near Kyoto! Here is where you will see many of the things that have inspired Japanese art, and poetry! Our excellent guide Jay brought all of the areas we visited to life with his humor and attention to detail, attending to all the people on the bus. If you’re looking to see nature and small-town Japan, this is a great tour to take!
Tour is very interesting and local guide Jay is the highlight of the whole tour. Hope to see him on my next trip
We loved the trip and definitely recommend it. Amanohashidate is among the top three most famous and beautiful sea sceneries in Japan (the other two are in Miyajima, which I have visited, and Matsushima Bay). The cost of 1,000 yen to go up to the Hiryu Observatory is absolutely worth it if you want to see the beauty of Amanohashidate. Getting down from the observatory can take up to 20 minutes because of the crowd, therefore, one must manage time carefully in order to be able to visit the temple and the village in the area within the allocated time. At the next stop, we were charmed by the Ine Funaya boat houses and Bay. The Ine Bay cruise is quite a unique experience because of the interactions with the seagulls and the view of the boat houses from the water. Minor thing : when feeding the seagulls, my finger was scratched or bitten, probably by an eagle according to the people there. As far as I know, that happened only to me on the whole boat. We terminated the trip by visiting the well-preserved Miyama village. For us, the trip started at 8:30 am in Osaka and ended at around 7:30 pm, later than planned time mainly because of delays by some participants to get back to the bus at different visit points,
This guide change a meeting location from Osaka station to something different after arriving via Shin-Osaka to Osaka station, so I thought??? But according to my taxi going to another area entirely. Now, this is my first time in Japan and to not wait 20 minutes is not acceptable, so yes, I want my money back!
Beautiful places and a well-organized tour! Everything was smooth and enjoyable, and we had a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
We had a great time in Amanohashidate and Ine. Truly wonderful places and very different from the urban landscape of Kyoto and Tokyo. Our guide Jay was amazing! He was there to direct us every step of the way, and the whole bus would laugh at his jokes!
We had jay as our tour guide. Very nice and friendly. Very hot in early September. If you have mobility problems or heart conditions, I would reconsider during this time of year. Other than that, the sites were wonderful! Everything was amazing!
Our tour leader was Jay who was great with verbal communication (in multiple languages) and also sending whatsapp messages to confirm timelines. The bus driver was great with a very comfortable ride. The day was overcast which helped to keep the temperature down. The chairlift was great to get a good view of Amanohashidate. The boat trip was a great way to see the quaint fishing villages in Ine Bay.
Our tour was great the locations beautiful with the cable chair ride and ferry ride a highlight , so many eagles in one spot amazing. Our guide was hard to understand though but funny at times Thankyou
It was way too long to wait in the heat between sites. The last one for an hour to get coffee at one coffee shop in 36c heat only place to wait was in crowded information shop with only 6 seats not good did a tour day before much better I usually use Viator but will think again
Great experience and Jay was funny and very informative. The lunch provided was excellent! The chairlift was an amazing experience, I am normally scared of heights but I was not scared at all.
This was a fun tour and our girls loved dipping their toes into the beautiful ocean at the sandbar. Our guide was helpful and had a great sense of humor. Scenic drive, beautiful stops. Only downside is how rushed it all felt. Would have skipped the boat ride for more time at the sandbar!
This wonderfully scenic journey into the rural west coast of Japan is highly recommended with its beautiful fishing villages, gentle beaches and dramatic lush green mountains. Boat and monorail tours are recommended options to fully explore this exciting experience! Jay, who was our tour guide, has a quirky sense of humour and is an excellent organizer, ensuring that we saw everything to schedule!
The scenery at Amanohoshidate is amazing and well worth the trip. Ine was also nice, but the boat tour was a bit of a scam, a boat filled to the brim with tourists circled in front of Ine for 20mins and you could feed seagulls. It was like a scene from a Hitchcock film. Afterwards we had a little time to look around Ine, which was nice enough. As for the tour itself, booking and finding the bus was easy enough. The guide was funny, but spoke in such broken english that it was hard to understand anything he was saying.
Beautiful place to visit. We enjoyed very much
Very well organised and excellent friendly guide Abigail
Its like the photos you see. Great scenery. Bus was comfortable. I would do it again. Thanks for the trip
It’s a great way to see this part of the country. The trip was delivered exactly as advertised with ample time to see the sites. Abigail is very professional, helpful and friendly. The bus however seemed a little old and was not the most comfortable.
The trip was great the places we went to were really good. Our only complaint was the tour guide was impossible to understand which made it hard to know about the places we went to.
It was a great experience overall, the amanohashidate view was unique and the fishing village had a nice atmosphere. A few improvements points when it comes to tour overall. Our tour guide Jay was very hard to understand and didn’t give nice details about the areas. Secondly the balance of the tour was a little off. The boat part isn’t very interesting and many others agreed we would’ve like to spend more time in the fishing village itself. My top tip is if you do this tour - rent the bikes in both locations so you can explore on your own pace and go out of touristy zone, this was my favorite part.
Naomi is kind and friendly. Thanks for her service, we have a lot of fun in this trip.
Lovely day trip from Kyoto, very picturesque and pleasant. Jay made the trip fun with his sense of humour.
The tour itself is excellent. The places we went are all amazing. Our tour guide was so patient and knowledgeable. He was so nice to the point that he doesn't want to leave the passengers who are late. Because of tardiness of this passengers and because they don't have sense of time, our trip was cut shorter. We won't able to have lunch and do other activities. Hopefully on our next booking, we don't encounter such people.
We had a lovely time and Jay was a great guide. His knowledge of the area and well timed humour made it enjoyable. Many thanks
Amanohashidate is a must do with family. It was by far the most fun we’ve had in Kyoto so far. Yes it takes 2 hours to get there and back, but there was plenty of time to explore. Jay, our guide, was both hilarious and knowledgeable. He made the trip even more memorable for us with his wit. Highly recommend this getaway to singles and to families. The chairlift ride is a must-do and the highlight of the excursion.
Great tour with Bunny. She kept our group together and her friendly personality made the trip enjoyable. We went on a boat ride, took a chairlift up a mountain and learned lots about Japan. Although there was lots of driving the scenery made it worth it.
This was a great day trip for those wanting to see what the coastline has to offer. Highlight was definitely the boat ride, with the seagulls and hawks swooping in to grab a chip from your fingers.
It is simply relaxing, just sit back to explore the beautiful Amanohashidate & funaya ine village. Our tour guide, Mr J is very knowledgeable and helpful. All is well well explained and punctuality is reminded. At the end of tour, a little postcade is given.
Naomi. 2026/1/17 was a fabulous guide! Very knowledgeable, friendly, considerate and helpful. We would highly recommend.
Naomi is an amazing tour guide—friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. The tour ran smoothly, and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend the Ine Bay, Amanohashidate, and Miyama Village tour with Naomi.
Naomi was the tour guide on 13/1/2026. We had a wonderful time thanks to her excellent service. From providing us with clear instructions for the pick up, to helping to get refund for a boat tour that got cancelled, she is always there to help. Her multilingual also helped greatly to make this a memorable trip.
Had a wonderful experience with this trip. Amazed by all the view and experiences. Despite the weather was not so friendly at first, our tour guide Naomi tried her best to make the trip enjoyable for us, and we did have fun. The highlight for me was the cable chair and the view from the uphill Amanohashidate. Naomi also took some of nice pictures for me since i travelled alone. Thanks Naomi :)
Ms Naomi was very friendly informative and very flexible. She offered alternative route to adjust with the weather to give us a good experience. Overall the trip was smooth.
It was a great experience, Naomi is a very sweet and respectful guide, everything was well explained and it’s been one of my favorite tours in all my life.
I get to know hidden gems from Japan. Naomi took a bunch of pictures from me and my family as well as being very patient and explanatory for every part of the tour.
Proactive guide and she is sweet and friendly. Respects punctuality from tourist. She makes sure everyone is well informed about the place and timing.
Naomi was an amazing tour guide! Our experience was better because she gave us local recommendations, took some of our pictures and she’s very warm and welcoming, simply the best! The tour was really smooth, Amanohashidate is beautiful and Ine has a small town charm. I highly recommend this tour!
Amazing place, must see while in Osaka/kyoto. Our tour guide was great! Smooth drive from Osaka. Highly recommend
What an amazing time we had! Amanohashidate and Ine are beyond beautiful! So worth the long drive and a highlight of our trip! The bus tour itself was well organized, with assigned seating so there wasn't any difficulty finding seats together. Also the tour organizers and the guide communicated ahead of time providing details on the meeting spot, etc. The guide, Jay, was pleasant and informative, and conducted the tour in 3 languages. He gave helpful tips, kept us on schedule, and took pictures for us when requested. We certainly felt we had enough time at each stop. We would highly recommend this experience and are so glad we did it!
