What a marvellous hotel! This is definitely one of the best hotel experiences we had in our trip to Japan. The hotel is beautiful, very enjoyable and modern with so many classic touches. The rooms are ample and with everything you might need. All amenities are wonderful and the room’s views are fantastic. The staff is incredible. They make you feel like you are their main guest. They are attentive and very professional.. and this includes the staff in the restaurants. The restaurant’s breakfast is well balanced and fresh. You can even ask for variations on your choices and they try to accommodate. When you want a 5 star hotel there is no doubt that this is by far the best option.

Perfect for a 90s retro experience in Osaka. The entire property remains exactly as it was when it opened in 1996 - but it hasn’t aged at all and everything feels like new. The staff are superb here. The property itself is enormous and has everything you need. The rooms are great - comfortable bed, great bathroom, and everything else you’d expect from a hotel like this. Other guests appeared to be mainly Japanese, helping you to avoid the cruise terminal feel of some other more touristy hotels in the city. It’s in a good location too - not immediately central but near enough to stations to take you where you need to go. The views are incredible no matter which side of the building you’re on. We may have found a special rate/time but the prices were much more reasonable than expected.
A great short stay. For us a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the Dotonbouri. A convenient free shuttle bus ran between the hotel and Osaka station. The staff were friendly and very polite. The luggage receipt and forwarding service was all handled by the concierge desk. Filling in the information using the QR code was super easy. We enjoyed the restaurant Cafe Couvert which had a good selection of dishes to suit most tastes. We loved our stay.
Excellent hotel and staff. Hotel is well maintained and the rooms are huge by Japanese standards. I loved that you can adjust the temperature in your room to your individual needs. Most hotels today have a fixed temperature and no matter how hot or cold you are you cannot adjust the temperature. The bathroom has a large soaking tub and high water pressure, great for relaxing after a long day of walking. The shower is high pressure and adjustable 👍. Located right on the river, with a river walk lined with Sakura (Cherry trees). Here 3/29/26-3/30/26, trees are not yet in full bloom, approximately 30-40%. Only downside is they do not offer a shuttle to the nearby station (Sakuranomiya). It is only a 15 -30 minute walk, but when bringing luggage after a long fight a shuttle would be nice. They do offer a shuttle, but only to and from Osaka station. In order to catch the limited express to Nagoya we took uber to Tsurahashi station. Restaurants in the hotel are nice, but be sure to make reservations in advance or you will not get a table. The breakfast option is a good option and value. Three choices with lots of selection and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
What an amazing hotel with top service. I booked a room during the Expo Osaka and was great to explore the event and also the city. The rooms are designed to the last detail, with all the amenities you could need. I chose a room on the club floors to have access to the lounge and the spa, and it was completely worth it. The lounge has an impressive view at night. I tried the Japanese breakfast, and it was very delicious and generous. There are many design details inspired by the Imperial Hotel Tokyo designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, specially in the Old Imperial Bar tucked next to the reception. The hotel is connected to the river, and I had a great time running along it. In the room you will find a map with different running routes. The spa was also great, with a nice sauna and a cold pool. The service in general was top notch, attentive and helpful staff. I was able to ship my luggage straight to Tokyo with the assistance of the bellboy. For me, one of the best hotels in Japan.
