Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu

Rooms are great! very spacious. Fit 3 beds, 3 suitcases and bathroom was also very spacious with both shower and bathtub. Location is walking distance to Shinsaibashi, not much around. If you prefer quiet and not near all the tourists it's a good place. There is a 7/11 nearby. Hommachi station is the closest. 2 stops from Namba for Airport Express. Service - in case you buy anything in the supermarket that needs freezing, they wont store it for you since they have no large fridge. as compared to a hotel we stayed at in kyoto who happily accepted the frozen food. other than that, checkin and checkout was quick. would consider staying here again but still open to seeing better hotels out there. if you are looking for a spacious and comfortable hotel, then this is good.

I have traveled all around the world, and this was the weirdest hotel I have ever stayed in. The reception is on the 16th floor, and there is no bellboy or staff downstairs to greet guests or assist with luggage. The rooms have the sink in the middle of the room, while the toilet and shower are separated and spread throughout the room. The gym has barely any equipment. Also, as you enter the hotel, there are pride flags everywhere, which gives the impression that this is the clientele the hotel is targeting. However, that was not what I noticed during the days I stayed there. There are laundry facilities on two different floors, which is a big plus. The breakfast was okay as well. Bottom line: I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend this hotel.

Great hotel very comfortable and spacious room and great bathroom shower combo. The reception was interesting as it is on the 16 floor then you take a different elevator to your room. We ate at the Picnika restaurant on the 17 floor first a great excellent service and delicious sirloin and sushi. Overall a great stay.

We stayed at Osaka Excel Hotel at Honmachi for 5 nights. The room we had was called the Superior Room Double - Non-Smoking. The room was big enough to have two check in suitcases open so it was a good size for Osaka. The room was clean and they did a full room clean after the third night stay. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was great with separate toilet and water pressure was good. The heating/cooling system can be changed to your liking and the elevators were very fast. This hotel had 6 washing machines too, which was very convenient, there's also a webpage where you can check the availabilities as they're quite popular. We love that everyone coming into the building has to go past the 24/7 front desk before they can use the guest elevators (which also required a key card to be scanned), the whole place felt very secure. Honmachi station was only 5 mins or less from the hotel and we found it extremely easy to travel around Osaka living by this station. The hotel and surrounding areas were also very quiet at night so we always had great sleep. We also used the luggage transfer service, which was easy and quick. Could not recommend this hotel more, especially for the price!
