When we visited The Lighthouse an extra $6.00 per person was being charged that everyone thought was already included in the price so only two people paid the extra fee to actually go into the Lighthouse. Going to the Beach was a complete waste of time. So disappointing. There was no covering or place for guest to sit on the beach. Most of us got back on the bus abd waited for the hour to go by because we couldn't enjoy the beach. Everybody complained about this and wanted some of our money returned.

Itinerary
Situated on the north side of the island, this lighthouse was built 1914 to signal ships nearing Aruba.
A must-see scenery! For thousands of years, pounding waves and strong winds have slowly chiseled away at the limestone cliffs along Aruba's north coast to create several natural bridges including our current Baby Bridge
The Alto Vista Chapel was the first church that was built in Aruba.
The island has enormous Diorite stones scattered throughout the island and Ayo Rock Formations is one of the rock formations on the Island.
Baby Beach is very famous for its true Caribbean beach paradise scenery. For its amazing half-moon sandy expanse in a calm lagoon.

Caesar, our driver, was very friendly and informative! The stops are brief, so if you want more time at each location this may not be the trip for you. But, if you want a taste of Aruba this is great! Speaking of taste… the pasta at lunch was reeeaally good! My friend enjoyed his chicken wrap as well. It was fun to see the glassblowing demonstration, too!
Jay did a great job driving and giving us all the needed info/ history about Aruba. Very much enjoyed the day especially baby beach. Thank you
Juan was an awesome guide and helped keep the tour upbeat and very interesting.
We loved our #89 bus driver and tour guide, Jose. He shared so much interesting information and has a great sense of humor. This was our favorite tour on our Princess Cruise. Masha danki!
The great thing about this tour is the driver. Jose was equally knowledgeable and entertaining with a great sense of humor. The lunch was good and the crowing moment of snorkeling at Baby Beach was a perfect end to the tour. The bus is air-conditioned so you have some sun relief. There is plenty sun for tanning later. They do provide snorkel equipment if you need.
The driver/guide Kip Roy was extremely rude and unprofessional showing total disregard for the legitimate concerns of his passengers. I do not recommend this agency and regret wasting $65 on this tour. Aruba is a beautiful and interesting island and can easily be seen on your own with a rental car. In fact, it would be cheaper than taking the tour if you have two or more people. As a solo traveler, cost was a concern, but in retrospect I wish I had spent the extra $40-50 and rented a car. It would have made this a much more pleasant experience. Save the headaches and rent a car or try a better agency.
Julissa was an excellent tour guide and a good bus driver. Too bad the aloe factory tour wasn’t available. Also wished we had a few more minutes at the Casibari Boulders (that felt rushed). Loved the Lighthouse. For me, the beach was a bit too long and it was a rough and windy day. Overall, enjoyed getting out and seeing some things on the island.
Came to Aruba on a cruise liner. The bus depot is a 10 min walk away. They sell a day ticket for $15. The bus goes all over the sights of the island very comfortably for a reasonable price. Well worth it.
“Best of Aruba and glass blowing”. Jose was awesome!! Best tour we’ve been on in a long time! Very personal, knowledgeable, friendly and happy! Saw a lot of neat sights and a few extra picture opts! Very nice, clean comfortable bus and Jose is an awesome driver. I would do this tour again with Jose!! Aruba is “one Happy Island”! We enjoyed glass blowing, the rock formations, the gold mine, “baby arch”, the light tower, and saw beautiful beaches and buildings!! Thank you Jose! You are very informative!
We took a open bus tour to Baby Beach and our guide Mike was excellent. We had a great time. The scenery is beautiful. Mike was very entertaining
Very informative and fun tour with Benjamin and Caesar. We took the Monday 1000 to 330pm tour by bus from the Surf Club . Visited Butterfly farm, Aruba Aloe including tours , Natural and baby bridge, Ayo rock formation. Snack at the natural bridge included. Cheese pastry was super tasty. We appreciated the well rounded background information on Aruba as well as all the stop off points history. We left knowing a lot more on life generally in Aruba. Benjamin and Caesar were super helpful and good humoured. Highly recommend the tour!
We did the island and snorkeling tour where you visited different areas of the island and learned the history of the island then made 2 stops for snorkeling trips. One snorkel trip was to Baby Beach, I don't remember the other beach. Mike was our tour guide. The tour was absolutely terrific. Mike was very knowledgeable, informative, funny, friendly and just an excellent tour guide. We learned a lot about the history of the island during the tour. The snorkel part to Baby Beach was difficult as we had to get into a canal that lead to Baby Beach and it was covered in rocks you had to snorkel over which was very difficult to do. The other beach was a long way down to where you got into the water to snorkel then have to climb back up. For us at our age the snorkeling wasn't the best but it was ok. The tour over all was exceptional, especially with Mike as our tour guide. He did an amazing job. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you are younger and in very good shape, and like adventure, and especially if you get Mike as your tour guide. 2 thumbs up
Jay was an excellent tour guide and bus driver. Our excursion was actually Colors of Aruba, but it showed the best of Aruba - Ostrich Farm, Natural Bridge, Caribari Rocks, and California Lighthouse. Enjoyed the tour.
All of our friends who've been to Aruba told us you should do this, see this... we decided to do the 7 hour bus tour. Our driver/tour guide, Jay, was not only great at telling us history and different parts of the islands, but he was funny and entertaining. We enjoyed the different sites that we saw as well as seeing a demonstration of glass blowing. The entire tour was very enjoyable, and let us explore the beautiful island of Aruba!
This was a nice tour - overall!!!!! My complaint is that the itinerary description is not accurate. The description states that the tour starts with a 15 minute walking tour of downtown - NO SUCH STOP and no information about downtown!!!! People select tours based on the stated itinerary!!!!! The included lunch was at the Natural Bridge and the plate looked beautiful and was generous but the BBQ was too tough- not edible tough - this was not only my feeling but the general consensus. If they simply steam the BBQ on low for a few hours, it would fall off the bone. The tour description stated snorkel gear would be provided but the tour operator told us only one piece would be provided and we would have to rent a complete set but I didn't see any snorkel gear offered. The tour went to a glass blowing factory, which was OK but not stated in the itinerary. The tour driver, Uri, was great! We had an absolutely amazing experience with Jay, our bus driver and tour guide from De Palm Tours in Aruba! From the moment we got on the bus, Jay kept the entire group entertained with his great sense of humor, quick wit, and warm personality. He had us laughing the whole way—his jokes and stories made the trip both fun and unforgettable! Not only is Jay incredibly funny, but he’s also very knowledgeable. He shared so much about Aruba’s history, culture, landmarks, and even fun local facts that really brought the island to life. You can tell he truly loves what he does and takes pride in showing off his beautiful island. We were also impressed by Jay’s patience and professionalism. He handled the group with ease, gave everyone personal attention, and made sure we all felt comfortable and included—no matter how many questions we had or how many photo stops we requested! Jay made our tour one of the best parts of our trip to Aruba. If you’re booking a tour with De Palm, ask for Jay—you won’t regret it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was a phenomenal all day tour highlighting the best of Aruba. Earnie, the tour conductor is a gem. He has considerable knowledge of the history and culture of Aruba with a wonderful personality. He was also helpful to my sister who had difficulty walking. He carried the wheelchair on the tour and also carried my sister to the bus after her experiencing the beauty of Baby Beach. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
My family and I celebrated my sister-in-law’s birthday in Aruba. We enjoyed the Best of Aruba bus tour. We were given a bit of history while being entertained by our tour guide, Donald. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He even asked the entire group to sing the birthday song. We had a great time!!
My whole family thoroughly enjoyed the Aruba by Bus Tour, even my 20 year old, who didn’t want to spend a full day in Aruba on a bus!! That’s because our tour guide, Luis in Bus #175, made the day very enjoyable with his knowledge of the island & his humor!! It was our first trip to the island & a great way to see Aruba since we didn’t rent a car. Highly recommend this tour & Luis!! The bus is air conditioned & comfortable and the day included a great lunch, too, so it was money well spent!
Benjamin was fantastic! He is knowledgeable and has great humor. We also enjoyed the fish patties for lunch; they were excellent. We saw a lot of Aruba and enjoyed it. It was our second trip and second tour.
The tour started well. Our guide Donny was great. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and pleasant. I was disappointed that when the AC quit and our tour was cut short. The company had a replacement quickly, but we missed a bit due to time and this bus was dirty. There were open drinks on cup holders, and snack wrappers strewn about. I think they could have done better.
This tour gave a great overview of Aruba. Richard (bus 5) was a wonderful tour guide!! He even gave the tour in both English and Spanish!! Aruba may be small but it has many different looks. With the rugged east coast to the sandy beaches of the west coast. The glass blowing demo and then a delicious lunch was so nice! The swim/snorkel time at Baby beach was a great finish. Richard (bus 5) paced the day very well. We would highly recommend this tour with Richard (bus 5)! <3 <3
Julissa was such a delight. She shared so much appreciated information about aruba. Great driver. Seeing where she comes from and hearing her love for her homeland was heart warming. Anna B
We booked the tour through the Rennissence hotel, we normally prefer private tours but decided that this tour would show all the major highlights at a much lower cost. The driver/guide was Benjamin (bus 77) and he did a great job of explaining but also keep us on time. I really liked that he was 100% clear on exactly what time he expected people back on the bus. I will not list all the stops you can get all the detail on their De Palm tours TripAdvisor page, but the tour was extensive and you covered the whole Island. The tour officially started at 9am lasting 7 hr, but this does not include the hotel collections. We were first collection at 8am but the advantage was we were first to be dropped off. Benjamin really kept time well and we were dropped off at 16.00pm
Great time touring Aruba. Benjamin is extremely knowledgeable and conducted a fun tour. The bus was very nice. We were picked up and finished right on schedule.
The California light house was closed when we arrived. It should be informed before the tour so we don’t expect to claim to the top. The driver misinformed us.
Had a great time. Magic Mike was awesome! We saw caves and snorkeled in lazy river at baby beach. Fantastic tour! Our whole family loves it!
Excellent tour guide. Loved all of our attractions, saw tons of local cactus & ocean. The California lighthouse is extremely small & narrow to climb. So glad I climbed a “different” lighthouse ($5 additional charge) Most people just enjoy the view from the top of the cliff
We signed up for the whole day bus tour thru our hotel. Overall, the tour was pretty average, most of the time was spent driving around, loading and unloading passengers, including some who always took their sweet time. Worst part was the lunch, which was at some small roadside restaurant. The vegan option was just some lettuce and few slivers of onions and carrots, not even some dressing! The lasagna dish seemed to be a frozen readymade dish, heated and served in the same container. Wasted a full hour on this lunch, as a result had only about 30 minutes at the main attraction Baby beach. It would have been better to skip the lunch and go straight to the Baby beach, where people can decide and pay for their food and spend more time there.
Went on a tour to see Baby Beach and visited Arikok National Park this morning! Our tour guide Luis was amazing! I highly recommend booking with him! It was an incredible experience!
The bus tour around the island was great and we enjoyed every stop along the way. Our bus driver / tour guide Donald Rimbley was very knowledgeable, caring and took great care of all the passengers. We highly recommend this tour.
The bus was comfortable, the stops were great, and our tour guide Kimroy was awesome!!! The price was great for everything we did!!
The bus tour was great. Our driver and guide, Donald Rombley was awesome and informative. I would recommend this tour. Aruba has many interesting sights.
Our driver Richard, was wonderful! He made our day enjoyable and fun. Very knowledgeable and lunch was tasty.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Best of Aruba by Bus tour. Our personable and informative tour guide, Donald (Uncle Don, Donnie, “D”) Rombley made sure that we had a great trip giving us detailed anecdotes about the island along with his hilarious quips along the bus route. We highly recommend De Palm Tours Bus tours and their driver/guide Donald Rombley.
We really enjoyed touring with Alberto in bus 107. He was knowledgeable and we enjoyed listening to him. He worked in extra sites and I never felt rushed. He was in a few situations that many others would have struggled to get through safely his driving was impeccable. He was available to answer any questions we had and was generally really nice and welcoming.
We gained historical knowledge of Aruba while enjoying the sites. Met good people along the way. Oh! We also went swimming at Baby Beach.
First off, our tour guide Francis was great! We learned a lot about the island. However, this was our least favorite excursion during our stay. We think it should be targeted towards older people. The place that we stopped for lunch gave us very Americanized food that we chose before hand. We would have preferred something more authentic. We were on a big air conditioned bus. Not their fault, but I got a little nauseous with all the turns being made. Not their fault, we also did an off road tour the day before which double dipped at 3 of the locations. If we hadn't already seen these locations, we might have enjoyed them more slightly, but I would recommend the UTV if you can handle some bumps! The main complaint we have is that we should have been picked up in smaller groups and taken to a central location to board the bigger bus. We were the first ones picked up at 8am and we drive around the island for 1 hour picking up people from different hotels until the tour actually started at 9am. Thankfully this meant were were the first ones off, but still.
KimRoy was excellent! Not only did I feel very safe in his handling of the bus, but he was informative, funny, and very accommodating! He put extra cautions on places of which we should beware and talked about other DePalm activities that sounded like great options! What a great experience! When I send my grown children here in the future, I will definitely recommend this tour!
This was a great experience if you are visiting Aruba and don’t drive or you have a short time, this tour is perfect. We were picked up from our hotel and just enjoyed our day since they take care of everything, our tour included a meal. In the places we stopped must of them had a little shop were you could buy drinks or a quick snacks.
A couple things wrong with this tour. A glass blowing factory, Lava, was the first stop (not in the advertisement) which was basically to watch blown glass making then a push to make a purchase - not in the tour description and a waste of 45 min. Two items stated in the website were not available; no snacks were ever offered (you had to purchase everything on your own), and when we reached the final destination (Baby Beach) no snorkeling equipment was provided so all you could do was go in the water or go to the bar. Asked several other people and they all agreed the ad said snacks and snorkeling were supposed to be included, so I know it wasn't my imagination.
Tour employee at the hotel told us one of the stops of the tour would be San Nicholas, she even circled it on a map. We drove right through and never stopped. Our friend has a grandchild named Nicholas and he wanted to stop and buy something with his name on it, like a shirt. The tour was to be 7 1/2 hours long and turned out to be closer to 9 hours. When the bus stops at other hotels to pick people up, some people weren't ready, so everyone waits for them. Then at Baby Beach we were given one hour and one lady jumped off the bus at the 1 hour period and I guess went looking for her husband. We waited an additional 15 minutes and she came back with a bowl of ice cream, and yes, everyone waits. Lighthouse and Chapel were nice, as was Lava Glass factory. The Natural Bridge had collapsed but they don't tell you that until you get there. Big disappointment! We arrived at the Rock Formation during the hottest part of the day. The left path was covered the whole way with some sort of animal feces. Another disappointing stop. Food wasn't too bad where we stopped for lunch but bathrooms were pretty gross! Francis was our tour operator and he did his best.
There wasn’t much excitement on this tour. For me the highlight was the last stop at the Baby Beach when we spent an hour. The other stops were 15 minutes. The drive was scenic. Good if you’re looking for a low key thing to do, I would like to see a more elaborate description that would have helped me make a better choice.
For our ‘Aruba Town and Countryside Tour’ we booked directly through Holland America and the company they used was Palm Tours. Our driver was named Julius, and the tour took about 3.5 hours. The bus was very new and clean, and the AC was great! Julius was very personable, funny and knowledgeable as he shared the island history. There were multiple stops, including The Bridge, California Lighthouse, Alta Vista Chapel, Casibari Rock Formations and others. At the end of the tour Julius also helped us by recommending a nice beach club at Eagle Beach, which was very nice. We highly recommend this tour, the tour Company and of course our great driver and guide Julius!
Our driver showed us many places on Aruba, however had to spend WAY TO MUCH TIME waiting for food...
We are a party of 8 and we did the Bus Tour with Stanley. I can’t say enough about how pleasant and non stop information he provided about your Island. It was interesting and he was just the most pleasant person to everyone. I highly recommend this tour full day and ask for Stanley to be your driver.
We learned a lot and saw quite a bit of the island. I felt like this was a great way to experience a lot in a short amount of time and the tour guide helped a lot. Enjoyed Casabari Park, Aloe Factory, California Lighthouse, and Eagle Beach. Be aware that, even though the excursion itselft is not strenuous, the walk from the ship to the bus can be quite a distance, especially when it is hot outside. Also be prepared to pay to use the restroom at Eagle Beach and there are no toilet seats. Views were wonderful though!
Our tour guide, Jay was great, informative and funny. Liked all the stops but would have liked more time at the Natural Bridge. People at the last pick-up stop were late and that was irritating. Seats on the bus didn’t have enough leg room for individuals with long legs like my husband. The stop at the Natural Bridge should be 45 min and the lunch stop was too long. Recommend box lunches and longer stops. The food at the lunch stop was horrible.
This was an awesome trip and Benjamin was the best driver and narrator, hands down. The sites were beautiful and the history of Aruba that Benjamin shared was very informative. This is a must do trip.
