I love this place, it is right smack in the middle of Osaka, amenitiea are awesome, i loved dryer function fo the fan in the bathroom. The staff are allso nice as well. If ever you are planning a trip to Osaka, book this place and i tell you, this is a bang for ypu buck!! Thank you Dotonbori Crystal Hotel III for making my wife's and I's first Japan trip an awesome one!
First of all, the hotel rooms. There weren't any major flaws noticeable in the rooms, and it was probably the most practical out of all the hotels over our 2-week stay all over Japan. We went during the summer, so it was particularly easy to dry clothes in a short time after taking them out of the washing machine. The size of the two combined rooms was large and was like that of a mini home. Overall, the rooms were great. However, the service and the food had room for improvements. The staff were generally not as welcoming as the other hotels we had been to. Also, they put the same food each day for the breakfast buffet and played boring songs during breakfast. The hotel could improve by giving more variety and changing the menu often rather than offering the same food options endlessly. Also they should seriously consider improving their song playlist.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of the 9 day guided group tour of Japan. The room is a little smaller than what we would like but it's clean, modern looking and has many amenities such as a kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, 2 stove cooktop and hood. It also has a small washer to wash some clothes and dry them in the bathroom with heated air fan. A decent breakfast is included with one station for salad & fruit, another for warm breakfast and a third for making your own Ramen noodle soup. The hotel is conveniently located: 10-15 minute walk to market shops & restaurants and 1.5 miles for a morning run to Osaka Castle. We didn't use room service so I cannot comment on it.
The bed was extremely comfortable but the bathroom absolutely stinks. There is an awful wet smell coming from the drains. Location of hotel is good. Room layout is good. The communal area floors are filthy and have not been cleaned. The smell made this the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at
I like that the shower coverts to a dryer. It is self contained but the doors open outwards onto the main hallway of the floor and you have yo be careful someone doesn't hit you when opening theirs, its a bit odd. Very handy to town and lots of little eateries on the way plus a coffee shop just down on the same street which opens at 7.30am
