It was such a fun experience with the kids. The admission fee came included in tickets booked through trip advisor. The excursion was about an hours. The tour guide was very informative and it was a great fun atmosphere for everyone. Definitely recommend for families.
The tour guide was awesome, and having his little grandson as a helper made it even better. The guide was funny, engaging, and super informative throughout the visit. The highlight was definitely getting to interact with the birds—first feeding an ostrich from a bowl, and later on right from my hands! An incredible experience and an absolute must-visit. Worth every penny! I would go back just to feed the ostriches again!
We had such a great time at the Ostrich Farm! Tours are every hour on the hour, if you get there a bit early you have time to sit and eat as they have a full menu of items to choose from and a very nice gift shop with local finds. Harold was our tour guide, he made the experience around the farm so much fun! We had the opportunity to feed the ostriches and took many photos along the way. Would definitely do this again when we come back!
July2026: 4⭐: Overall, this attraction earns a mixed but generally positive recommendation. Unfortunately, the onsite restaurant is 2⭐ out of 5⭐ which was was a major letdown and significantly diminished the overall experience. The wildlife interactions and gift shop are genuinely worthwhile and provide experiences that are both fun and unique, making the visit enjoyable for families and animal lovers alike. However, the poor quality of the food I was served with my spouse prevents the venue from earning a stronger overall rating. The best approach is to visit the birds, enjoy the interactive tour, have questions for the tour guide, browse the gift shop, and plan to eat elsewhere. The ostrich farm offered a memorable and unique wildlife experience that was easily one of the more distinctive attractions we encountered in Aruba. Walking through the farm and interacting with the birds was both entertaining and engaging, with the ostriches themselves proving to be surprisingly interesting. Feeding them was a particular highlight, the slight pinch of their peck was just enough to make the encounter exciting without being uncomfortable. The experience extended beyond the ostriches as well, with a smaller enclosure housing turkeys, a goose, chickens, a rooster, a turtle, and ducks. These additional animals added plenty of added interest and fun. It was especially amusing to me to get one of the turkeys to respond to a turkey call and a rooster to crow back in response. The only disappointment on the tour side was the emu enclosure, as the emus were far less interactive than the other birds and felt like a missed opportunity for additional hands-on interactions. The souvenir shop was another standout part of our visit. Serving as the central cashier area for the activity, it was much more than a simple gift shop and offered a range of unique items that stood apart from the typical souvenirs found elsewhere on the island. In fact, some of our favorite gifts came from this shop. Between the wildlife interactions and the shopping experience, the attraction delivered several distinctive experiences that felt refreshingly different from many of the island’s other tourist attractions. The restaurant offered a much more generic captured tourist type dining experience and failed to execute. The grouper meal was severely overcooked and unappetizing, and there was my concern about whether the fish being served was actually grouper at all. It didn't taste like grouper nor was the texture and thickness like grouper. The rice and beans tasted less than fresh, while a mango and strawberry smoothie arrived heavily diluted with ice chips, leaving very little actual fruit flavor. The restaurant’s one notable novelty is the opportunity to order an ostrich egg as part of a platter, which the tour explains is roughly equivalent to 24 chicken eggs and can feed four to six people. However, visitors should be aware that the preparation alone requires approximately an hour and a half due to the time needed to boil the egg.
Such a unique experience. Shout out to Harold! He is a personable and informative guide. The way how an ostrich foot looks will forever be embedded into my brain. Got bit by the baby ostrich, good times lmao! Highly recommend.
This is a great short stop on your island adventure. Food and drinks onsite add to the fun
This is a great spot to do something different. Get up close and feed these big birds and learn about them. Very unique and interesting
The ostrich farm was a quick and fun experience. The tour was well-organized but lacked variety. We enjoyed being able to get up close and personal with the birds and letting them eat out of our hands was exciting but there was nothing else beyond that. The tour guide did a good job but we could tell it was scripted and rehearsed. Their internet connection was down at the time we attended so the facility was cash only. Keep that in mind if you are looking to purchase any gifts, food, or tickets.
What a great experience, learned lots from Pamela, wha a great guide.
Great place, wild but tamed. Harold was awesome guide. The place has everything you need, food drink gifts, . Feeding the ostriches was quite the adventure.
My wife and I stayed in Aruba during the middle of December, and rented a car to explore the island. One of the places that we looked at and wanted to go was the Ostrich Farm. After purchasing our admission, we were greeted by Harold, who gave us the tour. Harold has worked there for many years, and is very knowledgeable when it comes to Ostriches. It’s a nice stroll outside, so bring comfy shoes and a hat and, or sunscreen if you are one of those who (like me) need to keep from getting sunburned. It was a lot of fun and we would go back, if we decide to go back to Aruba next year, which is a good possibility. There are many things to do on the island, and many sited to see, but if you’re interested at all, go see the Big Birds. Many thanks to Harold, who made the visit fun and informative.
The ostriches are impressive and interesting to see up close. Also the feeding was quite new. Unfortunately the overall experience felt like a tourist trap and not worth the money. The tour cost $17 per person and lasted only about 22 minutes. The guide delivered a mumbled and rehearsed, superficial story with some scripted jokes. His English was hard to understand, and although questions were prompt answered, the answers lacked depth or enthusiasm for the job. When asked what makes this a “farm,” it was openly stated that it is just for tourists. At the end, there was a rather pushy request for a tip, which felt inappropriate given the short duration and lack of quality. Overall, a disappointing experience that we would not recommend.
Get a guided tour of the ostrich farm and have a chance to feed the ostriches. Guide tells you about the ostriches and how they keep them happy.
Our guide Harold was great. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We'll worth the time and effort to visit the farm.
Although this place is small, it was very enjoyable to feed and pet the Emus and Ostriches. The whole tour took around 30 minutes (very small group first thing in the morning). The guide was very informative and I learned a lot about ostriches I didn’t know. The shaved ice they seller was wonderful and the staff very friendly.
Good overall experience. This is a shorter length tour about 30 minutes. If your looking for something quick to do this is perfect. Just don't plan on spending more than 2 hours here
The guide and one of the managers is nice, but the staff needs work. One girl wouldn’t do much as give you cup of water if they closed early, and they close when they feel like it and not a 4pm always. There is also this rude Hispanic man that claims to not speak English, but wants you to “vamos” and leave asap… All I wanted to do is sit and my car and send a damn picture for a sec and pull up the gps. Very nasty! But I appreciate the tour guide the most. Buy a ticket in advance and make sure to come by 3pm. As for the staff, LEARN TO BE NICER! Tourism is what keeps things going.
Visiting the ostrich farm was such a unique and interesting experience! The tour was not only educational but also very entertaining—the guide was funny, engaging, and clearly very knowledgeable about the animals. I learned so much while also having a great time. The art store was a real treasure trove, full of unique items and local pieces that made it hard to leave empty-handed. On top of that, the lady working at the front was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel welcome right from the start. Overall, this is definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for something different, memorable, and fun!
I loved the tour it was amazing!! I highly recommend when visiting Aruba!! Also I would book the tour with lunch included as the food there was really good! I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and my daughter had their wings!!!
This little place was nice, and the tour guide was quite friendly. Tickets for adults are $15, and $8 for children. This place isn't very big, so keep that in mind if you plan to vist. For a family of 4, I paid $46 and then another $10 for the tip. I think we spent a total of 30 minutes looking at (and feeding) the ostriches. The tour guide was friendly, and shared some interesting facts about ostriches.
Unique and Fun Experience. Worth the Visit ! We stumbled upon the Aruba Ostrich Farm while looking for something different to do outside of the usual beach activities, and I’m so glad we did. It was such a cool and unexpected experience. The guided tour was both fun and informative. Our guide had a great sense of humor and really knew his stuff. I never thought I’d get that close to an ostrich, let alone feed one. They’re quirky, a little intimidating, but fascinating creatures. There were also emus and some other animals on site, which added to the experience. The farm itself is easy to find, and there’s a small gift shop and cafe with refreshments. It’s not a long visit, maybe an hour or so, but definitely worth the stop, especially if you're traveling with kids or just want to do something a little out of the ordinary. Overall, it was a fun break from the beach. Highly recommend adding it to your Aruba itinerary.
Great experience. Tour was fun. Some people complain that they only walk around and see some ostriches.....well the name sort of implies that. Like our UTV tour guide said when a lady asked if it was fun "If you like big chickens then you will like it, if you don't like big chickens then you wont"
The farm is clean and the ostriches and other birds (emu, turkey, ducks, peacocks, macaws, etc) all look well cared for. I learned a lot about ostriches that I never knew from our informed and entertaining tour guide Harold. This is a sweet tour and doesn't take a lot of time. Lots of photo opps. Great for kids & adults.
Love supporting the animals but overpriced for a walk through that lasted 10 minutes if you don’t count the 20 min feed session where you can feed the ostriches one couple at a time when in a group of 20+. We opted not to to move from area. Tour guide was nice. Worth 5$ pp not 15$ minimal birds at sanctuary.
This is a great way to get away from the beach and the crowds, see and learn something different, and give back a little. This one is pretty easy to find, right on the road to the Natural Bridge--you can't miss it. Parking is free. The guide was super-helpful, offering to carry a chair for my mobility-impaired partner. You get lots of explanations about the ostriches and emus there. You can feed them from a bowl and feed a few by hand. Total time for the tour was about an hour. There is a nice gift shop with some interesting local stuff, and lots of stuff ostrich-branded. There's a nice bar and food is available on a very large and breezy shaded porch.
The Ostrich Farm has birds, ostriches, and emus (so, of course, also be prepared for some Liberty Mutual insurance jokes [LiMu Emu].) The experience of feeding the ostriches was a good one. You can do it from a bowl and/or by hand. Harold, our tour guide, did a good job of facilitating the photo sessions with the birds. However, he started the tour 15 minutes late with no apologies or acknowledgements of this lateness. He rushed through the tour by talking real fast and walking way ahead of all of the group, barely allowing time for questions throughout the course of the tour. He did allow time for questions at the very end of it. It all just seemed like Harold was in a hurry to get the tour done as fast as he could. The restaurant is advertised there, and we were hungry and looking forward to lunch. However, it was closed when we were there, and we were told that the owners and workers of the restaurant basically run it periodically whenever they feel like it. They did have shaved ice available and a small freezer with pre-packaged, frozen desserts. Ostrich and Emu eggs are on the menu there. Even though it states that a prior reservation is required for these dishes, there is no link, no reservation form online, and no information about how to do this reservation. Also, this was located rather far out and the taxi was expensive to get there. The restrooms were clean and well stocked.
My husband and I stopped to see the Ostrich farm. They also have Emus, parrots and peacocks. It was a fun experience and our guide was very knowledgable. It was fun and a little scary if I am being honest feeding the Ostrich's but our guide made us as safe as possible. We learned a lot and glad we had stopped. I recommend it if it sounds interesting and you have a little time.
