I had so much fun on this St Lawrence Market food tour. As a Toronto local, it was so special to see everything with a fresh lens and experiencing new food vendors that I otherwise would have missed. I enjoyed hearing the stories with each meal, and I definitely was full by the end. Logistically, the meeting point was easy to find and the route wasn't physically demanding which is great for all age ranges. I would recommend to both locals and tourists alike.

Such a lovely way to spend an afternoon! I learned and ate so so much and our guide Damian had a lot of interesting info about the city and the market to share. For the amount, quality(!!), variety, and story line behind the food options, I found it great value for money and would definitely recommend.
I had a fantastic experience on this food tour! Our guide, Damian was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The tour was about 2h and included a nice guided walk around the Market. We then visited the north market, then the main market. The food choice was DELICIOUS! I would highly recommend this tour to both Torontonians and tourists. Thank you for the wonderful tour, Damian!
An Informative and Enjoyable Food Tour of St Lawrence Market I joined the St Lawrence Market food walking tour organised by Tasty Tour Toronto in August 2026, and it was a very enjoyable experience. Our group that day consisted of seven adults and three children from three countries — Canada, Bulgaria and Singapore. Our tour guide, Damian, is a Toronto native and clearly has a good knowledge of the St Lawrence Market area and its history. The tour began with a walk around the neighbourhood surrounding St Lawrence Market. Damian introduced us to the churches, historic buildings and interesting stories about the area before we made our way into the market itself. I enjoyed this part of the tour because it gave us a better appreciation of the neighbourhood rather than simply focusing on the food. Inside St Lawrence Market, we had the opportunity to try several different foods. These included lobster soup, salmon prepared in two different ways, the famous local peameal bacon from Carousel Bakery with a selection of mustard sauces, poutine, and finally chocolates from ChocoSol Traders. My favourite food of the day was definitely the lobster soup. It was rich, flavourful and probably the highlight of the food tasting for me. I also enjoyed the peameal bacon, particularly with the maple mustard, which was my favourite of the mustard sauces we tried. Overall, I found the tour informative, interesting and well organised. Damian did a good job explaining the history of the neighbourhood and introducing us to the different foods and vendors at St Lawrence Market. He was also able to accommodate the three children in our group well, which helped make the tour enjoyable for everyone. If you are visiting Toronto and would like to learn a little about the history of the St Lawrence Market neighbourhood while sampling some local food, I would recommend giving this walking tour a try.
Really great experience. Lots of interesting history of the food we were eating and generally delicious eats.
This was my first Toronto walking tour and I was really impressed. The food portions were huge! Good value for money. The tour was a good length and I loved the selection, especially spoiler the two different salmon. Now every time I see St Lawrence market I know the best spots and its history. Great guide. Liked the smaller size. Intimate. Fun. Highly recommend.
This was an incredible experience, I highly recommend. I came as someone who has visited the market before, but moved to the area and wanted to get a proper review. I discovered so many things I did not realize despite having been there a few times before. The food selection was special, a true 'coast-to-coast' Canadian selection that was very thoughtful. The value is huge because you get a lot. There is lots to learn, and so much to eat. The length of the tour is perfect. You feel like you got more than you expected and leave satisfied. The market is a one-of-a-kind experience for the city and a really special way to feel the heart and soul of the market. I especially appreciate the focus on quality over quantity, thoughtful group sizes are very helpful given the market can get crowded. The staff is incredible. Damian was so knowledgeable and thoughtful as well, our guide. His passion stood out. This is definitely a must try and is best for both newcomers to the city and those that thought they knew a lot about this gem.
Damian gave us a brief historical summary regarding the origin and changes of the St. Lawrence Market through the years. He navigated us through the busy Saturday markets, then brought us a couple of foods to sample and enjoy outside, before continuing inside for the final culinary offerings. The portions were large, and we ended up sharing. A little heads up on how to meet him by the dog fountain would have been nice, but once we called the included number, we hooked up right away.
Damien. Was very good tour guide
Informative, and worth my time
Super insightful and fun tour guide Damien was very engaging.
Very good organized, kids enjoyed.I recommended for family. We had nice time with Tasty Tour and very tasty finish with hot chocolate.
We had some family visiting so we wanted for ourselves and our guests to get the history of a famous part of our city and a taste of some of the foods we enjoy. The guide was well informed answering all our question. I would highly recommend this tour.
as a local, we discovered places we would never have found on our own and we learned new things about the history of Toronto. The guide was well informed and made the experience a lot of fun.
Damian provided history on Toronto as well as great food at the market. I highly recommend this tour. Come hungry m!
We met Damien and had a terrific tour, he was very knowledgeable about the history of the building and the vendors. We ate some amazing food.
Good tour guide but it does not worth the money. But, you will get good information about foods in Toronto.
Damian was very knowledgeable and energetic. We really enjoyed talking to him about Canada and Toronto's food scene. He has great recommendations for food and beverage in the city as well. Highly recommend taking this tour! It was very personable because it was just the two of us and Damian.
Damien provided interesting information, was knowledgeable about the history of the market and area, friendly, and took time to interact with us. He was able to pivot since we had just had poutine the day before and arranged a "Greek poutine" for us to enjoy. Each of the vendors were exceptionally welcoming and the selections were delicious. The drinking chocolate at the final stop is amazing!!
Damien was great and even customized our tour since we had already had an item that was on our tour.
Great time, great food, thanks Damian
We went on this tour and had a great time touring the st Lawrence market area and trying all the food. Our guide Damian was super helpful and made this tour memorable. Super recommended.
Great vibes, good food choices, and Damian taught me plenty about Toronto, even though I've been living here my whole life
A+, loved the tour, the different foods were all excellent

Damien was great. He was knowledgeable, friendly. Would definitely recommend!
Absolutely loved it, 5 stars! Our guide, Damian, was very knowledgeable about both food and Toronto history. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and eager to answer our questions throughout the tour. The food was delicious and left us quite full. Would definitely recommend this tour.
We met up with our guide Damien by a fountain close to the St. Lawrence market. Took a short historical walk to the market. In the market we got to taste signature dishes from Toronto. Thanks for guiding us through the market!
