Ottawa Street Art Exploration Game And Self-guided Tour

I'd say this activity is best done by bicycle or scooter, unless you want a very long walk. The estimated time given is definitely for bicycle or scooter, not for walking time. We walked it, and it took about four hours. Lovely way to explore some neighborhoods we would not otherwise have seen as tourists, and the murals are amazing!

We had a lot of fun playing this scavenger quest. The directions were easy to follow and we saw some amazing street art. We also learned about the message behind the art and something about the artists.

I loved it! The 80min is definitely by bike though and NOT on foot. On foot I would count on 3h or so. Because it was much longer than expected, I didn't manage to finish it on scene, but I completed it by using Google street view xD The support was really good, it is difficult to go from the support back to the game though.

Such a unique experience for our monthly date night. My husband and I are always looking for inexpensive and out side the box outings and this treasure hunt style your of the down town Ottawa street art brought us around to a quaint cafe we had never seen and some off the path art installations. We enjoyed the scenery the puzzles and the app format. We hope to have more added in our city so we can take advantage of more nights out exploring and discovering.

A very fun way to explore the city! Plenty of art and cardio... Killing 2 birds with 1 stone :) Tip: Wear comfortable shoes.

Unfortunately we did not have time to finish the game, it said it would take just over an hour to complete, but after over 2 hours, and having walked miles, we were still only up to stop 8 of 11, and we ran out of time. The street art on the tour is of variable quality and very spread out with long walks between stops. Also one of the stops no longer exists but we were able to guess the puzzle answer. I like the premise of the game but it's a bit too spread out to do on foot in a short time. At least we got to see plenty of the city!

This is a great way to explore Ottawa. Not only did we get to see various outdoor works of art, we also had fun reading the intriguing story and solving the clues. There was also interesting information provided about the artists and related historical events. It is a lot of walking and we found that it took longer than expected. I would suggest wearing comfortable shoes and giving yourself lots of time to thoroughly enjoy the experience.

Lovely way to see Ottawa. We just did not realise how long it would take and were pooped by the end of it!!

Fun experience. Enjoyed the stories. Definitely took much longer than stated. With a break for lunch and a coffee break (total about 45 minutes) it took 3.5 hours. I believe it was about 8km of walking.

This is a great way to see some amazing murals and street art in Ottawa. It was fun to solve the clues and enjoy a sunny afternoon. We would recommend good walking shoes and a fully-charged phone - we ended up going back to our car and driving the last 4 stops since we were worried our phone would die. This would be best on a bike or scooter. There was a bit of confusion on the mural with the petals in the woman's hair. We needed a clue, but there wasn't one. We recommend stopping along Elgin for a drink and the breakfast sandwiches at Arlington Five are worth a pause. You could finish your day with dinner at Corner Peach in Chinatown or another restaurant on Preston. I found the fictional story a little silly, but it's easy to skip over. We're looking forward to trying more games.

It was super fun to explore the city through art! The directions were clear and easy to follow. It did take longer than the estimated time though.

We weren't able to find the starting point to start using the game. We were using two phones and one would point us in one direction as the starting point - and the other phone would point us in the exact opposite direction as the starting point. We went to both locations, but they would direct us to turn around and go back to where we started from. Overall, a frustrating experience. Please provide actual addresses to get people started, and/or all points of interest you are wanting people to see. Glad I only wasted $13 on this game.

This was a great way to see the city, get some exercise and enjoy the day! I personally walked the route so it gave me extra time to see the sites and I found that the route took me on streets I would not normally have been down. I have already looked up what other tours are available and can't wait to try another.

Really a great time. If you're walking, make sure to bring water and running shoes and comfy gym clothes because it's a workout. Lots of great places along this walk foe breaks though! We passed countless restaurants so if you want to take a break because you're pooped, it's totally an option.

Good but we wasted time looking for the beginning point when it is useless.

In the end I paid and did nothing I went to the address indicated but there was no one. I had not seen that this activity was free, i.e. without accompanying person, which was not indicated at the beginning

It looked well done unfortunate with the cold in winter and the GPS location we did not have time to realize the experience, hardly the first fresco! To do in summer preferably!

This experience was awesome! I went to visit Canada solo and this experience took up a good part of my afternoon in Ottawa! It allowed me to visit several neighborhoods while being guided so it was really great, I recommend it if you like street art, it’s great! There are just a few works that appear in the photos of other comments that I unfortunately haven't seen and that I would have liked to see :/!
