Hotel Hankyu Respire Osaka

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a great stay at Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA (ホテル阪急レスパイア大阪) — this was our second time staying here, with our first visit back in 2023. The location is still one of the best in Osaka, extremely convenient and perfect for exploring the city. Everything you need is within easy reach, making our trip very smooth and comfortable. One thing we noticed this time was that there have been quite a number of changes in the building, especially with several food outlets on level 8 now closed. That said, it didn’t affect our overall experience too much as there are still plenty of options nearby. We actually spent almost a whole day just shopping within the building. Having Uniqlo, GU, and Yodobashi Camera conveniently located in the same complex made everything so easy — especially for families. It’s very convenient for shopping, dining, and last-minute travel needs all in one place. A special mention as well to the FamilyMart on level 1, which is very well stocked and open 24 hours — extremely convenient for quick snacks, drinks, and essentials at any time of the day or night. Another great bonus is the free coffee available at the main lobby on level 9, which was perfect for a quick break. Toothbrushes, shavers, and other basic amenities are also readily available, which makes the stay even more convenient. Overall, still a very solid hotel choice in Osaka with an unbeatable location. We would definitely consider staying here again on future trips.

We stayed at Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka for 5 nights with our family and had an excellent experience. The biggest advantage of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. It is practically connected to Osaka Station, providing seamless access to major JR and Osaka Metro lines. Shin-Osaka Station is only about 10 minutes away, making intercity travel extremely convenient. Reaching the hotel for the first time can feel a little overwhelming depending on which train or metro line you arrive from, as Osaka Station is massive. However, the hotel has done a fantastic job placing directional signs throughout Osaka Station City. Simply follow the signs and you will eventually reach the hotel. We also found that JR and Metro staff were familiar with the hotel and readily helped point us in the right direction. The hotel reception is located on the 9th floor. The lower floors are occupied by Links Umeda and Yodobashi Camera, which is incredibly convenient for shopping. There is also an excellent food court on the 8th floor offering a wide variety of food and beverage options. It is directly accessible from the hotel and was always bustling with both tourists and locals, which is usually a very good sign. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, well laid out, and noticeably larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms. For families, the extra space is a major advantage and greatly enhanced our comfort during the stay. The breakfast spread was excellent. As Indian vegetarians, we particularly appreciated the hotel's effort to include fully plant-based options. During our stay, they offered items such as plant-based ramen, udon noodles, and soups on a rotating menu. Finding good vegetarian options in Japan can sometimes be challenging, so this was a significant plus for us. The staff throughout the hotel were courteous, professional, and well trained. On multiple occasions, they went above and beyond to assist us, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Popular areas such as Namba, Dotonbori, and Shinsekai are only about a 10-minute metro ride away, making sightseeing extremely convenient. Overall, Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE Osaka offers an outstanding combination of location, comfort, convenience, and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Osaka

Location is great, same building with Yodobashi Umeda. Lobby is on 9F, restaurants are on 8F and family mart is on GF. You can do shopping in same building without going out in rainy day. Room is clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful. Luggage service is provided. At hotel lobby, hot coffee/tea/drinking water is provided. No water bottle in room but there's water machine on every floor in case that you don't drink from the tap.

It is a good places to stay with family. The hotel is clean or located in the heart of Umeda. The room is large with competitive room rate. Be sure to reserve time in waiting lift, as well as busy hours and need to time the lift lobby. Apart from the restaurant in the hotel, there are much choices in the 7/F. We can keep shopping shopping and shopping as many shops located in the building. The metro stations were very closed and easily lost direction 😅 I will consider the hotel if I visit Osaka again.
