4-stop Bar Crawl In Tenma: An Intro To Osaka's Best Bites & Sips

This was a nice bar-hopping experience in Temma, Osaka — a local area not frequented often by tourists. The tour started at 7:30 pm when we met our guide Mich at the meetup spot by Temma Station and ended nearby around 10 pm, lasting about 3.5 hours. It was a solid experience, and we got to visit four different stops where we tried different local drinks and many different local bites. It wasn’t one of those wild bar crawls, but that’s okay — we enjoyed the smaller-scale outing. Our group was only four people plus the guide. Shoutout to our guide Mich as well for the wonderful job she did guiding us from place to place throughout the night. One thing, though: one of the restaurants we visited had quite a number of people smoking inside while we were eating and drinking. While we understood that’s allowed in the restaurant, it would’ve been nice to be offered a non-smoking option instead. But all in all, this was still a pretty good experience. Definitely consider doing this while you’re in Osaka.

We had such a great time with Noz! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and really went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. We actually took the wrong train and ended up arriving almost 30 minutes late, but Noz was incredibly understanding. She adjusted the plan on the fly, and funny enough, it ended up leading to a few unexpected surprises that made the night even better! What we loved most about this tour was getting to experience a side of Osaka that most tourists never see. Instead of the usual tourist spots, we got to eat and drink at places where the locals actually hang out. It felt much more like exploring the city with a local friend than being on a typical food tour. Dotonbori is definitely fun, but there's so much more to Osaka, and this tour gives you a chance to experience that. If you want to get away from the tourist crowds, discover some great local spots, and get a real feel for Osaka, I can't recommend Noz and this tour enough!

The tour guide was nice, even through the rough start, the only complaint would be the 2nd place we were, it was filled with smokers.

Jimmy surpassed our expectations, we had so much fun. We have been to japan many times and I will say Jimmy really made this trip one of our best! Yusuke was an amazing tour guide. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our night in Osaka. The bars we went to had great drinks and great food and each one had a distinct vibe to them. The total experience was about 3 hours from start to finish and included some walking sightseeing along the way.

Our tour with Taku was one of the highlights of our trip. He was very knowledgeable of the area and Japan in general and was a lot of fun to bar hop around Osaka with! We even got some local insights on restaurants/shops to visit during the rest of our trip. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Osaka or just have a fun night out with some good food and drinks.

Had a great time with our tour guide! He explained things very well, and took us to some great bars. He also went out of his way to help my friend who has a gluten allergy, both to make sure he didn't get sick, and that he got to eat something during our tour.

Awesome experience, the all you can drink bars were the best. The tour taught me so much stuff about Japan and Osaka. Its duration was also perfect since one we finished we were in the heart of Dotonburi and could explore it. Food was good and so was the drinks. 10/10!!!

We had an unintentionally private tour with Nina on Thursday, May 14th and had an absolutely incredible time. Not only were the food and drinks delicious, but I enjoyed our conversation with Nina even more! We covered everything from Japanese history and culture, to food and local traditions. I truly felt like we got a great taste of Osaka on our first full day there. Nina was an excellent guide and I cannot recommend her enough - if you are lucky enough to have her as your tour guide, you're in for a true treat. We would absolutely love to go around the city with Nina again!

We booked this trip for the night we landed. Left our luggage at the hotel, and hit the town. Figured we could hard reset our internal clocks by staying up, out, and on our feet. A little drink never hurt a good sleep either! Our guide Mikey was super chill, we LOVED the places we went to and they all had such a unique vibe to them. Food and drinks were all on point. Everything is taken care of, and no worries if you don't speak Japanese, but by the end of the night, you might pick up a thing or two! Highly recommend.

Pros: Friendly guide who shared lots of interesting facts and history of the area. Stopped for several fun photo opportunities. Good recommended food and drinks with generous portions. I'd recommend the Magical Trip tours after going on a few with them. Cons: It was just me and my wife on the tour. It would have been a bit more fun and lively if it was a bigger group.

This tour was so fun! Our guide was super friendly, answered all our questions about Japan and brought us to great local bars that we never would have discovered on our own. The food and drinks were delicious. The tour was just my husband and I with a pair of German guys but we had a great time, everyone got along, we laughed and told stories. Was a great price for the amount of food and drinks you get! Would definitely recommend!

This was my first tour in Japan and Tony was the perfect guide. He showed us a great time as we visited some amazing Izakayas. He was very knowledgeable about Osaka’s history as well. I learned a lot and had some great food. I’d recommend Magical Trip and especially Tony to anyone visiting Japan!

We had an amazing time on the Osaka Bar Hopping Night Walking Tour in Namba, thanks to our wonderful guide, Mich. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and comfortable. Mich took us to great local bars we would have never found on our own and introduced us to delicious Osaka dishes—every stop was a highlight!
