Great experience, the staff were very welcoming, and made the whole experience fun. They interacted with us and the service was amazing. Highly recommend.
Such a fun and interactive event! Our three hosts were wonderful and very kind, explaining everything to us clearly and making sure we all had a great time. Thank you to Seina, Moo and Kazu (sorry if I misspelled your names!). You helped us make happy memories! Thank you very mochi!
So much fun!!! This was so knowledgeable and really fun. Highly recommend.
Great experience. Very friendly guides. The mochi tasted amazing 🤩
An amazing experience💜🌸🌸🌸 thank you so much!
We loved our experience at Oh Mochi! We joined the mochi-making course, learned about mochi, tried traditional mochi pounding ourselves, and of course ate some delicious mochi too! Taro, Kazu, Pari and Haruna were amazing. They were very friendly, explained everything clearly and made the whole experience fun and special. It was a really unique experience and one of our favorite memories in Japan. Thank you so much! We 100% recommend it!❤️
This was an amazing experience! My partner and I ended up having an unintentional "private" lesson since we went on a Tuesday around 2pm on one of the rainiest days of our Osaka trip. Mayuko and Haruna were both wonderful hosts and were very informative and funny about the mochi experience. We even got to pound the actual mochi and got to enjoy the "fruits of our labor". Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience and to learn more about mochi and its rich history!
What a fantastic experience! Asuka, Anna and Sana are all welcoming. We got a little bit late but they are very professional and outgoing. And, the muchi tastes good! I like the Anko+Cream one.
It was super fun and the kids loved it! Gave us so many different options and took plenty of photos for us!
The experience was amazing! My hosts for the day, Asuka and Kazu, were wonderful, thoughtful, and made me feel comfortable and right at home. The experience was enjoyable and I have learned much more than I thought I would. The cultural exchange I had with my host is definitely a highlight of my trip. Thank you friends for hosting me. Highly recommended!
I had an incredible time! The ladies were lovely and I loved that they gave the history mochi. Highly recommend going
This was a great experience in a great location. They are very welcoming and there was a lot of mochi to enjoy so come ready to eat!
My partner and I had an amazing experience with Haruna and Sana. Both of them were very sweet, talented and great at explaining our questions. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a Mochi making/pounding experience!
We had a fun time making Mochi from scratch! We also got to eat it afterwards with 9 different seasonings - delicious experience!
Very nice and young Team who explanes everything in english. In the end you can taste your hand made mochi with different topings! Very (full)filling!!
It was an incredible experience, the staff were so friendly and we loved the mochi making- was delicious too!!
10/10 from start to finish! The hosts were super friendly, energetic, and made the whole mochi-making process so engaging and accessible for beginners. Pounding the dough was hilarious and dynamic, and tasting our fresh creations at the end was pure bliss. Warm, delicious, and so much fun—do not pass this up if you're in the area!
Great family activity and it's was delicious!
So fun and educational. I highly recommend.
The Mochi Crew was very nice. They spoke good English and the Mochi + Toppings were delicious. Would recommend
Great experience ! I definitely would recommend it, especially If you are interested in mochi or love eating them !
We had so much fun learning how to make mochi! The flavors combinations were really good. I liked flavors I didn't expect to like.
Informative, fun, and delicious! All of the staff members were a joy to be around and made us feel welcome. The history of mochi was short and to the point and the pounding was more fun than expected. I was worried we’d do a bad job and our mochi wouldn’t be good, but that worry didn’t happen. It was so tasty! Dipping the mochi in the flavors was a treat! We had a fabulous time and loved every moment of the experience. The location may be a bit hard to find- it’s on a lower sidewalk over looking a river (very scenic).
We had a great time learning the history and making Mochi with Michi, Masaki and Kazu! I was worried that the it might be too long, but they paced it perfectly, just the right amount of time for pounding, rolling and tasting the mochi. Also all seven participants got enough time for pounding and picture taking. We were quite full after the mochi tasting, since we tried different flavors and they were all quite tasty.
We had a great time at mochi pounding!
Was really fun. Had a good experience, and was good value. Definitely recommend
Good quick activity, not super robust but I still recommend. The tasting is great!
Haruna-San and Runa-San were engaging and enthusiastic with our group!
Misaki and Kazu were very kind, knowledgeable, and fun. They made it a great experience! It was amazing to take a break in a calm and carefree environment.
We had a ton of fun, and it was interesting to learn about how mochi is actually made!
Exactly as advertised. We pounded and ate mochi. It was awesome. The staff was really friendly and gave the historical context of mochi making and eating in Japan.
The 3 hosts, Haruka, Misaki and Ruina were highly enthusiastic, professional, knowledgeable and warm. They made the event enjoyable. There were opportunities for young and old to try pounding the glutinous rice and to enjoy the mochi with assortment of sweet and savoury toppings. The hosts were helpful in taking pictures of us. After the event, They offered information of Osaka and recommended restaurants to try. The venue easily accessible - a pleasant walk along the river.
Aiko, Pari, and Tati were all very friendly, helpful and patient through the whole process. They made the whole experience an amazing time
Mochi Pounding was an experience with a difference. You joined in the making of Mochi and then got to each your work. There was many flavours to try, or mixing them together which made the consumption of your hard work even more enjoyable.
Very friendly and upbeat staff, you get to make your own and try different common flavours in Japan to see what you liked.
Family of 4, full group was 8 people. Two hosts teaching us about the history or mochi (briefly) and then we all pounded glutinous rice into mochi. Then we made 8 little balls and dipped each of them in an assortment of flavours - they were all delicious. A great way to spend an hour, timed as an afternoon snack.
We made mochi with Haruka, Michi, and Misaki, and it was so fun! They were kind and funny, and even though we had eaten mochi before, they still went through the historical facts and explanations of how mochi is made, the ways it can be eaten, etc. And then we got to make mochi! They made sure we got to have every part of the experience and made it really enjoyable. We were so into it we forgot about pictures but they always asked us for our phones to take videos and photos for us. All in all, a fun brief experience that ends with eating delicious mochi. Yoi-sho!
Excellent experience! The crew was attentive, good humored, informative, and just overall wonderful. Despite eating mochi my whole life, I still learned things from them!
Amazing instructors of the class! They made us feel incredibly welcomed. I felt very comfortable to try new things. The instructors are very hospitable and answered any questions we had about making mochi and about Japan in general. Would highly recommend this class for singles, couples, and families!
Great experience to do and also learned about the history of mochi seina & ayuma were amazing teachers
We found this place right near the Dotonbori River, and books directly on Instagram, we truly enjoyed this full experience. We learned so much, and it was fun because it was interactive. Even our six year old had a wonderful time, this was so worth it and we recommend this activity for those traveling to Osaka 🙂
It was a great experience. Learmes so much about making mochi and ate everything after! Highly recommended
Great experience kind and helpful staff. The mochi is very filling and of course delicious save room before coming
A fun experience! The instructors was knowledgeable and made the process feel easy and fun. It was hands-on in the best way, and getting to taste freshly made mochi right after was a highlight. You can really taste the difference compared to store-bought mochi. A memorable, interactive experience I would definitely recommend.
Really great activity and so much fun. Our hostesses were amazing, especially Mochi. Location was a little hard to find. Freshly made mochi is amazing. Just the right amount of people for this activity.
We had so much fun that the 1-hour experience flew by. Misaki, Koh, Mao and Aua were such lovely hosts, helping to make the experience interactive, educational, fun and most importantly, delicious. Such a unique way of learning a part of the history behind Japanese food culture, while also being given the opportunity to try authentic mochi and new flavors! Really great if you’re a couple of people, but also perfect if you’re in a slightly larger group.
My kids called this entertaining and a life-changing experience. The staff was friendly and funny. We learned a lot and had a ton of fun pounding and eating mochi. Highly recommend.
Very fun experience and nice staff members. They also kindly helped me out when I had lost a personal belonging.
My wife and I love mochi and this experience was a quick and fun way to learn about the history and make a delicious treat! Mao, Haruka, and Seina were wonderful guides! Absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Osaka!!!
