The tour was very informative and it was pretty cool to learn this much about the history of the distillery. Our tour guide Adela was really nice and always gave us time to ask questions about what she told us about the history.

Fascinating background information about Toronto from its early years to the present. The whisky district grew as cholera affected the population as beer and whisky were safer to drink than lake water. Our guide Mike was affable, knowledgeable, and clearly interested in the topic of the tour and in making our time together pleasantly entertaining & fun. Highly recommended!

David have us a great overview of the history of whiskey production in Toronto and its influence on the development of the area. This was a great short tour filled with sights and historical information. I highly recommend taking it.

Although the weather was dreadful, our guide did his best to make our experience entertaining and pleasant. He very kindly offered us a taste of dark chocolate at the end of the tour. We definitely enjoyed the tour!

We took the walking tour with our guide Tom who was very friendly and informative. We learned about the area's history dating back over the centuries. It was interesting how there was an association with prohibition in the U.S. and some notorious individuals. We had not realized how many movies were filmed in the area. We had fun and it was a good value for us.

Erik brought the 19th-century Gooderham & Worts distillery to life with fascinating details about how the site evolved from a humble milling operation into one of the world’s largest whiskey producers. His storytelling struck the perfect balance between historical facts, humor, and local anecdotes — it felt more like a conversation with a passionate intellectual and a seasoned guide.

This was a great tour! We misunderstood what this tour was about initially(we thought it involved tastings), but our tour guide Tom totally made the tour! He was personable, funny and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. It was an hour well spent.

Stopped here on a bike tour then stopped later on my own. Lots of places to grab some drinks and walk around. I went to the Flame Brewery and Mill Street Pub and they were more affordable than other bars in the city

I had a wonderful walking tour with Erik today. He was extremely knowledgeable about the distillery area and Toronto history as a whole. Erik presented this history in a very interesting and often humorous manner. It was a very hot day and he did his best to keep us in the shade or in indoor cooler areas. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend.

Nice way to explore the District. It was a short walking tour but covered key historical facts about both the district and the city in those days. We were able to enter a few distillery buildings that were not open to the public. With the highlights provided, we enjoyed lunch and a little more time exploring before leaving the area.

Devin did a fantastic job of explaining the history of the distillery. He is knowledgeable and engaging. He also seems genuinely interested in the stories of the area and in sharing those stories. We loved the chocolate and beer sampling at the end of the tour. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely walking tour with our guide Devin. As it was a hot day he made sure we were in the shade for most of the time and spent some time indoors too. We learnt many new things about the history of the Distillery District. I would recomend it.

Our guide, Erik, was amazing! He was personable and delivered all the interesting history and information (that he can compress) during our short walking tour; he usually provides the 1 hour tour. Our visting guest and locals alike enjoyed his humour, enthusiasm and energy as he guided us through the distillery district. He's embedded with a lot of information and always encouraged us to ask any questions. You won't regret booking this tour!

David was a great tour guide and knew a lot about the art. The description did say “walking and tasting tour” but we didn’t get to taste anything (only reason this isn’t a 5 star review). I did also have to point out a bunch of different older artifacts and ask “what is that?” And he would tell us and answer questions, but I would have hoped he would point out all the things themselves (e.g., asking about the old safe, the various tools used for the whiskey making process). I quite enjoyed walking around and seeing many of the original buildings and structures in the area.

I had the best experience with my guide Adela. She was very knowledgeable and she made the experience very interesting. I highly recommend this walking tour.
