Johnny gave us the best tour! We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this experience. He gave us a wonderful commentary , was courteous and funny. We got to see so much, loved the commentary and appreciated the pick up and drop off at the Hilton Double tree. We loved the boat ride. We didn’t do the lunch as we’d already had a large breakfast. Others thought it was a good option, though.

AVOID AVOID AVOID Avoid this company at all costs. They are total rip off merchants. We paid over $1700 US dollars for the worst experience we have ever encountered. We were collected in a mini bus with seat belts that didn’t work properly and a driver who continually went way over the speed limit. We were booked to do the helicopter trip but due to low cloud they weren’t flying. We were advised if the weather improved we may go later in the day. The weather duly brightened up and we could see the helicopters were up, but it was never mentioned again and due to the way the tour is organised there is no time to go back. Everyone on the tour had different add ons (I caught a glimpse of the guide/drivers sheet) so it was absolutely impossible for us all to be accommodated. We missed Queen Victoria Park, the smallest chapel and Niagara on the Lake and unfortunately ended up with over 2 hours on Clifton Hill as our guide had to accommodate those doing the Skylon Tower and the pre paid lunch. It took us 2 hours to get there due to multiple pick ups that were still being added on as we were on route and then 2 uncomfortable hours to get back. The guide couldn’t have cared less about the fact that we didn’t get what we paid for. During the trip I was continually WhatsApping someone in the office who just told me to email in for a refund for the helicopter part and that the day was up to the guides discretion as to what you saw and in what order. None of this is made clear on their many websites as we booked this tour through Zoom and others booked it through different companies which again was very odd. An email has been duly sent and ignored so no refund as yet. It was an absolute shambles.
We had an amazing day! Johnny our tour guide was excellent! He is not only a tour guide but he’s a comedian also. He was very informative and could handle a difficult guest with ease. I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide!
Small group is the way to to for Niagara Falls. Less people to round up, easier to maneuver a smaller vehicle, get moved to the front of the line easier. A much better experience than a large group on a coach bus. Gary was an amazing guide and made the experience even better.
Gary is absolutely wonderful, he went above and beyond to make everyone aware of the details about the city. All the tour was smooth and easy.
Johnny was excellent guide driver and facilitator. Knowledgable and very entertaining. Blessed with perfect weather. Falls magnificent. Must do tour
Not the best tour, it could be more entertained.
This company cancelled my original reservation once, then , I flew in here to Toronto just to have a email saying , we are not picking you up at your hotel here is your meeting point. Well I got a little mad about that. They did come and get me at my hotel, and brought me back. But I am not a fan of this company. The tour , even in the rain, went ok, well in fact. But they need to do better business
Johnny was absolutely AMAZING! We’ve taken tours all over the world, and this was by far one of the most enjoyable experiences we’ve ever had. Johnny truly went above and beyond to make the tour personal, fun, and unforgettable. You can tell he was made for this — his passion and energy were incredible. We only wish we had more time so we could have booked another tour with him! Highly recommend!
The tour operator was amazing. He was so versed in history of the areas & the lunch that was included was incredible. The mini van was warm and so comfortable!
We booked a tour from Toronto to Niagara Falls for 3 persons as a SMALL GROUP TOUR with Lunch option in a van of no more that 7 individuals.. A small coach picked up up at the hotel as listed then DROPPED US at the airport to join a 50+ passenger bus for the tour. We specifically booked the SMALL GROUP because one of our group has mobility issues and we DID NOT want to get LOST in the crowd , slow down a large group or be left behind. The ad for this tour stated it was not wheelchair accessible and we clarified that it was "Standing Walker: accessible. (The walker was dumped into underbelly storage and not secured. We could hear it banging around the compartment during the entire trip at turns and stops.) At the stop in Niagara for the water ride near the falls the entire group of 43 individuals was given a quick here are your tickets for "boat ride" and for those having lunch meet at "pointed to a restaurant" at "specific time" & then the driver VANISHED. It was only after the boat ride and speaking with another driver (from the same tour company) that it was clarified just where the restaurant was. The RESCUE DRIVER had a small group out on the boat ride (he checked both the time & his schedule to insure he would not miss his group) and provided transportation for us to the restaurant. It was across a busy tourist car & bus filled street, uphill and about 3 blocks away. Our member with limited stamina for walking could not have made the it without his assistance. I chose to not do a review until after our travels ended and we've returned home. Yes, Niagara Falls was amazing but the experience getting there was NOT AS ADVERTISED - I feel we should be refunded at least 50% of the $558.39 fee we paid. Nancy N-K
This was not a small group as we expected. More importantly the van was old and in dire need of shock absorber . We really bounced around. We should get part refund for the discomfort, or we are unable to use via tot again! Driver and tour were fine!
It was alright but nothing to write home about. The bus had to ac and was in a poor shape. The driver and the tour guides were nice.
BAD comunicacion from the website (local provider makes looks bad you company -Viator-to update the customer time 4 pick up. So at the last minute they cancelled because of low capacity. After a long conversation with Viator they make me a refund, but your options were null since you got the time reduced to do it in another moment. Thanks to the hotel who helped us to do our Niagara falls an unique experience...
The falls are breathtaking and the boat ride was a highlight. It was nice to see the whirlpool also. The view at lunch was amazing and lunch was really good.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Advertised as small group tour, hotel pick up and one of the stops being Niagara on Lake. NONE of this happened and company refusing to acknowledge any wrong doing or give any refund We were a group of 9 and booked small tour with hotel pick up. We were told with less than 24 hours notice of a different pick up point that was not even in walking distance. We had to get Uber to the pick up point, it was a 50 seater coach not a small vehicle, we had to wait and did not depart on time due to others being late, then had to go to airport for pick up, then late leaving Niagara - all leading to no stop at Niagara on Lake as advertised. Now taking legal advise on this as such poor attitude being shown from the company
Contrary to the booking, we were not picked up from the hotel, but were forced to come to Toronto airport without an alternative - after booking - and were picked up there. The tour guide told us nothing about the country and its people, but only a little about Niagara Falls. Jokes about other guests from previous tours and nations were made to lighten the atmosphere. According to the telephone booking via the hotel, lunch was not included after all, but was paid for on the spot. 35 EUR per person for a buffet lunch.
What an awesome trip! It was the perfect way to see the Falls and enjoy the amazing sights in the region along the way. The boat ride was exhilarating, and the views from the Fallsview Restaurant during lunch were unparalleled. Gary, our driver and guide, kept us on time and got us everywhere efficiently and safely. The stops during the trip were a lot of fun, too. There was a minor issue with the AC on the bus toward the end of the tour, but Gary had water bottles for us and accommodated as best he could. @Zoom Tours, please tell Gary we enjoyed the trip and that he was a wonderful guide! We appreciate him!
I booked with zoom tours through third party provider getyourguide. In the attached screenshot on the booking site a boat tour is included, however, was not delivered. In an act of bad faith, zoom tours fails to mention that boat tours are not available in the winter time. This is dishonest and takes advantage of consumer trust. The tour guide was jolly but made polarizing statements regarding politics and religion as well as presenting as facts history that is scientifically false. Several times he lamented the decrease in numbers of people attending church as a practicing Christian. He also minimized the presence of indigenous people in the Niagara region, saying they arrived 2000 years ago, when the signage in the Journey of the Falls lobby dates their presence since before the formation of the falls 12000 years ago. He imitated some Indian accents while telling a story. When he announced how glad he was that Canada had no problem with illegal Mexican immigrants trying to cross the border, the Mexican mother and daughter in the front seat looked clearly uncomfortable. The tour guide is a quirky and hardworking older gentleman, but his humor may not be to everyone's taste. If you want to be driven around on a time constraint to visit the Journey Behind the Falls (instead of the advertised boat tour), taste some maple syrup, and visit the quaint little Niagara-on-the-lake town, this trip may be worth it. However, as tourists without mobility issues, we would have preferred more free time, as well as access to the more family friendly Clifton Hills Niagara Falls Attractions. Next time we visit, we would purchase the go train ticket available for $17.79 and spend the day exploring Niagara Falls at a more leisurely pace and with more attention to our personal points of interest.
Great Tour. On time pickup, great explanations and spots. Lunch was good to with nice views. Gary was super friendly and helpful.
First, the positive part of the day—the Falls! The boat ride was spectacular! We loved it! But that was the only great part of the day. So I will list the description from the Viator event and then describe the reality. 1. Pickup and drop off from your local hotel. No, this did not happen. I reserved the tour for pickup from our hotel in Missassagua. The night before, they send me a message that I need to now spend another $80 to drive 40 minutes into Toronto to meet the bus. I push back and they agree we can meet at the airport. Still an additional $20 Uber since we don’t have a car. 2. Air conditioned bus with free WiFi. No and no. The bus was sweltering without AC. The 1.5 hour ride to and from the falls was miserable! 3. A tour guide was described in the reviews and in the description for this event. No. Just a bus driver who mumbled intelligible phrases into a loud speaker occasionally. Same bus driver who failed to meet us before lunch, leaving us to try and find the restaurant on our own. 4. Stop at a winery with complimentary tasting. No and no. This is one of the reasons we booked this tour in the first place! When I asked the bus driver why no winery he gave me a funny look and said, oh we don’t do that anymore! So the tour has changed but Viator has not updated their listing. They probably won’t even publish this review. So if you made it to the end of this review, thanks, but don’t trust the listing. Call the tour operator because there may be more listings that are out of date.
Our group guide, Johnny, was excellent-- fluent in about a zillion languages, really knew the area and the culture, and had so much great information to share with us. He made the day really special. The buffet luncheon wasn't the best value for the price, but you're paying for the gorgeous view as well as the convenience, so factor that in as you plan your purchases. There wasn't anything "wrong" with it per se... like, the food quality was just fine, but at that price point it should be better than "just fine". The boat tour itself is fantastic, although I would have liked it to be longer (I don't believe it is an option at all). It's very cool to get that close to the Falls. Definitely a great experience.
Our tour guide , Johnny, was brilliant. He absolutely made the day. All was well arranged and very informative
Johnny our tour guide was the absolute best. This tour was perfect for me from start to finish. I'll definitely do again if I come back
We scheduled this tour a couple weeks in advance for a 9:30am tour and last minute the company called us and switched us to 3:30pm. This minor inconvenience didn’t matter because our tour guide; John was amazing and the group we were with was great! John is very outgoing and knows just about everything about Niagara Falls. He gave us all the good restaurants and suggested other activities for the rest of our trip.
Our group of eight highly recommends this tour provided by Zoom Tours. From the very beginning, the experience was positive. The reservation was easily made through Viator & was reconfirmed the day before. Our guide/driver, Dwayne, was excellent! He picked us up at our hotel in a Mercedes Sprinter which was clean & comfortable. He was prompt, professional, courteous & informative. Kudos to him! The day trip (~8.5 hrs) was very good. Lots to learn, experience & see. There was time to walk around & capture the beauty of the Falls. The boat ride was exhilarating & a must do! The lunch afterwards had plenty of variety but was just so-so. On the way back to our hotel, we stopped at a quaint town, Niagara on the Lake. We highly recommend Zoom Tours to others.
Hi Niagra itself was amazing - however this tour info says u stop at Brocks monument and we didn’t - it also says that you visit an award winning winery and taste the famous ice wine again we didn’t - honestly we were disappointed.
Had the most fabulous time on our day trip to the falls experiencing the power of the water on land and boat We had the most kind and accommodating host and driver Garry who looked after our every need. On the way home we stopped at the smallest chapel and a country market shop for treats. Would so recommend this tour.It is the highlight of our visit to Toronto. Jude and Piki te Ora
Don’t waste your money on lunch. The buffet lunch turned out to be the hotels buffet breakfast that hadn’t yet been cleared for lunch. Absolutely vile as it has clearly been lying out for hours
It is not possible to rate this tour company, Zoom Tours, since they "sold " us to another tour group by King Tour. I will give King Tour 5 Stars because they gave us a good time in Niagara Falls.
We started out with our guide Fabio, who was totally great. He explained everything along the way, pointing various sites . We stopped along the way to pick passengers at various points, he greeted everyone. When we got to Niagra Falls the tour started. We did not have to wait in the long lines. The behind the falls was great. the Boat Tour was fabulous. We got pretty wet, saw all the falls. Had a great lunch. We continued with the rest of the tour with different stops at long the, great. We both agreed that Fabio made this tour very enjoyable. Would totally recommend this tour.
This was a great tour! Definitely recommend joining if you're wanting to explore Niagara Falls and learn more about the surrounding sights. I've rated this tour five stars overall, but please note some specifics: Make sure you keep an eye on your email in the few days leading up to your tour. They emailed me two times over two days asking if I would be willing to change my booking last minute to a different one they were offering day of. I declined and they honoured my original booking without issue. They may change the meeting time and location last minute via email notification. They confirmed a new location with me and were 20 minutes late picking me up. Would have been great if they offered some water on the trip and be sure to pack a light sweater or jacket as the bus ride is very chilly (air conditioner blasted and wind from the highway ride). Last but not least, I'd like to give a huge shout out to Kaleb in particular! He was our tour guide/driver for the day and he was simply incredible! Tons of passion, great facts about everything we saw, and very friendly and helpful. Would absolutely tour with him again. Thanks for the great time, Kaleb! Wish you luck in everything going forward.
Fabio was our tour guide and he was great! Gave lots of great and interesting information and was super funny and nice. We got to see a lot of great areas.
The good: Fabio is enthusiastic and has a lot of information to share. He does his best to make it a good experience. The falls are, of course, amazing to see. The bad: You will spend a lot of time in the bus—if you are the first on you will spend an hour just picking up others. Do not add the lunch option—it's much too expensive for the quality you get (think cafeteria food). The deal breaker: We chose this tour because we wanted to do the falls and Niagara on the Lake. But our tour did not go there, despite it being listed on our itinerary. Customer service never responded to my emails.
Fabio was very nice but didn’t go to Niagara on the lake to see the shops which I was looking forward to seeing. Fabio was an great tour guide! Did not like the lunch place - very average
Amazing tour with a very good guide, Fabio. He was very nice and knew a lot. The trip was very good, funny and structured.
We did the tour on Friday, August 27th, our Tour Guide Fabio was short fussed and hard to understand. First of all there is false advertisement for there is no complementary WIFI and we did not get a souvenir either. Our guide was very impatient and short tempered, which made the experience not enjoyable. People talked among themselves on how hard it was to understand him and/ or to approach him. I tried to ask him a question and he brushed me off. So we were not too sure how the day was going to go. I decided just to enjoy the day and ignore him. I have travelled around the world and have done many tours and by far this one was just below average.
Good things to remark: - The punctuality of every activity. -The organization. -The bus was very clean. -The experience of seeing the Niagara falls by the first time, was really incredible. You will get a little bit wet, if you get inside the hornblower boat. Things to improve: - It was not clear the picking-up location. I was waiting at the exact point they told us to wait (at the Tim Horton of 55 York Street), and after several minutes, I noticed that the driver was waiting at the other side of the lane. - I was expecting the bus to have Wi-Fi, but it didn't. -The lunch at the Sheraton hotel, was good but I was expecting to find more options to choose on the buffet. -Our guide tour, Fabio, had a lot of knowledge; but he was a little bit grumpy. He could improve that.
My dad and I did this tour on a Sunday, our van was only two weeks old and very comfortable and our tour guide Fabio was very friendly and had some great info. We enjoyed the boat tour and sights from the restaurant and had a wonderful day. Great value for money for all the things you get to see. We also had a bloke in a wheelchair who our guide wasn’t expecting and he was super accomodating and helpful with him.
Had a wonderful time with Fabio our tour guide who was extremely fun. Would certainly reccomend to anyone taking a trip to Ontario.
Overall the trip was good. Excellent customer service from Binita with on-line booking and Gary, the guide/driver. I was disappointed that the stops at the Floral Clock and the Smallest Chapel did not happen as adverrtised in your website for the Freedom DayTour without Boat Cruise package. The wineyard tour was great and ice wine was delicious!
It was a bucket list of mine. The views were absolutely beautiful. It was a nice relaxing, invigorating, informative experience.
We had a wonderful day, our guide Tudi was so nice and very personable. We had great weather, which helped a lot. Loved the falls, and the lunch was surprisingly good. We would do this again
Perfect from A to Z. Boat lunch and wine. I will recommend this to my friends. Our guide Fabio was simply magnificent ☺️
This is our first ever tour and it was absolutely wonderful. Enjoyed every part of it and did not have to worry about what to see, parking, traffic or really anything only to be at the location at a certain time to move onto the next sightseeing event. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Niagara Falls. Last but not least our driver and tour guide Gary was exceptional in showing us this tour.
The trip was breathtaking. Our guide, Fabio, made the entire thing more fun and educational as well. He adapts easily and has an amazing personality. If he's your guide, you're definitely getting the bang for your buck. "With FABIO, anything is possible." -Fabio 2019
Tour started by Michael picking us up at the Westin ...The other tour mates and we started an adventure to Niagra Falls and the area leading up to it including the Floral clock and a winery with tasty product.Even though we missed the Hornblower cruise due to ice in the water still we did get to view the falls from the space needle at the falls!!! Looking forward to the next time we are in Toronto doing this tour again especially with Michael F again...Super person and extremely knowledgeable...
Fabio was the best tour guide ever. He was so funny, nice, and gave us so much history and information about Niagara Falls and the surrounding areas. The tour took us from Toronto to niagara. We got to see so many things like the smallest chapel in the world and tasted some great wine. Overall it was a very fun day and would highly recommend!
Very informative , lived up to my expectations. did'nt realise how wet you would actually get, a bit more than a mist, more like a torrential downpour, not sure if this changes with weather conditions
Trip began right on time with pickup near the Union Station. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and its history. The vehicle was comfortable and offered an excellent view. Being part of a tour enabled us to "fast-pass" some of the lines which was excellent. The boat ride to the falls was fun and only slightly soggy. Lunch was a buffet overlooking the falls at one of the local hotels-- wonderful view and the food was excellent. (Be cautious of add-on drinks there-- sodas were $6 CA, ouch!) Our trip back included stops at several more sights including a wonderful winery. Overall it was well worth the price and we would take this tour again.
