This experience felt much more personal than simply renting a kimono. The dressing assistance and hairstyling helped complete the look, and walking through Osaka in traditional clothing created wonderful memories. Taking photos both inside the shop and around the city made the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely one of my favorite cultural activities in Osaka.

The collction of rental choices is great. They did a very nice and Japanese looking make up for my wife, the hair is done very well and the dress was beautiful. Their staffs were extra helpful and friendly choosing the perfect combination of dress color, makeup and weather. Iverall it was a roubdall experience worth every penny. Overall, I had a great experience with Komono Rental in Osaka. There’s a huge selection of kimonos to choose from, and you can upgrade for hair and makeup, which is a nice touch (just note that extra hairpieces come at an additional cost). The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful while I picked everything out. One thing to be aware of as a solo traveler: the listing mentions photos, but they’re not really included unless you’re with someone or booking the $120 photographer for the hour. They offered to take a quick photo outside the shop, but I ended up going to a nearby shrine and relying on kind strangers for better shots. Still, overall a lovely experience—I’d just recommend clarifying the photo situation ahead of time if you’re traveling solo.

I am very happy to have had this opportunity to experience Wafuku in Osaka. Many people think of Kyoto and Nara when they think of Wafuku, but there are also many attractive spots in Osaka City that are suitable for photography in Wafuku, and I was able to feel its charm again this time. In particular, this shop is very accessible, only about a three-minute walk from Nihonbashi Station, and the fact that you can go to Dotonbori, one of Osaka's most famous sightseeing spots, immediately after dressing up and enjoy a photo was very appealing. I would like to thank you once again for this precious opportunity. This time we tried the 90 minute plan and the staff who were in charge of the kimono were very courteous and professional. Men didn't have a hair set, but I saw the hair ornaments and hair arrangements for women, and I strongly felt the attention to detail and technical skill of the shop. If you are looking to try Japanese traditional clothes in Osaka, I highly recommend this shop.
